As long as the Republican Party is the party of lies, conspiracy, childish insults and cult worship they are not an option.

It's long past time to end the duopoly.

You are ignoring the context in which the exhortations were given

The corrupt bipartisan ruling political class has been in bed with China since Nixon's summit with Mao. Trump is the first President since Nixon to aggressively challenge China and the CCP. That is just fact.

The Bidens and The McConnells have at least two things in common. Hostility to Donald Trump and businesses partnered up with the CCP/PLA/PLAN.

This, one million times this — I can completely understand someone picking one of the two because they dislike the other “team” but people that cheer and parade for their “team” is incomprehensible.

Name calling and immature hand gestures are very Trump-like. You must admire him to emulate him as you do.

Why not? Trump WAS making these remarks directly outside the body that was engaged in stripping him of the Presidency and he did directly tell the mob that what they should be doing that day was to prevent this from happening. How can you say he was not inciting?

Fighting for what one believes in usually is a phrase of making a difference, doing something about it in a legal manner. He used the word 'peacefully''. Do you mean when MLK used the word 'peacefully' he meant go break into a place?

Trump is a twit and I am far from being a fan, but this is political games, and unwarranted IMO. Those that CHOSE to break into the Capitol are responsible for their actions, no one else.

    Oh hell no.

Do you participate in US elections? You are handed choices not actively made by 'you', and told to choose one of two. You can 'protest' futilely by doing a write in or an existing 3rd party vote but everything is geared to the two parties and who they decide will be the candidates.

Ever notice that it's about the money? It shouldn't be. Ever.

The Trumpocity talked a lot about China but zero results. Our balance of trade is just as bad if not worse. The tariff war did not solve anything and the Chi Coms just passed the cost of the tariffs to the American consumer which for all intents and purposes amounts to a tax but it is China collecting the tax. We have been treated to four years of empty bragging, lies, and exaggerations. He changed the name of NAFTA and tweaked it a little but no massive return of American jobs. He did a great job negotiating with Mexico on them paying for the wall. Sure right! we say sarcastically. I said this before and need to say it again that the Trumpocity claims that he is the Great Negotiator but in truth he is The Great Pretender. Yup just like the Righteous Brothers Song.....

I just just hear the tunes from Mar A Lago of the Trumpocity signing. "Yes I am GREAT PRETENDER.... ...................pretending I am still the POTUS..........everyone calling me Sir.....and telling me ......your are so great Sir. .......Yes I am still the Great Pretender............".

My Congressman represents about 10 million people and my Senator 50-100 million. Even if only 1% wanted to be pols nobody can actively choose anyone from such a large pool.

Everything is always about money. Didn't you ever read Stranger In A Strange Land?

So we allow the dollar to dictate who we get to lead this country.

I don't know about you, but I see something seriously wrong with that.

A long, long time ago, when reading was for learning new things. Now, reading is mostly for enjoyment and/or numbing the mind at the end of a long day.

There is still ample choice as to what we allow dollars to dictate

There are no new things, just different ways to see what is always there.

You specifically said that dollars dictate.

I say we need to move past that. End the duopoly. Do not let those that benefit from the rules, make the rules, and that covers more than just who is being elected.

Nope. One party has embraced it as a party platform though. The other tries to minimize them for public perception at least.

Then you would let Joseph Stalin go? Stalin and the NKVD claimed that "famine" killed most of their mass victims in the Ukraine and elsewhere, though it was them that robbed these people of the food they needed.

Criminals are adept and careful to be sure they cannot be blamed for their crimes. "It wasn't me, it was ******", is more than just the first cry of a guilty child.

OTOH I almost agree in one sense. Trump shouldn't be in Congress, as Impeachment can only keep him from running again. Trump should be in a courtroom, and looking at a long prison sentence or worse for the Capital Crime of Sedition.

So, is setting up autonomous zones or trying to burn down a Federal Courthouse worthy of the sedition charge?

There is apparently nothing you can do about the Kool-Aid imbibers. The sooner we can all get onboard and ignore them, the better.

A Federal Courthouse with people in it? Maybe. I'm a bitch on arson.

An autonomous zone is trickier. The USA was an autonomous zone of the the UK in practice for about a century before the ARW
