Oh, Joe is wise enough and seasoned enough to realize that Democrats -- in the year 2020 -- established for all time that they can get the votes to take over all of government and put it entirely at their control. All they needed to do was capitalize on vague promises to shovel out welfare endlessly. After all, it's been the Democrat 'core-competency' since FDR, nearly 90 years ago!

NOW, today, it is likely that Democrats may actually have less reliance on the further importation of millions of peasants from all over Mexico and Central America to give them that, uh, political 'competitive edge'.

There's that pragmatic consideration, plus the fact that the Federal Government's enormous handout welfare systems are already dangerously strained (especially during this unpredictable time of "the virus"), and that an enormous increase in welfare-sucking 'immigrants' will necessarily mean that the parasite population we already have eating out of the welfare 'pie' would be getting smaller SLICES, going forward. Ooh! Now, that could mean real trouble for a political party that has nothing else to offer.

The fun will begin, though, when various immigrant 'advocacy groups' and the America-hating ACLU take the Biden admn. to task IF (and that's a mighty big "IF") ol' Joe and his buds do actually decide to try to keep the new hordes in these caravans out of our country. Yeah... that could mean trouble for the Democrats' idyllic 'inclusive' paradigm.

. "Thanks, but no thanks. We've got all the votes we need now, so, adios, go home...."

 

They need to watch the debates again. All Democrats were for decriminalizing the borders and free health care to illegals except maybe 2 and Joe was not one of them.

 

You said "Open Borders". Open border are what we have between the states.
Controlled borders require passports and visas, which is what Biden promotes.
You seem to be calling any boundary without fences and moats and alligators with laser beam eyes as being "open".

Because it’s double-speak. Biden has never said he is for “open borders” because those words would be used against him. Instead, he has said he will impose a moratorium on deportations.

Now if you don’t deport illegal aliens, they are effectively here to stay once they set foot on U.S. territory.

And what that is are open borders without calling them open borders.
