How is that worse? Worse than what, exactly? What does a gubernatorial race have to do with Democrats retiring from congress?

Probably because Biden has killed 326,577 Americans since he took office.

Why do we always have to lower our expectations when a Democrat is president?

That got old during Obama's failed presidency....

It's the club aspect I have a problem with. I like most really wealthy people but not the ones who want to get richer by robbing all of us

Imagine if Trump had told half the country to take their masks off knowing:
    1. (at the time) There was no evidence if vaccines could be as effective against Delta.
    2. (at the time) There was no evidence if vaccines could reduce transmission at all.
    3. That if you tell people who are vaccinated to unmask you will end up with other people, who didn't want to mask in the first place, also unmasking.
    4. That the Biden White House guidance change order to the CDC (which was 100% politically motivated to produce a distraction) was in direct contrition to the suggestions of the CDC director herself.
If only Republicans weren't so mentally retarded when it comes to COVID strategy. They could have been hitting senile Biden up and down on these things + the resulting 300k+ dead Americans as a result. But where are they? The could have reformed and revised and hit Joe hard. They could have used that momentum to demand House investigations into the politically-timed CDC order. It could have been a massive political windfall for the GOP but they chose to just let it sail by. They chose to give Biden a complete and total pass on the very thing that sank them last year in both Presidential and Congressional races. And in the end, come next year, the Democrats will still be able to slam the right on anti-masking, anti-vaxxing, anti-shutdown, anti-mandate, etc, and the right wont be able to do a damn thing about it. They literally held the ball out and dared the right to take it and the right was like 'nah #sprednecklife bro'. ****ing strategic stupidity...

You mean dems are going to loose seats in those states where repubs are currently gerrymandering districts. Color me shocked.

The Koch brothers started this initiative about 15-20 years ago. They have poured millions into state races to get Republican majorities in states that were heavily dem, so that they could gerrymander. In my states, Iowa, repubs hold a heavy majority, an yet they are still gerrymandering our state to get more repubs reps in the house.

If you honestly think repubs are getting more votes, your just wrong. They are gerrymandering everything to make sure they can pick the voters, and not have the voters pick them. They represent less people, yet the hold a majority. It’s simple math to know that gerrymandering allows minority control.

You simply can not cite gerrymandering without admitting dems do the exact same thing.

I think the bigger issues are dems know a referendum against Biden is coming, and many of these districts are relatively moderate.

Also, no doubt young progressives will run which further diminishes the chances of victory in moderate locations.

Add to this that Trump may support the Republicans running of they are MAGA and his record is pretty good for election victories.

You may think Trump is out of the picture but he's anything but.

Fake News. In the 2020 election, which were held on maps drawn after the 2010 GOP sweep, Dems won 50.8% of the vote, but 51% of the seats. Had they won one less seat, they would have won 50.8% of the seats. Please direct me to your outraged posts over the Dems winning a seat in excess of their voting percentage.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections

But, I see you are already preparing excuses for your looming loss. If Dems respected the American People more, they would adjust their agenda to appeal to the broad base of the US Electorate. But, their leaders show great interest in ruling over The People and little interest in representing The People. This is consistent with having very little respect for the American People, which if true, is heartily returned. We Americans don't put up with that crap.

    Let's Go Brandon!

The numbers ain't lying. The Democrats heading for retirement represent swing districts that may be impossible to win next cycle. As I said earlier this year, Sinema and Manchin were legislating based on the early poll numbers that showed voters wanted them to oppose Joe Biden and the far-left agenda.

The five people announcing runs just so happen to be right-leaning or 'moderate' Democrats. Charlie Christ used to be a Republican lol.

So why do rich Democrats use the same tax loopholes the rich Republicans use?

They know the far left progressives will be running the party soon. Pelosi thought she could control them but inviting Biden to the House to persuade progressives to vote for the smaller bill showed she isn't in control anymore.

The key issue of 2022 will be abortion if the SCrOTUS upholds the NEFARIOUS Texas ban.

If that is what motivates the Dems and Progressives the House will remain blue IMO.

However that is as things currently stand.

We are a full year away from voting.

I think the fact that Biden and Pelosi can't get their bill through the Senate indicates they aren't in control of their party. Sinema and Manchin are running the show. They are solidifying themselves as bipartisan, establishment figureheads with more IOUs from corporate donors than any other politicians in Washington. More are coming.

The far-left progressives thought they were in control. They aren't. The corporate media will turn on them, and they will be sidelined from every major policy discussion. They will either be whipped into shape like Bernie Sanders, or drummed out of the party.

I've seen this happen for decades in both the Republican and Democrat Party.

If progressives have no power then why does Biden need them to vote for the smaller bill? Progressives have made it clear they will not sign the smaller biller unless the larger Reconciliation bill is also ready to be voted on. If they have no power then why did Pelosi ask Biden to the House to persuade them to vote for the smaller bill first?

    Yes.
Fake News. The fact that Dems won 51% of the seats on 50.8% of the popular vote in the last election completely shreds the claim that Dems are somehow getting an unfair shake on the election maps, in fact, dems got one MORE seat than their vote total supported.

As for Dems wanting districts that are more competitive, how about they draw some? The most lopsided districts are Democrat, drawn by Democrats.

You aren't going to get creamed in the upcoming election because something unfair is occurring, Dems are going to get creamed because they have not shown the respect and regard for our basic rights, freedoms and Liberty that we widely find acceptable.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE: Too many Democrats aim to make anyone who disagrees with them an enemy of the state. It's time the more sensible Democrats took over positions of power and influence
Fat Jerry is an *******. That's precisely the type of attitude that the nation is fed up with. "If you want to be better-liked, try acting like a public servant, instead of a public master."
Biden is fine with bullying women. He raped a staffer while she was on the clock.
The Dirtbags pre-arranged it, it was pretextual. The crap about it "interfering with interstate commerce was too cute by half.
"They’re always guilty of what they accuse others of. It’s their M.O. And if they were actually afraid of violence they wouldn’t behave the way they do. Their behavior comes from a sense of impunity, not from fear."

That's right. They are convinced that they can be as abusive as they wish and they cannot lose. For these clowns locked in heavily Democrat districts, that's likely true, but, they most certainly can lose their majority status.
