Seems you might have a point. The GOP today is in an identity , existential crisis.. The Trumpians want Liz out. That will be disastrous..............as she is the voice of reason;.......in what has become an unreasonable party.(cult) It is sad to see what they are doing to her. If one does not conform with the TRumpian version of things.....one is ostracized. That is totally unprofessional. and a throw back to the dark ages. The problem is that Trump still controls much of the GOP.......They as a group are not even reasonable now..

Spot on about "bats*it " crazy. would never have thought the GOP would go off the ethical, moral and logical rails to the degree that it has. MTG is either a delusional nutter or a certifiable liar.

    Donald J. Trump........
    or one of his children!

If none of them want the role then Michael J. Lindell or Rudy.

For me there is no such thing as a career politician who should be president. That's why I never care who the president is. I give Calvin Coolidge, Dwight Eisenhower and Donald Trump a pass because they weren't career politicians and they were as close to being good presidents as I have seen. Choose whomever you like. I really don't care.

You don't think Calvin Coolidge was a "career politician"? What pray tell other job did he ever have for any length of time in his life?

Republicans could expel Marjorie Taylor Greene. They won't.

Given her verbal beheavior........not sure she should e in the position she is. But then The GOP seems to be in an identity crisis........ and is quite disjointed right now.

IF she is the future of the GOP.........then they are in real trouble. But then maybe CRAZY is the "in" thing now.

Traditional and reasonable Republicans will choose Cheney type people. Frothing mouth breathers will choose the MTGs.

That's a fair point. She is essentially the same person just on a different side of the coin.

Trump expected to endorse Wyoming lawyer to unseat Liz Cheney in biggest test yet of his ability to purge critics from the GOP

"Former president Donald Trump is expected to announce Thursday that he is endorsing Harriet Hageman to take on Republican Rep. Liz Cheney in a Wyoming primary contest. Cheney has been the most outspoken Republican critic of Trump's false claims about the election and of his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol."

seems that speaking truth to power is not a value that the GOP has or respects.........so they choose to oust anyone that even criticizes them.

Hmm. What type of democracy is this. Trump has chAnged the GOP into some unknown entity ........where everything is an ugly bloodthirsty shark feast .

    Yikes, two bad choices.
Cheney is the choice democrats seem to want for the future of the republican party, even thought by looking at her voting record, she supported Trump like 80% of the time, if not more.
MTG is the type of politician that comes about when populism is afoot. She’s brash, and I don’t think she knows much of anything.

Two bad choices, and two false choices.

The future of the GOP should be Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Tim Scott. That would be a great ticket for 2024.

As long as Libocrats are successful in dreaming up ways to continue shoveling out the welfare, they'll remain in power for as far into the future as anyone can see. Thus, the GOP will be relegated to sitting in the ditch by the side of the political road, bitching and shaking their fists in outrage.

Meanwhile you may be sure of ONE thing -- the Russians and the Chinese are not just sitting around casually watching this unravelling of America, even though it is probably a source of unending entertainment for them....

Yes......and about POWER. The purpose of governing is being lost in the process.......at the cost for anything that would benefit the population. If this current anstiness is an example of a highly functioning "democracy" for the world to see.........then the world is being manipulated by power hungry fools....... What is being displayed in an ongoing soap opera of the most negative kind. A cat fight has more results. (then the bickering, lies, disinformation, all of which leaves a population confused, angry, ...and constantly asking for "change"........but never getting it. Over all .....the GOP is devolving......and getting even more cut throat......in its tactics.
