Thank you for bringing up the concept of road rules as an analogy.

Do roads have SIGNS and LIGHTS and GUARD RAILS and SAFETY MEASURES like painted lines?

    Yes or no?

What safety measures did your IMAGINARY god provide for Adam & Eve given that he KNEW that BOTH the Tree of Knowledge and the SERPENT were was DANGEROUS?

What EDUCATION did he provide them with to KNOW right from wrong BEFOREHAND?

What TRAINING did he provide so that they could determine a LIE from the TRUTH?

The answer is NONE at all!

In essence your imaginary SOCIOPATH pushed small children out to play in the traffic!

And then he BLAMED them for the ACCIDENT that he KNEW was going to happen as a result.

That is SICK and TWISTED and anyone who has ever raised a child of their own would NEVER leave them alone to play in a garden filled with venomous snakes.

But that is EXACTLY what YOUR evil minded god did to Adam and Eve!

You seem to have an issue with authority and accountability. Still, God has provided for your resurrection with his sacrifice. Your eternal situation after the fact is up to you because it has to do with how you chose to live your life.

Why do you believe in the resurrection myth? How many people do you know who have been resurrected?

None of it makes sense. As I said in another thread, lets say you are a good honest and charitable human being. Why would our Creator, who is suppose to be a "just" creator, punish a good man like yourself for eternity? This fear in of itself is the source that powers the belief. When fear powers a belief, "rational reasoning" is toast

Also, even from a religious point of view, Jesus, who's real name was Yeshua, is a case of mistaken identity. First of all, Jews believed that their messiah, who simply was some guy would rebuild their temple and return jews to their homeland, could not die. Once Yeshua was killed, he was no longer a messianic candidate. This is why Chrisitians claim "Oh, but he resurrected" and he will come back to rebuild the temple and "fullfill his duties that he did not fullfill the 1st time"

Really? Who saw his resurrection ? They claim 500 saw the resurrection. Wrong. 1 man claimed 500 saw it. His name was Paul. And if he did resurrect, then WTF is Jesus waiting for? I mean hey Jesus, how about doing your duties like a good little messiah?

TBH, christianity itself, started from a dream buy a jew named Paul - who actually lived long after Yeshua. Paul was the one who began to spread the belief based on his dream. Yup, chrisitianity is based on a dream of a guy who lived decades after Yeshua. But so is Islam and Mormanism - all these religions started from guys who had a dream

Crazy stuff people believe - all out of fear

You made some good points but a careful reading of the fairy tale shows that the Paul character was a contemporary of the Jesus character. He just never actually met him except in a vision, probably from sun stroke. Paul was the first one to write about the Jesus character. He showed why Jesus should be worshiped and that was because of the resurrection. Paul built his religion of resurrection on the back of Jesus. As he says, if the dead do not rise then peoples' faith is for nothing. I haven't seen any zombies in my lifetime.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

So you CANNOT deal with the FACT that your imaginary god used ENTRAPMENT as the basis for CONDEMNING all of mankind as "sinners"!

But you still expect others to accept the SNAKE OIL promise of "resurrection"?

Can I have the benefit of the services of your entire LIFETIME and I promise to REPAY you in the "afterlife"?

You would NOT buy that bovine excrement from me so WHY do you buy it from something that does NOT exist?

Why is MY promise to repay you not credible but the PABLUM about an imaginary skybully is credible?

You asked about choosing how to live your life a and I have just made YOUR choice clear to anyone who does NOT buy into superstitious myths.

YOU are CHOOSING to spend YOUR entire life DEPENDING upon a Stone Age SUPERSTITION that there is an imaginary deity who will give you something AFTER you are dead and buried.

My own choice is YOLO! I get to LIVE every minute of MY life WITHOUT wasting any of it worshiping something that does NOT exist.

Not hard to figure out who gets the MOST out of our one and only lifetime.

How about you start with the 500?

