maytbe we could have 1 guy, a guy with experience in business and lots of money, a guy who claims to be smarter than everyone and to know how to fix everything. if we make that guy president for life and put his children and in=laws in charge of everything this would be a regular utopia, wouldn't it?

The reason the country is collapsing is that the Progressives want it to collapse. Then, when chaos and dysfunction effects all the institutions the Progressives will swoop in with a Socialist dictatorship to restore order.

At least that is the plan. This is known as the "worse is better" strategy.

Every conservative I've ever discussed private property with, has been 100% for individuals owning property. They all say basically the same thing .. that the only way the working (and middle) classes can gain any kind of security and power, is via private property.

And no citizen is 'prevented' from buying land. There are no such laws in existence. If however, you mean that money is required to buy property, then I can't begin to know why you'd state such an obvious thing. People sufficiently determined to buy property, will find a way to get the money they need.

Cite any Democrat who does not support the right of people to own land.

If that ever happens .. think of the grand comedy on seeing all those tragically soft Progs frog-marched into barracks on the cabbage farm. Presided over by 'drill sergeants' who don't tolerate ANY deviation from acceptable conduct or appearance, and all meals are rationed and strictly according to leanest possible body mass. Oh my ... I get a tingle in me legs just thinking about it

Simple Solutions is removing Birthright citizenship. No social/economic benefits what so ever for illegals.
Technically need a wall first to actually stop these people OR you need to make their lives more
miserable here than where they came from.

Not allowing any Bills with Pork.

The MSM showing just a smidge of balance. Good luck.

Eliminating Affirmative Action and every single policy or program or benefit that gives advantages to any particular race or gender.

    That could solve a lot.

What they say and what they're actually doing, are two very different things.

In my country, home ownership is lowest in Lefties - ESPECIALLY Progressives (because Progs are attached at the umbillicus to cafes and art galleries, apparently. ie the least affordable locations).

Further to the fact of Progressives being less likely to own property .. why do you think that is? It's certainly not a function of poverty, since they're CHOOSING to live in the most expensive areas of the nation. That leaves only one explanation - they're not really invested in the idea of private property at all. If they're not even prepared to secure something cheap out in the boondocks, even just so their kids will at least have shelter when the zombie apocalypse comes, it shows all their talk is just ... talk.

The huge majority of both sides have their ears completely closed. Their only goals are to get everything they want and have the other side capitulate to their beliefs. You are not tinkering with an invention. You are talking about people. People who have no plans on listening to you unless you tell them that you agree with them. While you can find some in the middle who you can share fantasies with, at some point you have to accept reality and the reality is that you are in such a small minority that you have no hope of converting the remaining ones in enough mass to make change.

In my experience of trying to talk reason with the left, anytime I agree with them on one issue they then believe I am ripe for full blown conversion, thinking that if I saw the light on just one thing then surely I will be able to see the light on every aspect of their side. You'd probably have a better chance of going to Afghanistan and converting the Taliban to Christianity. That would be a very good analogy. Now, if you want to talk about fantasies, then you can debate away but fantasies are fantasies for a reason. It's just fun to dream, even when you know your dreams will never become reality.

There must always be minimum wage in the BS economic system we have now because that is how it was designed. Ever since labor and capital were decoupled at the start of the industrial revolution, it allowed capitalists, who owned all the property, all the means of creating wealth, to dictate terms to those their workers. It has been that way ever since. It does NOT have to be that way. We seem to think that the only possible economic systems lie on the capitalism-socialism scale, but that is because that is what we have been conditioned to accept. There are infinite other ways to build societies if we are willing to shatter the chains that are keeping so many down.

The way forward is to have only one tribe, the human tribe. Tribes have grown as the human spirit evolved. It used to be the family in the same cave. Then it became village. Eventually it got to nation. One day nations will dissolve when we realize we are all one people, and the old human ego will become as useful as the human appendix. We aren’t there yet, but we’re on our way.

I think this guy presents good ideas. It’s a starting point. Try to get through all the episodes if you can. They’re pretty short.

