I am also a 3rd party voter, although I doubt I'll be voting at all next cycle.

Trump whined for 4 years which makes him one of the worst presidents ever.

Perhaps the US should stop buying anything from China..........As long as the US needs and uses what China produces......... it is reliant on China.

The God of Christianity has a son named Jesus. The God of Islam has no son.

Yea, you're not a partisan hack at all. Put the blame on Trump, who's been gone for 7 months.

Oh I totally agree with you. I've been telling people for YEARS that democratic nations should NOT buy anything from China. We are funding our own demise. It's insanity.

Isn't it telling how the left is constantly boycotting and trying to cancel American businesses that don't goose-step to leftist ideology while having NO PROBLEM with buying products from a nation that operates and supports concentration camps as well as death camps? I take it you have no problem supporting China, just like your esteemed president, right?

Muslims have Jesus, Mary, the flood too... they both believe in the Jewish God

and from the oldest Christian bible story ever found, seems Christians believed the same as Muslims

And that has nothing to do with the disastrous decisions and lack of action on Biden's part.

You remind me of Baghdad Bob. There's really no point in reading your rhetoric, let alone, responding to it. You're as dishonest as they come.

Yea, maybe you should take it to the religion forum rather than hijack this thread.

I mentioned it. I didn't belabor the topic and attempt to change the topic of the thread, as you have done.

With Trump, I believe the Taliban knew that he would be willing to hit them if they committed some horrific act against the U.S. after we had withdrawn. I believe that they may have been sufficiently deterred. But with Biden and his extreme ineptness and weakness, the Taliban may not feel so constrained. The Taliban can feel most confident that Biden will NOT re-engage in Afghanistan for just about any reason short of nuking New York.

My hope, however, is that the Taliban will NOT permit entities such as Al Qaeda or ISIS to use Afghanistan as a staging ground for terrorist attacks against the west. My hope is that the Taliban will prefer the relative comfort of Kabul and that they will want to enjoy their lives without the fear of an overhead drone making salsa out of them as Trump did with Soleimani.

    We'll see.

What role do you think the US should have there in the future?

That's our fault. It takes more energy to search online for products made in America or by American companies. Most people won't bother. It's too easy to order the first (or within a few) item that pops up. It's too simple to go to the store and buy things without any consideration for where it's manufactured.

I know many people that have no idea how to reconcile their bank account. Those types of people don't think about the ripple effect of buying goods made in China (anywhere else outside the US).

If American companies want me to buy their goods they need to provide a quality product for a competitive price. I am not going to buy lesser item for more money just because it was made in the US

my prediction is that "afghanistan," an external construct, fragments into tribes and feudal provinces ruled by warlords, some fanatic, some benign. nuclear weapons? why not?

what is your prediction for the former "united states?" how many warring fiefdoms do the former "us" become?
