Either way those were Rush’s words.

She was certainly a decent person but her contributions are being vastly overstated(Of course, we have to use the word 'contributions' in proper context here, she was a judge.) In the same manner that Rush Limbaugh wasn't some big game changer in world history either.

But that's ironically what makes Limbaugh special to the conservatives: They know he wasn't a big apple, nor did he make himself out to be a big apple. But he was a big thorn in the "opposing side", a side that couldn't stand that he said what he said. In short, Rush's career proved the intolerance of so-called "tolerance".

For those who are conservatives, Rush did something that few people are willing to do today: Stand in the heat of the kitchen and take it up the chin. He's obviously still taking it up the chin in his death, which to me is sad and so I concur with @Matthewthf It's kind of sad.

He's DEAD. Save it, even if there were those who didn't save it for RGB. Be the better person. Not for their sake, but for your own personal happiness with yourself.

I first listened to Rush back in 1991. He was always a voice for freedom, capitalism and individualism. I did not always agree with him but he was nothing like the way libs here describe him.

He was nothing like Alex Jones, was not a constant conspiracy nut. While never politically correct he did not say racist things.

Libs who never listened to his show one time seem to be experts on him but it is the same with Foxnews.

Actually, no, it is not, but I do notice how upset it seems to make some people. Interestingly, it's usually the same group of people who gleefully attack liberal figures when they die. So, the hypocrisy of this would be funny were it not so pitifully sad.

Rush Limbaugh mocked Eric Garner's death, Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's disease, Ruth Bader Ginsburg's cancer diagnosis, Kurt Cobain, people who died of AIDS, feminists, Civil Rights activists, and Native Americans. That's his racist legacy.

    Please define attacking a person.

    Thank you.

If you mean that criticizing their behavior while alive is suddenly off limits, why is that?

Is there some kind of super-duper magic encoder ring rule that says you cannot say about a PUBLIC FIGURE's behavior on their death date???

Please direct me to that rule, mkay.

We owe him so much! I don't believe we would be America today without him and his voice!

    Hmmmmm.....

Rush Limbaugh’s Most Racist Quotes: A Timeline of Destructive Commentary - The Westside Gazette

facts say that your statement (bolded) is VERY false, many, many times over. Rush Limbaugh said many, many racist, hateful things. He was a racist pure and just because he has died does not mean that people are somehow not allowed to note this.

His ugly, racist, inappropriate, money-grabbing behavior created misery for a lot of people. THAT will be part of his legacy.

There's no rule, but it's just classy in general. Even if the person himself hadn't been classy. "If you've got nothing good to say, say nothing at all." And in a way, that's both showing respect for the dead while disrespecting the person you want to disrespect. That this thread is 7 pages long is proof of his 'legacy' In the sense that if there were no one to mourn or celebrate his death, then it would have been an insignificant death. One of millions.

Instead, he's either revered by some or despised by a lot. Not a 'bad' way to go in my opinion(I actually do fear dying a meaningless death.).

You can always erect a shrine to him or something. Messiah worship seems to be all the rage among Trumpkins these days.

Not a big fan, but may he rest in peace. He loved his cigars and conservatism and conservatives will find him hard to replace.

Plenty. He went off into the woods sometimes. But he was dead on far too often and predicted the actions of Democrats before they did it.

He has inspired a lot though. Won't be the same but his shoes will be filled! Watch out leftists! We've got Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, Candice Owen and many more! The left only has the squad.

Quote him and I’ll happily tell you if I agree or not. The only times I listened to him was if I was in the road when he was on the radio.

Statue tearing down was all the rage among leftists not long ago. I think Rush deserves a statue. Isn't there a Marx or Lenin statue somewhere on the left coast you could worship?

    OK:

    1. “Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”