It's not just mechanical inventions, Thinker. I've had psychologists in my class (and I'm not a trained psychologist that have told me that things I've done in there field were impossible to do.
If you tell yourself something can't be done, you won't be able to make a genuine try. You may go through some motions of trying, but at the first obstacle, you accept you were right and because you expected defeat, you're done. Self-fulfilling (in this case limiting) philosophy. Nobody sees all the options, you have to believe they exist in order to find the motivation to pursue.

Such things are happening every day. Give you a real world example- Amazon. Bezos had enough vision to realize that there was a keystone barrier to huge growth- and that nobody in the field of online retailing has ever beat it. The barrier was simply- fast, cheap delivery. I wish I knew how he did it, but Bezos got the US Post Office to hustle for him, even deliver on sundays without special classification or fees. If you had asked a thousand businessmen if that was possible before that happened, you would have had a 100% NO reply. The task was impossible- yet many things we order today arrive tomorrow. No express or overnight or extra fees... but they reliably show up on time. That single change in service blew Amazon into a huge success, and Bezos into the worlds richest man. Doing the impossible can have dramatic results.

While we can do the difficult immediately- the impossible just takes a little longer. IF you doubt or quit; it takes forever... . Never happens. There are a lot of things that look impossible that we just haven't figured out how to do yet. The options here are also critical- consider where we will be if we don't find an answer. I've been working with several very sharp people on this idea for several years, and we do ave a plan- we're looking for your ideas in the hope that anything we may have missed or have wrong will be brought up. If you don't have anything to contribute, I thank you for your replies anyway.

im not going to spend all night writing down ideas when there are some videos that sum it up nicely. A few key points:

-ownership of the means of production by all of its workers. Yes this is similar to Marxism, but without government control of resources, and with the ability to own private property.

the decoupling of labor and capital occurred at the start of the industrial revolution. The lack of capital has allowed capitalists to dictate conditions to their workers, and there was not a damned thing workers could do about it. Unions were able to help fix the horrendous conditions in workplaces, but to this day most workers are being paid subsistence wages, not remotely equivalent to their energy output. The CEOs, management, etc, get paid amounts FAR in excess of their own energy inputs. The businesses could not exist without the workers any more than they could exist without the management and owners. This inequity allows CEOs, owners, etc, to purchase even more capital, and exploit the energy of more workers.

I like the idea of the highest paid workers getting paid no more than 3 times that of the lowest paid workers, from the delivery man to upper management. And ALL workers have a say in how the businesses are run. There is no more stock markets, no more debt, except through credit unions made up of other workers.

No more debts with interest. This allocates a greater purchasing ability in the hands of those who literally expended no energy, placing a greater percentage of the REAL energy economy in the hands of bankers and other elites. This artificially created wealth is one of the main ways that the 1% are able to keep most everyone else where they are.

not will take a total restructuring of the economy. Of course the economy will stop growing. It has to without debt generating interest. And that is a good thing. Everyone will OWN the means of production.
The key is for people to control capital. Not the government, as what happened with communism, and not the capitalists, as is the case we have now. Capitalism and communism lead to corruption and control.

now, I’m certainly not an economist, and I don’t know all the details. I’m sure people with strong economic backgrounds will say “well this could NEVER work because blah blah blah.” I say they are just trumpeting the same garbage that has lead us to the mess we are in now.

there is a better way than what we have. So, I have shot off a few of my ideas. What did you think of the ideas presented in the videos? Did you bother watching them?

Why not? Rent out your own place, and use the rent from that to fund the rent on the place you lease near your work. It's known as 'rent-vesting'.

You can no more create 'one big tribe' than you can create one big pack of dogs. Since it will never happen voluntarily, it must be FORCED, and if it's forced you can expect disaster. When the people themselves are telling you they cannot and will not include seven billion in their circle of trust, you must listen.

The only possibility of peace and security in our future, is a return to tribes and borders. That's how we've always cared for one another. Just look at the dramatic rise in the dispossessed, after we abandoned family/village/social responsibility in the 60's. That should tell you how important tribalism is.

Do you have a need to believe it's not true? Are you invested in demonstrating that Progressive Leftists are champions of private property?

If so, you're going to be disappointed if you do every bother to check the stats.

Literally the only thing keeping "one big tribe" from happening is the belief of people like yourself that it cannot happen. That is all. Your mentality is dying out on this planet. It will likely hold on for a couple more centuries, but when consciousness changes, anything is possible.
