"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol Building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." The Hill omitted that quote from its article, which is consistent with the rest of the mainstream media's coverage of the speech. In this article by ABC News, a full transcript of the speech is provided. However, in the first part of the article, in which the speech is described, this quote is omitted, and other quotes from the speech are given that lead the reader to conclude that Trump was inciting the crowd to violence. The best video of the entire event before the lawbreaking began is from Right Side Broadcasting Network, which shows the crowd and the stage and loudspeaker system. Based on this information, it appears that the breakdown of the barricades began at least 12 minutes before Trump's speech ended, by people who were over a mile and a half away from Trump....
...Extremely vivid videos of the prelude to and a breach of barricades and entry into the Capitol Building are hereand here on a YouTube channel that identifies "independent photojournalist Jon Farina" as the videographer

This is indeed interesting. A great development. One certain to be used in any defense against another bogus impeachment try. Clearly the crowd Trump personally spoke to is not the same one that broke into the capitol before he was finished speaking a mile and a half away from it. The time stamps of events are exculpatory for the President.

This is great news! We now know it as fact that the President urged his supporters to engage in peaceful protest. We now know that the President was speaking for 10 more minutes after the assault on the capitol began. We know how long it takes to March a mile and a half. It is clear that those engaging in the mob violence at the capitol never heard the Presidents speech and couldn’t have been affected by it or his calls for peaceful protests

How pathetic. Admit it, Trump could be the anti-Christ and you'd blame God.

You can’t refute a single point made by the article or by me.

Oh, you think I read it? Lol.

Will you still be carrying Trump's water when he's behind bars? What other megalomaniacal orange turds do you support? How bout OJ? "If the glove don't fit..." Right? Let's hear it for all the criminals in the USA! Even those that mistakenly got elected POTUS.

Trump is going down in flames, and here you are looking for matches. EVERYTHING IS ALREADY BURNING. Take your head out of the sand and look around.

Why waste people time making comments on something you never bothered to read?

Why are you carrying water for a deranged doomed criminal? Answer that please.

How are you going to "support" Trump? With your hard earned cash? You do realize that Trump has no political future whatsoever, correct? Look around. Join the real world.

They wouldn't have needed to hear the entire speech - it was inflammatory from the beginning, and it was preceded by Giuliani's "trial by combat" speech. Nevertheless, there's not much doubt that there were advance plans to storm the Capitol. Trump stoked the fires long before his Dec 6 speech, by falsely claiming he'd won the election and giving his supporters reason to believe they could "prevent the steal" and that Mike Pence had the power to prevent certification. Had he told the truth BEFORE Dec 6, the insurrection wouldn't have occurred. No one would have been in Washington that day, had he accepted reality and told his supporters that nothing further could be done. His Dec 6 speech was a lost opportunity to give these facts to the crowd. They'd have no reason to leave early if he had told them the facts up front.

I found this quote from the article funny:

"The Hill omitted that quote from its article, which is consistent with the rest of the mainstream media's coverage of the speech. In this article by ABC News, a full transcript of the speech is provided."
So...ABC news isn't part of "mainstream media"?

Playing pretend that the actual attendees would leave a single minute before Trump finished speaking is wacky to the level of delusional, so not surprised to see that in the thread.

You mean the part they left out where he specifically told them to protest peacefully? There is no sign that his crowd got smaller as people were waiting for him whom most came to see to speak. He spoke for about 70 minutes. It’s 1.5 miles from where he was to the part of the capitol that was stormed. The entry and riot started 10 minutes before he was finished speaking to a huge crowd. The people at his speech would have needed 30 minutes to get from where he was to the capitol when they marched after his speech. Clearly there were two separate crowds and the one Trump spoke to on Wednesday isn’t the one that did this.

You realize the FBI has pictures of people at both the rally and riot, correct?

That’s just it! The people were there to see him. Possibly his last major speech as our President. There is no way in heck that the people who came to see him would have left before he did. The riot started 10-15 min before he finished speaking and add time to walk 1.5 miles once they began to disperse and do their peaceful March and protest. Clearly those present at the Presidents speech did not do the riot and entry into the capitol.

Yeah... he urged his supporters to stage a "peaceful" coup d'etat to nullify legal democratic elections and make him the dictator.

It would be hard to come up with an excuse more ridiculous than yours.

It’s possible that some arriving from the speech after the incursion was well underway might have walked in after the fact and walked around inside. I’d like to see your links to those pictures you say the FBI has of people at both events. There were as many as 1,000,000 people there. At most 2,000 were in the capitol building.

Trump has been inciting violence for 2 months. Even in his speech on Wednesday where he was clearly deranged (not different from any other day really), he continued to blab about stolen elections and fraud.

Talking about fraud and stolen elections to people is not an incitement to riot...

Fake News. Trump did not incite the riot.

Well when they are rioting and committing acts of terrorism for that very reason, it is.

You seem to suffering from Trump math disease ... official estimates are 250,000 to 300,000.

And you are behind on the latest conspiracy theories - Antifa actors dressed up as cops and FORCED Trump supporters into the Capitol Building. One of
the actors went so far as to kill himself in his cop uniform just to discredit Trump.

    How do you refute crazy?

You can't. No matter how you spin it, the rest of us, normal America, feared this was going to happen, and it has!

Your blind loyally to this idiot has already killed many. Do you understand that? Do you even care? Probably not, since you keep posting these pathetic excuses and conspiracy theories. Only those who've been baptized in the Orange Man's blood would consider American Thinker a source of information.

Fake news. She was never charged for planting bombs. Using your logic, I guess you can say Trump colluded with Russia because he was charged with that crime. See I can do whataboutisms too.

Rep. Meijer says a Republican colleague voted to object to Biden's electors out of fear of Trump supporters. Says he knew it was a lie but vicious Trump thugs were too dangerous to risk an honest vote.
