It truly is amazing how the Black population has been flat out USED by the Dems over and over and over again.

There is really no discernible difference between an antebellum Slave Owner and a current Progressive Elite. (Subjugation and Subordination)

"They're doing this in the name of pursuing justice for blacks, but I don't think they care at all about blacks — they're just weaponizing the race issue for political purposes. And that's what we saw active in this last campaign." Bob Woodson

"The American public are desperate for non-racial solutions, but they're not being offered very much."

Well I agree they are being used but the voting statistics show they aren't very insulted by it

I watched a PBS special about Black Churches a few days ago.

Not a word about the lynchings that were shown regarding the historical fact that many Blacks were lynched because they voted Republican.

I'm not sure what you are trying to imply here, so forgive me if my assumption is incorrect. If you are implying that some of them are SCARED to vote republican for fear of being ostracized, I believe that 100%

There is no win. Someone is going to be butt hurt no matter what you do.

    Morgan Freeman got it right.

If that was the approach, and the one I have had for decades, we would be done with this garbage.

They were not lynched for voting Republican they were lynched for voting, allegedly looking at 2Whitevwoman, and for attempting to have the right as Whites do.

You can't legislate what people think. Racism is a personal thing. It is declining little by little. Government can't fix it. I think all we can do is wait for racists fix themselves. It may take a while. Look how far we have come since the 1960's. It will continue to decline.

Maybe that’s because the people ranting about “woke” culture are all right wing reactionaries.

If the right would stop insulting blacks by claiming they’re too stupid to know who to vote for, they might start getting some of their votes. I’m skeptical they are capable.

The problem is we are perpetuating, if not exasperating racism by the left literally creating class warfare. We've made amazing strides over the last 6 decades only to see us go the wrong direction since Obama took office. SERIOUSLY, Obama... the first black president of the United States and one of his first acts was to create a social and cultural rift.

You don't solve racism by instituting more racism

I disagree. I think what you view as increased racism is probably the minorities taking more advantage of their voice in society. I think there is probably more racism among blacks than white and that tends to add to your opinion, I think. Before, all the racism was among whites.

Racism is a minor issue for everyone.

Most of what little exists, is largely directed at white people not coming from them.

Wokeness, is genuinely ignorant and driven by hate and emotion, not facts.

Racism and division has gotten worse since this woke era started, not better. They are both ineffective and evil.

Instead of doing what MLK would have done, unite people. Obama sought to divide people by color. He wasn't as open with his "wokeness", but it started under him. And he is one of the most influential presidents we have ever had, because he was the first black president. So what he started, as horrible as its been, has stuck around.

So people who are not of a culture, should be offering suggestions on how to fix a culture?

Since the phrase 'you can't know what it's like being X if you aren't X' is used quite often, one would think that the best recommendations for fixing the issues for a particular culture would come from within.

Let them tell those who are 'other' what they need to help fix the problem, and then ideas can be thought thru for the most effective application. You can't force someone to change to fix a problem, they have to want to. That's applicable to a large majority of life.

It’s still hilarious to me that righties actually think this is true. What was obamas big racist moment? Saying it’s dumb to arrest someone for breaking into their own home?

I do believe the cultural issues that we face, particularly in the black community are going to have to be fixed from within. Mostly because a white persons voice wont have the same effect on the black community as one of their own will. Just is what it is.

However, ANYONE can offer advice and guidance based on empirical data on how to fix culture from any group.

They vote overwhelmingly accord to the whims of their neomasters. Although, this election more of them rode the GOP-underground railroad to vote for Trump and GOP.
In what way? Those on the right seem to be more factual, e.g. they break down the data, rather than swallow and regurgitate the cliches and slogans. They point out, for instance, that black on black murders outnumber by orders of magnitude, cops killing blacks.

Don't forget the constant implication that they are lazy - bought off by Democrat welfare. Or the constant parading around of the handful of black people who do agree with them as 'proof' that the other 90% are stupid/lazy. Oh, and then there is the lack of black people elected to represent Republicans at all levels....and all the other stuff besides.

There are definitely some areas I think the left is correct on, and the roles of who reads the data and what not are reversed.

But when it comes to racial issues, this is 100 percent an area where the left is operating on emotion rather than data.

Even some members of this forum have admitted they simply believe black peoples claims because so many of the make it. Thats it, no amount of data could change a mind that is determined to "just believe".

Thats an incredible misrepresentation though, and its one that unfortunately people fall for, of all colors. Though I am confident thats slowly but surely changing.

We parade around the fact that not all blacks disagree with us, as proof there is nothing inherently racist about our beliefs. In a culture where the left calls everything racist, this is a necessity.

We dont elect people on skin color, we do on merit. It matters not how much or little black leaders we have in our party. We have ideas we support, not colors.

We dont imply they are lazy because of skin color or any nonsense like that. We simply recognize from an objective standpoint there are alot of people on welfare in the black community who aren't "stuck" for any reason other than they dont want to lose their welfare. Its a toxic culture of welfare dependence and while it exists in every demographic...from an objective standpoint it exists more in the black community. The left purposefully conflates that with "you think they are all lazy".

The gross oversimplification of the issues and republican stances on them benefits the left, and its why they do it.

You make an excellent point. Until the black community heeds the Black unifiers instead of the Black Lives Matter firebrands, things won’t get better. The community has to take a leap of faith and publically support law enforcement rather than teaching little boys that the cops hate them and want to kill them. The community has to teach and emphasize the traits that lead to success - education, personal responsibiliy, reliability, etc. And notice that I said this requires a leap of faith; which takes real community effort.
