Katie Couric comments

What does anyone think about the Katie Couric interview with Bill Mar in which she says Trump supporters need to be "de-programmed"? These comments we are hearing about "de-programming" and "re-education" are fascist words, even using Hitler's language. And it is a small leap from "re-educating" people to concentration/re-education camps.

What say we take a leaf from the left's book and cancel Katie? Make it plain that if she takes over hosting Jeopardy no one will watch it. Total boycott.

 

Katie Couric is still relevant enough to be interviewed? I thought she was put out to pasture a decade ago.

Anyone who blindly ignores actual evidence, and then when Trump says the election was stolen, believes that, is a CULT. The "patriots" wanted to overthrow the country to install Trump...its a cult

I watched the "The Circus" last night and there were people on there that when Mark McKinnon asked if Trump would be president another four years they said "GOD is in charge and he is Trump"

I agree with the cult sentiment, they are definitely cult members, but "de-programming"? GTFOOH. Thats some scary sh**. We don't need or want the government to regulate thought.

It's funny you refer to Hitler. Talk about a cult!! Keep in mind after many wars - WW11, Korea, Vietnam and I'm sure others we've had to do a lot of work with our returning G.I.s who had been POW's in other countries. Not only did our returning vets need de-programing, how about the entire population of Germany after the end of WW11? You think one man can't mess up a whole country like trump tried to do? Think about Japan and what their propaganda program did to the citizens of Japan. They had civilians who would commit suicide rather than be captured because of what they believed because they were 'programed'. If you think you're in control of your own thoughts Google trump/cult and see what you can find. There's a lot of reading there.

 

I'd agree that "de-programming" was definitely the wrong word to use. It indicates the use of force. However, there is probably no question that we need to find a way to bring those people back to the table who have fully swallowed the alternative facts, the stolen election lies, etc. It is not good if 25% of the society lives in a fantasy world, in which facts and reality means nothing.

My German grandma was in her 30s when Hitler came to power in Germany. I never knew about her politics. However, whenever there was a mess at home, she'd say "Das ist ja wie in der Judde Schul", meaning that it is like in the Jewish school. She had been programmed by years of Nazi propaganda that Jews = bad. How do you get something like this out of people, and convince them that something that they were made believe for decades is just not true? I don't know.

 

She used "program" because Trumpers behave like Trump bots, from that perspective, it's a very fitting word.

Doesn't that work both ways then? Can you name anything you've disagreed with or called out the democrats for if not are you a dem cult member? Seriously, this partisan BS needs to stop, I don't know anyone that believes everything a politician says is right 100% of the time. Obama lied, Bush lied, Clinton lied, Reagan lied, Nancy lies, Mitch lies, and we can go on and on and on. Your side actually believed for 3 years Trump colluded with Russia because the MSM and Dem politicians told you so, that turned out to be utter BS. Were you a dem cult member? Some politicians even lie with good intentions, it just doesn't work out the way they planned. Most sane people understand that both lie to outrage voters to get more votes, most believe there is ground in the middle. Her comments seem Spot-On.

She already has made Millions (with an Est. Net Worth of $100 Million).

I don't think she really cares about the opinions of a bunch of RW "Pundits" questioning her objectivity.
