One can't judge by the lukewarm "churches"... many of whom are evil baal temples who rubber stamp whatever abomination the government and popular culture embraces.

As for me... I judge based on Bible prophecy... not only Rev 18... but many other end of the age Biblical prophecies [OT and NT] most of whom have come to pass since WW2.

For example, in Luke 17 Jesus compares the evil end of the age to the evil "days of Noah" [grave sin = race-mixing] and the evil "days of Lot" [ Lot lived in Sodom]... twin Bible examples of evil societies who were so clueless of their sins, yet so far passed the point of no return, God destroyed them. Then Jesus compared His return to the fire from heaven that destroyed Sodom.

But as of now world population is still increasing. So many believe the globalist elite have resorted to this worldwide pandemic/vaccine to kill off billions of people. These globalist elite only need about half a billion people to manage "their" planet [which will have much more natural wilderness areas]... because much of what was previously done by many laborers is now done by automation.

I doubt its 'many', but there are Christians who are horribly ignorant about what the Bible teaches about the mark of the beast and the seal of the spirit. They see the "mark" in everything, even social security numbers, driver licenses, etc.
