    My opinion piece (prediction):

The Taliban get cozy with both Russia and China. At some point in the not too distant future, the Taliban acquire nuclear material (probably not a bomb itself) from one or the other and use it for a big terrorist attack on the US. Concurrently, they try to take over Pakistan like they did Afghanistan, as Pakistan does have a nuclear arsenal. None of this bodes well for the US. And, Russia and China form a kind of NATOish alliance with Afghanistan. If Afghanistan is attacked then both Russia and China come to their defense. I think what I am suggesting is WWIII.

I agreed with the first part, "The Taliban get cozy with both Russia and China." After that, no. I don't think the Taliban are interested in nuclear weapons.

Russia already learned from its previous Afghanistan debacle. The US is learning its lesson currently. If China wants to be the next superpower wanting to be burned in an Afghanistan adventure, that'd be fine with me.

China is supposedly already there ready to exploit and profiteer off the rare earth and minerals that Afghanistan has in abundance.

Don't think China would go that route. It is more aware of the lessons of history.........both theirs and others. China is the interesting part of this potential equation.

If it is......and it might be.......it is quite subtle about it. But then under the chaos f a twenty year war.............and the current crisis............ who knows what is going on behind the scenes......

Of course you are. Life is so much less exciting if you stay grounded in reality.

A side note: A terrorist attack with nuclear material was one of the proposals AlQaeda looked into before they planned 9-11 and it was quickly discarded. It would be absolutely ineffective and not impressive enough.

For example, if you drop a conventional bomb full of nuclear material (a "dirty bomb") on a football stadium full of people, it would probably kill most of those who received the blast directly. But it wouldn't do much more. It would increase the chances of developing cancer for everybody... maybe within a mile of the blast by between 1 to 2% over their lifetime. We already have a 1.66% of developing cancer. It would increase it for those people to about 3%. So roughly, at most 3 of every 100 people in that stadium would develop cancer at some point in their life. Which could be years later. But consider that almost 2 of every 100 people in that stadium would have developed cancer anyway... regardless of the attack.

Dropping a conventional bomb in a stadium full of people would be a significant terrorist attack. But adding nuclear material to it would add very little actual damage to the terrorist act. Never mind the enormous difficulty of carrying out such an attack: obtaining the material, storing it, bringing it undetected to the U.S., figuring out a way to drop the bomb...

Any military strategist will tell you that it would be a dumb way to carry out a terrorist act. Would make a great Bruce Willis movie... but not much in the way of reality.

The thing is, China would happily go in there and execute every last one of them and suck the place dry without a second thought. They don’t play by any rules of morality or ethics. Look at Covid.

And the Washington and world establishments would continue to support China. Trump wanted to punish China. Biden, Pelosi, and the Europeans want to protect China. Incredible.

That’s the incredible part. China commits atrocity after atrocity and the world keeps defending them. Money really talks. I guess that was something they couldn’t do. Buy Trump off. He truly didn’t give a ****. Having such a monopoly on manufacturing has created a monster that is going to eat us eventually.

The difference between China and Russia and the US is that China will not care if the Taliban is lopping off heads of their own people

Much of the world and certainly the Democratic Party is Godless, soulless, and has zero integrity and zero principles. Many Republicans are no better, such as Mitch McConnell. Yea, Trump is the ONLY one who tried to do the right thing, and the left hated him for it. Yes, this world is ruled by the dark prince known as Satan and the left is in his service.

you basically worship one of the most immoral men to ever serve as POTUS and then talk about the left being in Satan's service.

how is it that so many people have been born without a sense of irony?

He did, to an extent, with the trade war. However, you need to acknowledge that the virus hit the U.S. in February of 2020 and Trump's focus was on battling the virus. Once he lost the November election, he was a lame duck. Had Trump won, he would have been advocating for punishment.

Why doesn't Joe Biden punish China? Is it because he likes that Chinese money for his son's art pieces?

Biden has done nothing to stop Trump's trade war, so it seems he has done as much harm to China as Trump did.

Trump talked a big game, you people fell for it, but he never walked the walk.

That's an idiotic statement. I don't worship anyone except God. Trump's policies were GOOD for the average American and that's why I supported him. I care about policy and less about the person implementing them.

The U.S. was in rock-solid condition, until the Chinese virus hit. Black unemployment had NEVER been lower. Gas prices were much lower than they are now. Food prices were much lower than they are now. Inflation was much lower than it is now. Overall, poor and middle-class Americans had a HIGHER standard of living than what they have now. But you think Trump was bad and Biden is good, right?

How so? Who is the sinless candidate that we should support? Are you suggesting that Christians should support the abortionist Democrats?

Russia has no tolerance for Muslims and I doubt China has any interest in that place either, unless they discover raw materials. Seeing China police them would be a nice bonus of course.

As for nukes and attacks on US.....nah, - last time they were in power they were interested only in running a Sharia state there. They allowed arabs (Al Queda) to set up camps there because they had helped them fight the soviets. Afghanistan (pop 37 million) taking over Pakistan (pop 220 million) is a ridiculous idea. Pakistan air force has hundreds of planes including F16 while Afghanistan has 18 propeller planes.

@Darth Gravus I believe one difference between you and I is that I have no special loyalty to any party nor to any politician; I simply want what's best for average Americans. You, on the other hand, are less interested in what's best for average Americans and more interested in what's best for the party, meaning the Democratic Party. Trump was the first non-politician to be elected since Ike. Nevertheless, you hated Trump, even though Trump was good for Americans.

no, I think both are bad. Both will make the 5 worst presidents ever list (along with GW and Obama).

there are more than two choices.

Actually I find very little difference between the two parties, and have not voted for either of them since 1992.

I do not hate Trump, hate takes effort and a level of caring I do not have for Trump. Prior to the start of 2020 I would have put Trump as the best POTUS this century, but his 4th year was a disaster.
