Social media company Parler announced Monday that it is suing Amazon, arguing the the company being suspensed from Amazon's hosting service violates antitrust laws and breaches the contract established between the two companies.

Parler, short-form internet posting social media forum that has become particularly popular among conservatives and Trump supporters, is asking the federal judge in Seattle to order the platform be reinstated.

I’m so glad that Parler is doing this. Their lawsuit against Amazon has a lot of merit. They are being discriminated against based on who their subscribers and members are. They are being unfairly held to a different standard compared to others. Amazons actions do breach a contract and does benefit a rival.

I hope Parler wins treble damages and being ordered back on the server per original contract.

Didn't Google precede Amazon in curtailing Parler???

Google and Apple have done the same thing. I'm not sure why Parler isn't going after them yet. Perhaps they are saving their money for one and see where this takes them. After all, courts have not benefited conservative issues like the stolen election.

I too am sad Parler has been banned, but this action if successful would be an unacceptable transgression of Amazon and its shareholders' freedom of expression.

Parler should host its own servers to prevent this sort of thing.

They did but the effects of what Google and Apple did pales in comparison to the effect of what Amazon did.

Amazon and Parler had a contract that Amazon violated.

Parler hasn't a chance in hell. The agreement prohibits the promotion of violence. Parler broke the agreement. They haven't a leg to stand on.

Parler didn’t promote violence. It is against the rules at Parler and against the law to promote violence.

What was Parler doing last week that they weren't doing 2 months ago?

Yet they left it up and allowed a terrorist attack to be organized on their platform.

That likely runs afoul of substantial portions of their agreement. What right does Parler have to demand that Amazon host them? (Since this seems to be an issue — imagine Parler is a gay wedding cake and Amazon is a baker) I can’t keep up with conservatives in this area, do you want companies to be able to discriminate or no?

One the court rules, will you accept that ruling or will y’all run around screaming Parler actually won?

That's funny. Lots of violent acts were planned on Parler. Open and shut case.

They will run around screaming the court is part of the deep state. Trumpers have become too predictable and so detached from reality just like their cult leader.

You guys allowed violent riots, looting, arson and assaults and pretty much defended them or looked the other way. Now a website puts a splinter in your colon.

And democratic leaders condemned the looting.

This is a stark contrast from "we love you, you're very important."

Sure they did. People do what people do. Do you know who said that? Stay the course. Do you know who said that?