Most christian scholars agree that the 500 saw Jesus/Yeshua after the Pentecost, therefor they did not see the risen body of Christ but a vision. So who actually saw the risen body of Christ?

Clearly I don't know anyone who has been resurrected. But it makes sense that though we live and then die, yet within us goes earnestness and all that we are, like the seeds of life into the earth, buried to be born anew, or as spring follows winter, there is a time and place for resurrection. It is sensible, meaningful and a wondrous thing to conceive while yet we live. And so belief is a confidence in the promise or a sublime pillow that life is eternal. Nature herself is testimony to the fact. Even reason embraces the concept.

I agree with you injeun. Energy as we know from physics continues. It constantly evolves into new forms and frequencies. Think of yourself as an ever changing musical tone. I think your tone would be smooth jazz from a saxaphone or a real subtle drum beat like a pulse forever moving on wind to new ears. Don't get me going.

In some visions I have seen glimpses of different energy levels but in this dimension I could not clearly make them out. Kind of like a radio frequency with static. I have felt energy from animals that was calming and negative energy from some very dark people in my work. I avoid words like God or pure or evil. I like to use words like negative, positive, constantly mutating or moving. I get uncomfortable when people start talking about life energy as a material dimensional measurement.

Call me crazy but I learn more looking in the eyes of a muscrat, horse, dog, mink, a fisher cat, a badger, a coyote, a crow, then I ever did in a human claiming to talk for God. What do I know. I think the strongest messages can be the movement of wind and water and sunlight. They can all cleanse the soul if you want them too. You sound like you walk that walk and see it in the movement of dandelion puffs. Lol I want to feed my carcass to bears when I die. Someone told me I will be too unkosher and smelly so I will make myself into cat litter. I will try do something useful for a change. Salute.

When our house was built, we did a walk-thru with the Superintendent. Along the course, he instructed me that every three months I should replace the filters and pour a cup of bleach down the condensation line of the central HVAC unit. He explained to me why and what would happen if I didn't follow his instructions. He told me once. That was nine years ago. I haven't seen hide nor hair of him since then. But still, every three months I do as he instructed me. Adam and Eve knew God personally. He counseled them face to face as friend, Father and God. If that is not enough for them, then why do you demand evidence to believe and do, while at the same time say it wasn't enough for Adam and Eve? It is enough...in concept.

That we are born into mortality rather than the cause of it, makes it not our responsibility. That's why Jesus's resurrection is a forerunner to ours as a gift of immortality. But our choices in life are our personal responsibility. Hence the law of repentance, baptism and faith, which determine the quality or nature of our immortality. These concepts are not alien to us. In fact we practice them in part all thruout our lives in a normal everyday fashion. When we hold a door for someone or let someone into traffic, we are extending kindness and storing treasures in heaven. Likewise if we find something of value and return it to its owner rather than keep it for ourselves. When we realize we've hurt someones feelings, been unfair or in some way trespassed against another, we apologize and ask forgiveness. Such is repentance. When we make peace with an enemy, or overlook anothers blind spot or offensiveness of which they are unaware, we have essentially covered them in charity and clothed their nakedness. In all this we have loved God and our fellow man as ourselves, and have been practitioners of the gospel of Jesus Christ to one degree or another. The point being that Christianity is not a sub human alien rite from the gray past, but rather the basics of humanity and the exercise of our higher natures. So why do you do all of these things, make all of these sacrifices, live all of these gospel principles, doing good for goodness sakes, and then mock the very religion in which you actually believe, love, sacrifice for and embrace? It is your whole hearts worth and you know it.

So you were COMPELLED to INVENT a narrative that does NOT exist in your own bible?

Does that mean that you SPEAK for your imaginary god too?

    :roflol:
There are BILLIONS of people who do NOT believe in YOUR superstitions and yet they treat others with kindness and respect on a daily basis. They INCLUDE Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, Janists, Buddhists, etc, etc.

Atheists have NO EXPECTATION of any "treasures" after they die for just treating others as they want to be treated themselves.

