It's actually closer to 5%, and certain items are even higher.

I take a number of supplements, and the prices have rocketed.... what used to be $12, is now $19, $17 to $21. It's not going to stop, if the fed keeps printing money... (zips mouth shut)

I've got a septic system, did have to pull the off it once to rake out the undigested baby wipes, and found the rest of the tank amazingly unfilled with solids. Another, the kitchen sink had been slowing and finally stopped up, poured various drain cleaners down it (very important note, DO NO MIX DRAIN CLEANERS! ) I did and a geyser of acid erupted, burned paint off the microwave, was the Grace of GOD that I wasn't hit (I mean that literarily, there is no other explanation) ,
the clog was finally resolved by getting to the main drain and sticking a devise that goes on the end of the water hose, it expands to firmly seat in the pipe and the water pressure pushed the plug out .. it it a good devise with which to have a helper at the hose tap to control the water pressure while observing. All of this because we have no regular plumber nor a company like RotoRooter for at least 250 miles, and I am probably as good a plumber as anyone in our town.

Still planning the bathroom addition.. she wants doors (they are so pretty!).
I've been a bit slow, when the price of lumber shot up, I had to rethink #1 if i would have enough money to complete the project and #2 if I should not use the concrete bloc I have in abundance to do the wall (my wifey says that are cheap and of poor quality, and she's right, I just don't know if it makes a difference when it is just infill), anyway.. I look to the Lord for the timeing of these things.. if it is supposed to happen , then it will fall together,

We will do even more shopping in Mexico, takes more time to cross as we have to deal with two sets of Federal idiocy. We are eating more pork, the price hasn't raised as much as beef and chicken.. altho' we should buy more beef in Mexico, I saw a lot of fat cattle last trip south (last week) and supply is plentiful) the meat industry has evolved a long way in Mexico, so we will have to overcome old (and, at the time, well justified) prejudices of Mexican beef.

The problem with shower doors is soap scum.It is quite difficult to remove.
Bar soap is the worst. But I like and use bar soap.
About the most effective way to remove soap scum from a glass or
plastic shower door is one them Mr.Clean All White cleaning erasers.
I asked the gall down to Wal*Mart when they will restock the colored cleaning
erasers.I prefer Pink.Like the color of smoked salmon.
    I mean,why not.

The great thing about those years is I actually got to sit and eat at a table.. after I graduated (at the height of the Penn Bank /oil bust) I ate most of my meals in the car going from one job to another.

OH! what's that! I hear rain! better go check my windows.. pretty sure they are up bercause the dust was blowing hard earlier.

At least we didn't get the predicted 100 degrees today. 94, but hey, what's a few degrees among friends.

Learned something about cosmos, you have to be careful with the fertilizer if you want good blooms. Mine has gorgeous greenery but few blooms.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you wished that someone was there to tell you: "Don't do that! It's a bad idea."?

I went and got a 513lb. rock for the back yard. I backed the pickup truck on some blocks, we slid the rock into a Gorilla cart and promptly dumped it over. With a strap and the pickup for motive power, we got the rock back into the now destroyed Gorilla cart. We pushed, pulled, and dragged the cart to the back yard, toppled it over, and called it good.

When working in my shed I fell on the corner of a piece of chip board. It hit it full force with all my weight on my left side. It hurt my lower rib and took my breath away. It hurts to move, cough, sit, stand, breathe, or laugh. Gotta rest now. No choice. I got a hernia from moving rocks....be careful.

Having done a bit of yard improvements, things of that bulk and weight are best done in smaller quantities. It may actually take a few more minutes to do it that way, but less damage to the equipment and ego.

When it comes to fertilizers, one of my fellow Master Gardeners who taught Junior Master Gardener classes, had a great depiction. N P K (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium), portrayed as Up, Down, and All Around. :)

Soil pH can also effect bloom production.....

Did that just happen, or was that a while back? I hope you recover(ed). I think that we were lucky that nobody was hurt. It was dumb.

I wonder what it does to the property value. I can imagine a prospective buyer saying: "cute house, too bad about the big dumb rock".

Everything else was blooming great marigolds amd four o clocks but not the cosmos, a bloom is rare.

It made me rethink my plan for the wildflower planting. The plan was to sow a mixture and have decided that maybe different groupings would be better. The coming years they can go where they want to go. Wildflowers kind of go where they want to go they are nature's nomads.

One of my favorites is Queen Anne's Lace (Bishops flower) and chicory. I'll try to find one of my favorite 'roadside' pictures taken out the back roads of East Tennessee.

I love Queen Anne's lace it is a gorgerous flower.
We were in Tennessee a few years ago and the wildflowers were putting on quite a show. The flowers people had planted in their yards weren't shy about showing off either. It was a beautiful time to be in Tennessee.
With all this mess we are having right now our traveling days are cut short.

The hernia was years ago. The damaged rib cage was just the other day. It still hurts.

    Hey there barflies :alcoholic:

Just felt like stopping by and telling you guys that I got sick last Sunday and tested positive for Covid on Monday. I’ve been getting better over the past days, and I think I’m close to fully recovered now.

Have any of you had it? If you wanna ask any questions about my experience with this, feel free.

    Seth
