    Best scientists and engineers?

I don't see any of their cars or trucks in dealerships?

Did they land on the moon?

Truly, you know nothing of Russia and Russian achievements. And yet, you have an audacity to denounce it daily.

    ah well.

And when the USSR broke up, Ukraine was supported by Russia. But when you bite the hand that feeds you, then it's down, down, down with the economy. It's called a 'revolution of dignity.'

I hope they're enjoying the EU.

But no country in Europe is self sufficient like Russia or has a bigger military. Hmmm! Wonder how the Seabreeze exercise in the Black Sea went? I guess it really made the Bear tremble? :roflol:

Russia is a nation under the control of KGB agent-turned-dictator who likes to pretend that he has been fairly re-elected to office for over 20 years even as his rivals and detractors regularly wind up dead or imprisoned

As my NASA scientist relative told me during the US Apollo moon missions... neither the USA nor the USSR would have a space program this advanced without Hitler's Third Reich German scientists [former Third Reich scientists worked for both the USA and USSR space programs.] Back then, most American science majors had to learn German.

Chernobyl is in Ukraine, period. Operated by Ukrainians. Remember, there are no indigenous Russians in Ukraine.

Funny how you want to claim 'Ukraine' this or that as a legit state but it was the Bolshevik Commie Vladimir Lenin that created the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic out of thin air (and Russian Empire territory).

    Chernobyl.....the Ukies own it.

Kiev [now the capital of Ukraine] was the first capital of the Rus [Russians.]

Kievan Rus' Grand Prince Vladimir the Great [Rurik dynasty] first Christianized the Rus in 988AD

All of it is, of course, true. And how does it makes Russia insignificant?

20 miles of barbed wire in Lithuania? Ok. I believe Finland had 1000 mile mine field on the Russian border for the obvious reasons, but then Princess Diana got her wish and they had to undo it. Not sure what they have now. Maybe barbed wire.

Oh, I see that they have now. A "horrific jumping mine" sounds like a good approach:

Finland developing horrific jumping land mine to deter Russian or other land invasions
    https://www.businessinsider.com/fin...ng-land-mine-to-deter-russia-invasions-2018-3
    • Finland is developing a remotely detonated mine designed to deter enemies with its "horror," the country's defense minister said on Thursday.
    • "This is a remotely tripped explosive, which bounds in the air and fires steel or tungsten bullets downwards," the minister told reporters.
    • Finland shares a 1,340-kilometer (833-mile) border and a difficult history with Russia, and since Moscow annexed Crimea in 2014, it has stepped up military spending.

    Here's what they have now:

...In January-April 2019 the Russians were once again the largest group of non-resident tourists who visited Finland. They made 290,000 overnight stays out of a total of 2.2 million made by foreign tourists, according to the latest data published by Statistics Finland.
