So they were not allowed into a public meeting? That sounds like the bigger story here.

Hey Phyxius! Where do you get off posting something like this??? Everybody knows only black and brown people are disrespectful and non-compliant toward police officers. What were you thinking, man? /sarc.

I'm curious as to why you bolded and underlined that section of your quoted parts of the article. You didn't get that from the article. I checked. So there must be a reason for you to post what you have other than the Patriot Party member being arrested. What is it?

If he were there to tear down a confederate statue, the police wouldn't have done anything. I guess we live in a world where the first amendment only applies to some groups these days.

I have yet to find evidence that CRT is being taught to children. What I have found says just the opposite, and a moment's thought corroborates those statements.

    What is critical race theory?

Academic experts, including Crenshaw, say critical race theory is not what is being taught in K-12 education curriculums.

Critical race theory is a study in academia based on the concepts of systemic and institutional racism. Systemic racism refers to how the government has discriminated against Black, Indigenous and other people of color through unjust policies concerning housing, employment, criminal justice, education and more.

Critical race theory in the classroom: Understanding the debate - ABC News (go.com)

    Here's the reality:

Some educators across the U.S. expanded their curriculums on racial inequality in response to the turbulent year of protests against police brutality and disproportionate police violence against Black people. Some curriculums now include more racialized historical events, such as the Tulsa race riot and the Rodney King case and the subsequent Los Angeles riots, that highlight the plight of Black and brown Americans in the United States.

That's not Critical Race Theory. CRT is a high-level college study. It's not something an average high-school student could understand much less a 10 year old.

Some people don't want black history that paints whites negatively mentioned at all, which is what the schools are doing. CRT is a study of law and its relation to race. It's not a grade school subject.

The fool who was arrested believes a lie. Another RW lie. Imagine that.

These meetings are public and are there so people can voice their opinions of the direction public school system. There are MANY people adamantly apposed to critical race curriculum which EVERYONE should be. It literally is teaching to look at the color of ones skin and judge a person because of that color.

Blocking public debate from opposition is on the verge of tyrannical and if you can't see that, then here is your Sturmabteilung brown shirt!

This had nothing to do with the police. They were speaking out against something that's incredibly racist. I guess we know where you stand.

But, it would have been justifiable for him to be shot if he was black or brown. At least you're consistent. Kudos.

Good job! your liberal lords and masters would be so proud. Rule #1, always insert RACE into any topic as much as possible (even if it has nothing to do with race)

Your ability to insert race into EVERYTHING proves a lot more. I bet you think vanilla ice cream is Caucasian and chocolate ice cream is African

What does that have to do with this guy's arrest?

Lost the argument already? Injecting race is a last ditch effort, use only as last resort. You should reread the libs playbook.

If this were PRIVATE property, once the lady in charge told him to leave and he refused, he could be arrested for trespassing. However, if this is PUBLIC property, then he cannot be trespassed unless be broke a law while on the property, or he entered a posted restricted area AND refused to leave when asked.

They may try to charge him with "disorderly conduct" Under Arizona law 13-2904, however soap-box protest of government at a public place, such as he was engaged in, has strong first amendment protections, and the case will likely be thrown out. Being able to protest your grievances and seek redress from your government is what the first amendment is all about, after all.

Here is the relevant piece of Arizona 13-2904:
"A. A person commits disorderly conduct if, with intent to disturb the peace or quiet of a neighborhood, family or person, or with knowledge of doing so, such person: 1. Engages in fighting, violent or seriously disruptive behavior; or 2. Makes unreasonable noise; or 3. Uses abusive or offensive language or gestures to any person present in a manner likely to provoke immediate physical retaliation by such person; or 4. Makes any protracted commotion, utterance or display with the intent to prevent the transaction of the business of a lawful meeting, gathering or procession; or 5. Refuses to obey a lawful order to disperse issued to maintain public safety in dangerous proximity to a fire, a hazard or any other emergency; or 6. Recklessly handles, displays or discharges a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
    B. Disorderly conduct under subsection A, paragraph 6 is a class 6 felony. Disorderly conduct under subsection A, paragraph 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 is a class 1 misdemeanor."

What this appears to be, is a case of "punishment by procedure". They know they have no standing to arrest him, but they do so anyway in order to tie him up in bullshit for the rest of the day, and to send a clear message to the rest of the crowd that this is not a "free speech zone" and that any similar exercise thereof will be dealt with harshly. Most people subjected to this abuse of power won't pursue it further. But I imagine that he will, resulting in a lawsuit against the police agency, and a monetary settlement for the plaintiff, and of course, no admission of wrongdoing by the agency or disciplinary action against these officers.

Regardless of where you stand politically on this person's views, it reflects badly upon you if you condone the officers actions in this case. We should all be concerned when peaceful protest of our government becomes an arrestable offense.

If he doesn't have a kid attending classes in the district he has no enforceable standing, and they can use his idiocy to ban him from the premises.

Untrue. As an Arizona taxpayer, he has standing. No one can be legally banned from any public property until and unless they have committed a crime on that property, and have refused to leave when asked.

"Idiocy", is that a felony or a misdemeanor?
