https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/heating-costs-may-triple-as-propane-shortage-looms HYPERLINK has full article snip There is a real energy crisis in Europe that was created by a combination of political missteps, climate change fear-mongering and a woke energy policy that could leave much of Europe and Asia undersupplied as they head into winter.............................. Oil topped the $75 per barrel level this week, the highest since October of 2018................................. Imports of oil from Russia to the United States have hit all-time highs. We are more reliant on Russia because we cannot get as much supply from our oil producers here in the U.S.. Biden’s drilling moratoriums, discouragement of investment in the U.S. oil and gas sector, as well as the demonization of the oil and gas industry, are putting the U.S. on the verge of an energy crisis at home unless action is taken now. end snip For those who are involved in providing public assistance, the Democrat policies are good news for you. You will be busy taking applications for aid. Democrat voters have made it possible for all of us to now pay a lot more for energy this winter. Democrat votes have consequences; never good and always harmful to the common folk
Cartels control the amount of energy sources such as oil and gas being delivered to the world markets, limit the supply jack up the prices !!!
The Mid-West and East Coast had better hope and pray that we don't have any prolonged cold snaps. The Obama regime closed tons of coal burning plants that sit idle most of the time, but are back ups. We have also closed a few nukes. We don't have the energy supply for any prolonged cold events. Biden and Obama both have absolute moronic energy policies. People can die by the thousands if this goes wrong. It's far worse planning that anything people were critical of Texas for.
America should see modest natural gas price increases but not nearly what Europe will see. Has little to do with the democrats though. Demand is high and supplies are lower than normal. The only people in the US likely to be taken to the cleaners are the people who pay real-time rates---you know, like the idiots in Texas who wanted to save a few cents on their regular rates only to be hit with 3 and 4 digit bills during the cold snap this past winter.
There is no natural gas shortage. We have more stored in reserves than we could ever possibly use. The "shortage" is manufactured and intended to drive up prices so they can make alternative energy look more appealing.
Our supplies are lower because a warmer than expected summer diverted more of the normal stockpile into electric generation. The green energy movement is actually driving up demand for natural gas as a step-down carbon from coal overseas. The US will be fine.
Ya that's it, I suppose buying energy abroad has nothing to do with it right? Just another DNC blunder repeated every time they take the seat. And every time this happens the left say the the same tired nonsense... Use our domestic resources and save money, really just that simple! Oh and create American jobs and prosperity, eeeeegad did I go to far with that last part
If it were not for DC, where would Biden and Obama had found jobs? They simply signed off on whatever the folks giving them money told them to do Obama is now a very wealthy man...............funny how that works isn't it
What's all the fuss about? Green New Deal remember? You mean to tell me that solar panels don't work in the vast majority of the country during winter....because of cloud cover? Well duh. You mean to tell me the wind doesn't blow all the time? Why should we worry heating homes.....global warming remember? Fracking bad, amirite? Natural gas comes from fracking. All this green bullshit will get a lot of people killed but that's probably what it will take for people to wake up to this dupe.
Tree equity in action. 'Tree equity' is in the left's $5,000,000,000,000 spending bill currently in Congress. You can't make this **** up.
Oh joy, ANOTHER "shortage".....to end when the price rises to a level that people will pay without reaching for the torches and pitchforks, then PLENTY FOR ALL....as a side note around here in my little patch it looks like they're gearing up for another "change shortage", signs have been posted in several stores, better stock up on the toilet paper before they roll that one out again too. REMEMBER 2019....you'll NEVER see that way of life again.
Democrats would be so ignorant to think anyone cuts down trees for firewood. I own 40 acres, 36 of which is heavily wooded. We get plenty just from fallen trees.
wake up???? That takes adults who understand wrong from right. We now live in a world where a man with a penis is a woman. It's too late
Western Europe is wealthy enough to engage in these types of nonsensical policies. Throw in some feel-good government policies that were not very well thought out, energy prices double, sure it's a pain in the wallet but most people can still afford it. Eastern Europe, on the other hand, being poorer, is under much more pressure to be pragmatic, and does not have the luxury of engaging in public policies that could push prices up and make heating costs less affordable. Literally there would be old people who would die and freeze in their homes if they did that.
I was with you until the alternative energy part. I figure it's to raise prices and make the greedy fossil fuel industry some more cash.
If you say so, but natural gas production went through the roof while Obama was president, and is increasing now the Biden is president. Seriously? U.S. natural gas production to rise in 2021 as demand falls - EIA https://www.reuters.com/article/usa...ise-in-2021-as-demand-falls-eia-idUSL2N2OE1Z8 July 7 (Reuters) - U.S. natural gas production will increase in 2021 and demand will fall, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Short Term Energy Outlook (STEO) on Wednesday. The EIA projected dry gas production will rise to 96.99 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in 2021 from 95.81 bcfd in 2020 before rising to 99.63 bcfd in 2022. That compares with 93.06 bcfd in 2019. The agency also projected gas consumption would fall to 82.32 bcfd in 2021 from 83.25 bcfd in 2020, and then rise to 82.87 bcfd in 2022.
