"Democrats seizing on a string of controversies surrounding Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) hope to make her the face of the GOP in the 2022 midterms."

"Democrats think the controversies surrounding Greene and a few other Republicans, from fellow first-term Rep. Lauren Boebert (Colo.) to Arizona firebrand Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.) and Paul Gosar (Ariz.), could make the GOP toxic with the suburban voters who increasingly have turned away from Republicans in the Trump era."

"House Democrats are looking to force a vote on Greene’s expulsion, which would force Republicans to take a position on her."

"Former President Trump, still the de facto leader of the GOP, has been adding fuel to the fire, calling Greene last week to encourage her and setting up a meeting with her later this week. Trump never condemned QAnon, part of his long-running refusal to condemn his extremist supporters."

"Republican leaders know they have a problem."

AOC and the "squad" may be an easy sell with the right base, but as we saw in this last election, not necessarily with moderates, swing voters, women and suburbanites who Trump cost the GOP in 2020. They certainly don't compare impacting those important voting blocks as the GOP supporting a Congresswomen who echoes OAnon conspiracies, thinks the Pentagon wasn't hit by a airplane on 9/11, and questions school shootings

Can bet there are going to be a lot of GOP Congressmen and Senators who are going to do their best to make sure they don't ever appear in any photos or videos with Representative Greene

I keep seeing this ladies name ON THIS board...

No idea who she is, what she stands for, don't particularly care, but I wanted to say that only here do I ever see that name... nowhere else.

    It's weird.

She's the right's AOC if AOC were 95% less insane. They want to claim she's the de facto leader of the RNC. Problem is, unlike with the DNC's obedience to the far-left AOC types, Greene is just tiny voice that no one in Congress listens to (other than leftists).

Would this be akin to Republicans making Maxine Waters the face of the Democrat party?

She is, a majority of Republicans still believe in the voter fraud and far too many still believe in the birth certificate and the Muslim conspiracies.

    Their tenets are conspiracies.

The Dems don't have to make her the face of the party. The Reps have done that for them. The mid terms will surely spawn a few more. And the once proud defender of the constitution, the voice of the "silent majority", the "law and order" party slowly disintegrates.

I’ll accept this person is the “new face of the GOP” when the GOP comes out and says exactly that. You know, like when the DNC came out and said AOC(and others) were the new face of the DNC.

Otherwise I’ll continue to view her as I currently do: some crazy nobody Democrats are saying is the face of the Republican Party.

Just keep thinking that, by midterms the damage done by the left will be immense.

So what good has the new Prez done for America? He's done alot for other countries, just not us. He even managed to piss off Canada and kill lots of jobs within days.

The fact they’re using her like this reinforces how scummy and evil they are. AOC is on magazines. She is fully applauded by the MSM. The heart of the Democrats could easily be using her youth while keeping her far enough away from any real damage.

But Greene? She’s a compete nobody. I just love how Democrats are projecting her onto EVERYONE.It’s pathetic.

Trump still has about an 85% approval among Republicans. Trump refuses to denounce Greene or her claims.

She IS the face of the republican party [along with trump's general, who wears horns]. She is the classic trump crackpot conspiracy nut.

She says dead children at a school massacre were all faked or actors. So what do the republicans do? They put her on the Committee on Education and Labor

All of it... 2 minor disagreements (in my book) in 2 weeks, and they fixed one of those pretty quickly.... Not too shabby...

The former POTUS didn't get through the first week without a major unpopular and unconstitutional ****up...

You just answered your question. Killing the pipeline itself was a victory of under represented Canadians and Americans.

    Totally.

12 Days into his term and he still hasn't ended all the wars, solved the global hunger crisis, or cured cancer.

Btw--THIS Thread Isn't about Biden, it's about Greene.

If you want to discuss Biden, feel free to start a separate thread (or post in one of the other 100 "Lookie Here! Biden Bad!" threads). :bored:

    This thread is about Greene.

And, to the actual OP topic, it seems like a great strategy to make a Tinfoil Hat like Greene the "Face of the GOP".

Wanted: Mod position vacancy, start immediately, very low wages....

As to the topic...so what? If they are not happy they can vote her out. Sound familiar?

Big difference, AOC doesn’t turn off moderates, swing voters, women and suburbanites, all who Trump costs the GOP in 2020, and Greene certainly isn’t going to get them back.

The GOP might not listen to her, but she is identified with the GOP, and until they disavow her, she will be there for the Democrats to use as a portrait of the direction the GOP is taking
