Your are conflating "investment" in CCP controlled enterprises - which is all of them, and the US trade deficit with China. The money earned on these investments is imported into US bank accounts. The purpose of this money is suspicious to put it gently.

Things are either moral or immoral. I will stand and die by that. Moral relativity is an illusion. Morality is like gravity.....either up or down. In Communist China, they do what is right in their own eyes. It is delusional.

i agree my parents went to EU twice for vacation, they basically said EU slowly going down the hill due to excessive unskilled immigrant. petty thief is common place. i'm not against immigration, but when alot unskilled worker immigrate to EU or US it take huge toll on countries resource. However, if high skill worker immigrate to EU/US, it contribute to the society.

its not genocide, why, cause my parents and family friend went to xinjian for vacation, at least twice for the past 5 years. and they see uyghur pretty much everywhere. however, there is crack down on what government perceived as separatism or overall just against CCP in the region, but this kind of crack down has nothing to do with ethnic. CCP will crack down any, whether they are ethnic minority or not, if they start challenge the central government, aka tiannmen square 1989 is good example where han majority start it.

You are free to believe what you like. The only thing delusional is thinking you are going to be able to control what China does, particularly with its radical Muslim community. We in the US still haven't figured out a way to deal with the GITMO detainees which is a drop in the bucket to the problems China has to deal with related to these people.

It's that investment which creates the trade deficits. We invest more in Chinese goods than they invest in ours.

Not interfering in China in regard to the Uighurs is probably the only logical thing Biden has said. For years Erdogan and his then PM Devotoglu were arousing the minority Turks in countries to get them to start questioning their borders. Merkel even refused to allow Erdogan to speak in Germany.

Many of the Chinese Uighurs are terrorists, so Biden is excusing China's handling of it at the same time that he's allowing terrorists to come in freely through our southern borders. His other bit is that while saying no interference in China, he's pressuring countries to accept our liberal idiocies.

What can we expect though, when Biden's advice is coming from his dead mother. Some say it's dementia, but I'm not too sure. He might be in necromancy like Hillary. The following is from Biden's Michigan speech:

“Just over four weeks ago, America had no real plan to vaccinate most of the country. My predecessor, as my mother would say, ‘failed to order enough vaccines,’ failed to mobilize the effort to administer the shots… That changed the moment we took office,” Biden said.

Hey Biden, what you said about the vaccine is a lie. So tell me, who is the one lying, is it you or your dead 'mother' (aka demon)?

Interesting stuff, huh? Dangerous also, because the occult and necromancy was common among the nobility in Europe before WWI, and especially in Russia before the revolution. These things do not bode well for us.

Can't control what China does but we don't need to validate it in any way. How 'bout we let GITMO detainees rot where they are. Execute the ones that need it.

Not my decision to make, but if it were, they would either be put before a tribunal or released.

Sure, what Biden 'ought to do' is cut back on illegal immigration and bring in millions
of rich or skilled migrants - from anywhere. Hong Kong would be a good starting point.
America has something Russia and China can not have, maybe ever - and that is a
nation that most want to go live in.

Biden is everything we expected him to be and much more.

Muslims in America are very successful and enjoy the same freedoms everybody else does.

Huh? His speeches and rallies were televised from start to finish so it was all there.

Why would you claim they never did it?

Xoe don’t care about Uighurs in China. They don’t vote. They don’t send money.

I guess that was true about Trump too since he ignored/dismissed the situation for 4 years.

    Biden’s sturdy resistance to China
    By George F. Will

Beijing wasted no time in greeting the new U.S. administration with an escalation of China’s high-risk obnoxiousness. On the fourth day of Joe Biden’s presidency, Chinese fighter and bomber aircraft simulated an attack on the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier group as it sailed into the South China Sea.

The pugnacious 26th president, for whom the carrier is named, would have applauded several of the 46th president’s initial decisions regarding China. Biden got Beijing’s attention by inviting Taiwan’s representative in Washington to attend the inauguration, the first such invitation since U.S.-China relations were normalized in 1979. And Roosevelt, a naval power enthusiast, would have loved Biden’s sending of the carrier group. Later this year, a British carrier will participate in exercises in the region with the U.S. Navy. Allies matter.

Biden, who has promised “extreme competition” with China, has an appropriate secretary of state. Antony Blinken’s first conversation, by telephone, with his Chinese counterpart, Yang Jiechi, was so sandpapery that Yang, according to the Chinese foreign ministry, blustered to Blinken, “No one can stop the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.” Nations prickly about their need for rejuvenation (“Deutschland, erwache!” — “Germany, awake!” — was a Nazi mantra) betray a truculent sense of inferiority. China today has much to feel inferior about. . . .

China does have different political and moral norms, and mass internment is a different norm. Biden didn't downplay this and condemned these norms:
"The Uighurs. We must speak up for human rights. It's who we are. We can't — my comment to him was — and I know him well, and he knows me well. We're — a two-hour conversation."

When right-wing snowflakes took Biden out of context, Biden apologized for using the word and made it very clear again that what they are doing is wrong.
    https://factcheck.thedispatch.com/p/did-biden-dismiss-uighur-genocide
    https://www.yahoo.com/now/biden-apologizes-calling-chinas-uighur-021502470.html

Maybe Biden should have chose his words so carefully in this hyper-sensitive climate of misinformation. But he never dismissed the genocide. That is inaccurate.

The point is that the media used context which they never did with Trump.
