Even YOU'RE not stupid enough to not acknowledge the difference between the life at the point of conception and the life outside of the womb still attached to the cord!
Doesn't change the fact that if cancer treatment was banned, it wouldn't mean that people would loose bodily autonomy.
I specified "with no independence" after @Ritter mentioned "independent" and I took it to mean "self-supporting." However, it has since been clarified in what sense the word was being used.
Life begins once you are born. Birth is a major event and there is a reason we celebrate birthdays and not first-trimestre-as-a-fetus-days or conceptiondays. You do not have rights until you are born.
Every civilised country on Earth. Especially in the United States since it was explicitly founded on the concept of Individual Rights.
Except fetuses DO have rights in the majority of the US. It would help if you knew what the hell you are talking about.
Yes, religion has still not been completely uprooted from our culture. Parts of it is still hidden in a lot of places and many people who claim to be secular actually carry with them a lot of Christianity, unknowingly. Wait? Did you just admit it is not yet a person? Finally. Bravo. Which makes it even more amazing that you have not provided anything to the discussion.
No. The standard is always the woman and if she is willingly pregnant and someone comes up and hits her in the belly, they are stopping her from developing the fetus she is carrying into a baby and violating her right to be a parent. The pregnant woman is always to be in the centre of attention on this topic. I thought we already talked about this, but that might have been with someone else in another thread.
Who cares if the cord has been cut or not? I thought it was obvious to anyone with a brain that it is just a figurative expression that refers to being out of the womb.
Ritter said: ↑ Independent is not the same as self-supporting. A child and a person in coma are perceptually independent in that they are not physically attached within another person, they are separate individuals. LOL, you sure like to squirm away to a new topic when you realize how wrong you were on what was being discussed....funny and predictable..
I am not even American and not Conservative, yet I know the Declaration of Independece and the philosophy of the Founding Fathers much better than a American Conservative who probably carries The Constitution with him everywhere and turns to Madison as soon as guns are brought up (but who lacks the mental faculity to consistently apply this philosophy to life as a whole). I am proud of myself for this.
