No, I just like the rule of law and, unlike Trump and his followers, I don't think anyone is above the law. Your disagreement is noted.
Oh, I know it can, at least initially. Trump has explicitly used the courts to try to wage war on the 1st Amendment. You were, of course, perfectly fine with Trump trying to use frivolous lawsuits to attack the Constitution. But now that he may actually be subject to the law, now we need to panic, right?
Faaaaaaake. Try again. This time read first. I'm criticizing Trump's ATTACKS on the 1st Amendment. Not sure I've ever seen any modern politician show so much abject hatred for ACTUAL free speech.
The stoopid ones for sure. I've been out of the US for a long time. And the fellow-Yanks that I meet here in Europe are just as disappointed as I am about what is happening "back home". (And we all vote in the presidential election!) If you come to Europe and you stay here for any lengthy period of time, you get to understand the wonderful benefit that you DID NOT HAVE IN THE US. That is, very low cost university for your kids and a damn fine but inexpensive Healthcare System. Plus jobs - if you can work - that are interesting especially if multinational in nature. There is just no better personal-comfort on those two key items (income and education) so near and dear to both our needs and our hearts ... !
Yep, thanks for proving my point. You think free speech is an attack on the 1st Amendment. Oh yes we have, from democrat politicians and the lefts cancel culture.
People who refuse to read might manage to delude themselves into believing that lie. You were confronted with RW cancel culture. You ran away. Repeatedly. Nor will you ever, ever, ever manage to address the facts provided. All feels, no facts.
I'm an ex-pat too. I live in Ireland now. Health care is shyt in the UK, it's one of the natives biggest complaints. Macron has condemned US wokism infecting EU academia. What drew me here was low taxes, and low crime.
So, it's okay to beat cops with flagpoles as long as the flag doesn't touch the ground? Funny stuff bro. What's next?
"Waged war on the 1st" to the extent he was sued and ordered to pay the plaintiffs legal fees? Like governor Newsom who just cost Ca taxpayers $1.35 million as part of a settlment? Biden doesn't have much regard for the constitution either. Joe just got ordered by a federal judge to stop racially discriminating agaist white covid relief applicants.
He's done way more than that. But don't let a silly thing like facts get in the way. Your God Emperor literally argued to the courts that it should be illegal to call his building plans ugly. Keep defending the biggest opponent of the 1A in modern history to sit in the Oval Office. At least it has entertainment value.
You guys have got to learn to shelve your hatred of Trump. You've got sleepy, creepy Joe Biden to defend now. A bunch of Biden's EO's are already working there way through federal courts, and your uniter in chief has just been cited for racial discrimination. Trump "did"? Biden's your POTUS, and what the hell is he "doing"? Current Events.
Staying on topic is a "bubble"? Weird admission of a complete unwillingness to be intellectually honest, but I guess I'll take it.
Be intellectually honest and explain why Trump being sued is an "event". Maybe look at reply #103. This "event" isn't newsworthy.
Leticia James campaigned on "getting Trump" and started digging immediately for cause to sue Trump. SDNY is virtue signalling.
Trump campaigned on "getting Clinton" and failed. Leticia James has waited a couple of years before resorting to criminal investigation. And even on the civil side she's investigating things that no one seriously thinks he's innocent of. Hell, The Art of the Deal is virtually a confession letter for fraud.
The civil side she's investigated for yrs. and came up empty? Intellecual honesty remember. You insinuated that some pending lawsuits that allege civil liability now have criminal liabilities attached to them. So Letitia isn't the only one who's virtue signalling is she ...
Came up empty? Where did you come up with that idea? Because the investigation is now criminal. Catch up. So now the notion that no one is above the law is "virtue signalling"? Fascinating.