So this entire concept of being REWARDED in a snake oil "afterlife" is nothing more than your religion EXPLOITING the fundamental human kindness that exists in everyone for the NEFARIOUS purpose of CONTROLLING people.

And yes, I can PROVE that this is the case because WITHOUT your Stone Age superstition people would STILL be kind to one another and NOT go around murdering and stealing and raping others because BILLIONS of people do it every day.

Your religion did NOT invent the concept of being kind to others as EVIDENCED by the fable of the Good Samaritan who was NOT one of Chosen People. Equally so it did NOT invent the concept of APOLOGIZING to those you have wronged since that can be found among the writings of the Ancient Greek Philosophers.

So your feeble attempt to PRETEND that this is some kind of "special knowledge" collapses when it comes up against REALITY.

Ok... I'll bite one more time...It's int eh Bible...at the end of chapters of each Gospel and end of Acts......More than a dozen witnesses and He ate food with them just to show them so.

If you are going to debate or discuss a subject, at least have the curtesy to have read the material... weren't you taught that in school?

I have read it, now you tell me who other than Paul, who claims he saw a vision of the risen Jesus, actually gives their name and claims to have seen the risen body of Jesus? Not claims someone else saw Jesus but they saw him. The gospels are anonymous so I would not bother trying to use them.

At least it is based upon REALITY and not Stone Age superstitions like yours.

And duly noted FTR that you could NOT defend any of your positions.

"Cat litter"?! LOL. From other dimensional energies to cat litter pretty much covers the gamut. Nothing like touching base, I guess. ;-) Interesting concepts you bring up. Is there native American in your family tree? Not to probe, just that your affinity for nature and sounds is very human to me in a pleasing way.

10, 12, 120 or 500. It depends which Gospel you are reading

The New Testament is composed of many books which were written long after yeshua lived. The books are full of contradictions. Each Gospel Cant seem to get their story straight

Here is something that I came across long ago because there was in fact a time (20 years ago or so) where although Christianity from a pragmatic point of made absolutely no sense whatsoever, I was atleast willing to listen to the christian viewpoint on Messianic belief

Christianity states that all those laws in the original scripture (aka the 5 books of moses) are now null and void. Jews no longer have to keep dietary laws of kosher (that are written in leviticus, deuteronomy etc. Instead jews are now obligated to accept Jesus in place of those biblical laws. In addition, Jews must accept Jesus in order to be forgiven for their sins. The claim is that "This is the new law" and that jesus is the path to forgiveness for jews and non jews

Lets take a look in Leviticus where Homosexuality is forbidden ( I suppose this law still in play so be careful .) In addition to Homosexuality, we see the following that God asked from jews with resepect to sins and forgivenes

“For on this day atonement shall be made for you to cleanse you of all your sins.” (Leviticus 16:30.) Leviticus 16:1–34:

    It also states:

Leviticus - Chapter 16 ... 29And [all this] shall be as an eternal statute for you; in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you shall afflict ...

Tell me, What does "eternal" mean?

I have studied theology in great depth (not that it requires great depth, its actually pretty simple) and that includes Islamic belief as well . I dont profess to know absolute truth with respect to our creator. However, I will say that I have concluded christianity is a belief system that has simply erroneously misinterpreted (through lingustic translations and scriptural misunderstandings) a fundamental belief (messianism) belonging to another religion (judaism).

As a result, we have a new religion in the form of : resurrections, virgin births and a God who not only has (or had) a son but he also sacrificed his only son and if you do not believe this, then God will burn your soul eternally (whoops, there is that word again)

Paul had visions and visitations while awake. Joseph Smith similarly had visitations, first as a young teen, and then as a young man. There are also dozens of prophecies of a Messiah in the old testament.

Proselytizing snake oil is something that YOUR religious dogma promotes and given the numbers of your snake oil salesman who have become MILLIONAIRES from doing it you and your religion are NOT in any position to point fingers when it comes to a reputation for honesty and integrity without it coming across as the epitome of hypocrisy.

    Sad!
