    LOL.

Your party leader is an incumbent LOSER. Lost popular vote 2X. Got impeached 2X. Incited people to overthrow an election.
And you're bragging this is your leader.

    LOL.

    @Mike12

I always enjoy your posts, Mike, and I'm with you in spirit. But I just wrote this to ButterBalls on another thread ...

ButterBalls, I have no confidence in the governance of Biden and the Democrats. I think they will be vulnerable to losing in 2024 if the Republicans nominate someone other than Trump but who espouses his policy positions. The problem with renominating Trump is the Independents. I think a lot of them liked his policies, but they didn't like him and his style of doing business, and they will not go back to that. I don't think they'll vote for him, and he can't win without them. That's just the math, and math isn't partisan.

IMHO, Republicans must nominate someone with grace and class who espouses Trump's policy positions if they want to win in 2024, but it can't be Trump himself. I think his policy positions are winners, though.

It's a tall order because the Independents will probably not vote for an arch conservative like Ted Cruz or an uninspiring milquetoast Republican like Mitt Romney or John Kasich or even Marco Rubio. I could be wrong, depending on how badly the Democrats eff things up in the next three years. But if we manage as a nation to just putter along without too much disruption, the R's are going to need a fresh face to win over the Independents and win the election in 2024.

Nikki Haley comes to mind. Smart, intelligent, articulate, experienced. Or even Pence with Haley ... who knows? But it can't be Trump.

I know he commands a loyal following. He did a lot of good things for the country, things I agree with wholeheartedly. But the cold political calculation is that he cannot win in 2024, and the R's have got to move on from Trump. If they don't, they're going to learn the hard way.

Yeah, you never seemed race oriented like other Trump idolizers. You just believe everything he says without a second thought, apparently because it makes you feel good. I find it very strange, but it's a free country.

Reagan was the first to draw fanboys. Then Obama. Now Trump. It's out of hand with Trump. He lost. He's done. Over. If he keeps it up, the Republicans won't even keep 40 seats in the Senate. Who cares about the filibuster?

Trump is taking the party over a cliff. Follow at your peril.

74 million would disagree with you. Who are you exactly to arrogantly claim that what you believe in right and everyone else, no matter if it’s 74 million are just wrong and you are right.

this pretty much discredits you as one of those people who don’t really know anything but thinks they know everything. Also makes you arrogant in how you think anyone who doesn’t believe in your hogwash is just a trump worshipper who is an idiot. You don’t even want to look at the other side and begin to understand that millions simply don’t agree with you or the leftists...

You are the typical person who is so arrogant and claim moral superiority, to anyone who disagrees with you. It’s people like you who make trump even more appealing, in a way, you and others like you gave trump the presidency.

Yeah, you have to wonder why Haley wasn't invited to the CPAC. I think you know the answer.

Very few Trump supporters are actual Nazis. Mostly they are just folks who got lied to and taken in.

Taken in by a great presidency that even a 5th grader can identify as being superior.

Now we are stuck with a DOG and a SLUT. Globalists are not picky about their puppets. Obama was living proof that even a turd can fill an empty suit.

I'm not sure what triggered this defensiveness. I'm better than no one. And no one is better than me. That's not what this is about. It's about belief in a man that rivals religion. I don't care how many people voted for Trump. It's not about all of them. It is about the two-thirds of those who believe the Big Lie. You do the math. Two billion people believe a man-god died on the cross. That mass religious belief exists isn't debatable. That there has been erected a golden calf in Trump's image just seals the deal for me. If you think that's arrogant, I don't know what to tell you.

Saw this great quote which fits perfectly with these people.
“It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.”

Same ol' righteous indignation. Reminds me of the mullahs. Everything about Trumpism follows an orthodox template.

I disagree and agree. First, i don't think Trump should be nominated in 2024 because of age and age alone. I think being president is just extremely physically and mentally challenging. I do not trust someone that old in the office. It is a travesty that Biden is president, he often forgets things, cannot finish sentences and most likely not challenging radical ideas from his party due to lack of sharpness and energy. How can we have a weak man, mentally and physically as the leader of the Country? This is outrageous...

