In the very first chapter, you'll see that Jesus has two natures: a divine nature and a human nature ("the Word became flesh"). His divine nature created the universe and is holding all things together right now-including me, you, and everyone we love.

 

Working in the field of microbiology - I am aware of the difference. Small mutations over time add up - eventually to a new species .. in a process we call "Evolution" Micro being small changes .. Macro being those small changes added up.

It takes no faith to believe in something that has been substantiated by 160 years of empirical experimentation and consistently explains the phenomena that we observe in the world without having to call upon faith to defend its validity. So no, it does not take more faith to believe in evolution,but it does take critical thinking.

 

Never met Jesus myself -and nor did any of the folks that wrote the Gospels .. The question of the nature of Christs divinity was heavily debated "within the Church" - many different perspectives - for 300 years after the death of Jesus.

Then Lord Constantine - Pontifex Maximus - emissary between Man and God - usurping the position of Jesus - like the Popes used to do - and like you do - declared that Jesus was "Homoousios" - sharing the same substance as the Father. - and that was that. Eusebius refused to sign and was banished .. but he relented and signed .. wanting to keep in the good graces of the Emperor and all.

This unholy Emperor - Blaspheming the name of Jesus - ushered in the 1000 years of horror .. but even after Constantine the Church still fought over the nature of Christs divinity for another 3-400 years - Rome was controlled by Arian Christians from the 5th to the 8th century. Then came Charlamange .. and to the winner goes the spoils .. and who gets to determine doctrine.

Glad you have it all sorted out - having that free pass through judgement and all - for those who Idolize Martin Luther .. and worship his teachings.

Well, it's not the only way obviously. Half of Europe has same sex marriage, and every other Western nation does too. And they did it without having to "get out of the business."

Family trees didn't exist back then so there wasn't overlap in their family tree. There also was no one else for them to marry early on, and the reason it became forbidden later on wasn't just because of genetics but moral and relational reasons.

The Bible never states that Jesus is " The Father" .. so if you don't worship "The Father" - who do you worship ?

The Bible mentions the Trinity in Colossians 2:9 and John 10:30. John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