Aside from age, Trump would win independents again in 2024. It is true that some were turned off by his rhetoric, tweeting but give it a few years... It's early in Biden's administration and he is already doing everything in his power to make things worse. Biden is making us less secure, killing jobs, filling his cabinet with radicals and spends his time apologizing for america's evils instead of enumerating America's great historical achievements. He projects weakness, seems disoriented half of the time and seems to be advocating for some of the same that made Trump popular to begin with. The demonization of cops, military, assault on law enforcement, the obsession with white supremacy, cancel culture, the attacks on 2nd amendment, the attempt to suppress conservative speech, policies which discriminate against women in the name of 'social justice', identity politics run amok, amnesty for 10mm illegals?. It even appears as if Biden will seek to appease Iran and China and allow Countries to take advantage of us. It also appears as if Biden administration will be getting us into conflict and there is talk of re-sending troops back to ME. This administration will be a disaster policy wise and by 2024, independents would absolutely vote Trump instead of supporting all these emotionally, self serving, establishment, racially charged 'America Last' policies which gave us Trump to begin with.

I don't think Nicki Haley will do well. It has become apparent (and Trump alluded to this in today's speech) that the nominee will have to be a lot more of a street fighter. Trump is right when he claims that the left are vicious - Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, squad etc... are vicious, they seek to destroy conservatives, cancel them, they use identity politics every day and don't care if they divide the country in the process. They vowed to impeach Trump before he took office and stayed true to their word, making a mockery of impeachment powers. The Russia Collusion was a lie and waste of time. The left is vicious and aggressive and the likes of Nicki Haley, Romney cannot take them on.. you can't box a street fighter. My bet is on Desantis.... as it stands. He is more of the street fighter type who will brawl with the left but will refrain from going too far with rhetoric. Haley, i think she will not get it... has to be someone more Trump like honestly. The voters are rejecting too much political correctness and republicans who play too nice. Romney doesn't even understand that his 'nice' behavior actually disenfranchises his party as he is not fighting hard enough... he lets the left win.

Mike, I agree with your complaints about Biden and Democrats like Shumer, Pelosi, AOC, etc. I just don't think that many Independents will come back to Trump.

Yes, DeSantis does seem like a good candidate!

it wasn't defense, it was offense... and put you on the defense.

so i'm right.... you think you just know better.... you don't. Those who think they know better usually know nothing.

statements like the one you make below discredits you instantly..... you cannot argue the substance so just seek to discredit all those who support trump (74 million plus) as just idiots...... this make you the biggest one.

remember Seth, COVID... you forgot about Covid? kind of a big thing which hit the Country just prior to presidential election. Turns out, trump handled Covid better than the democrats... look at Cuomo and Newsom... disasters. Trump can at least claim he tried to ban travel (when Biden and democrats thought it was racist) and Trump can claim he gave states what they wanted (states were terrible with resource mgmt) and Trump can claim operation warp speed did a lot of good... a big reason why millions have been vaccinated already. The democrats cannot point to ANYTHING... Biden hasn't changed a thing.

but it hit at the wrong time and if anything it was Trumps seemingly lack of empathy which i think turned independents away., plus all the misinformation campaign by the MSM blaming Trump for everything, even disastrous actions by states. Covid also hit Trump's biggest asset - economy.

You forgot about covid Seth, i think this was the difference. Without it, it think Trump would've won fairly easily. He will be too old in 2024 but age aside, independents will realize that his polices were just 10 times better than Biden's and that he actually handled covid better than democrats would've ever handled it.

The Donald brought out anti-Trump voters like no Democrat candidate could - 80 million strong.
I hope Republicans have more respect for themselves than to re-nominate the Donald.

Nah, I haven't forgot about Covid, and I agree with you almost completely on everything. But I just don't think those Independents will vote for him - not enough of them. Yes, Trump will be getting old. I think your DeSantis idea is a good one. I still also like Nikki Haley.

Trump got less votes, that's the way it works, only one trying to steal the election was Trump and he failed
