Thank you Vladimir Putin for standing up the world's children, humanity and common sense:

“We’re surprised to see things happening in countries that see themselves as flagships of progress… The struggle for equality and against discrimination turns into aggressive dogmatism verging on absurdity.”

“Opposing racism is a necessary and noble thing, but the new ‘culture of abolition’ turns into ‘reverse discrimination’…Here in Russia the absolute majority of our citizens don’t care what color a person’s skin is.”

“People who dare to say that men and women still exist as a biological fact are almost ostracized… Not to mention the simply monstrous fact that children today are taught from a young age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa.”

“Let's call a spade a spade: This simply verges on crimes against humanity under the banner of progress.”

Yes, I read it yesterday and cheered. Putin is a man.

I have long thought that political correctness and woke-ism are serious threats to liberty.
The woke don't want to imprison us, no, not exactly, but suppressing our freedom to support time- honored distinctions between men and women, and to oppose the process of leveling us into one "equal" gray mass, has no place in a free and healthy society.

Putin is actually doing us a favor here, by helping us to see what is enervating and dividing us. But we can't give the slightest credence to his comments because after all, he and Trump supposedly stole the election from Hillary.

It is conceivable that Putin could save the world from the wicked machinations and provocations of the NATO block.....

His style of leadership is far superior to anything the west has.

I doubt if anything can save the world from our idiots in Washington, and the "wicked machinations and provocations of the NATO block..." According to Moscow, the ties between Russia and Nato are “in a state worse than at any point during the darkest days of the Cold War.”

In his Valdai speech, Vladimir Putin said:

“the military development (by Nato) of the territory (Ukraine) is already underway and this really poses a threat to the Russian Federation. Tomorrow, rockets could appear near Kharkov, what are we going to do about it? It’s not us placing our missiles there, it’s them shoving their (missiles) under our nose,” Putin added.
Notice that Vladimir Putin didn't say Ukraine but rather referred to it as a territory - which it always was. Frankly, I think Ukraine's days are numbered. I can't help but wonder if the provocations and build up of forces by Nato, is to encourage nations like Ukraine to start a war with Russia under the assumption that they'll have Nato's backing.

One Washington periodical stated that if Russia was to lose a war with Ukraine, the Russian people might get rid of Vladimir Putin - which is their ultimate goal.

Oh yeah, dictators for life are just swell.

He’s just another politician that knows how to manipulate the masses and create that “us against them” mentality that keeps the world at each other’s throats. Yay.

This has nothing to do with the substance of what he said and why.

It is interesting. After the collapse of the Soviet Union the West decided it needed MORE Marxism (at least our dear leaders did). The Russians and former satellites less. The Russian experience should be a cautionary tale for the West. Of course the current Revolution is mainly demographic under the cloak of humanitarian anti-racist multi-culturalism. One of the greatest weaknesses of Western man is a desire to be fair and welcoming. This instinct has been used against them to give up their lands, ancestry, and future.

The dictator currently in the White House does far more harm to democracy and constitutional principles than Putin has ever done.

For example, even as Sleepy Joe and SCOTUS demolish the notion of bodily autonomy, in 2003 Putin worked to restore trial by jury to Russia. Russia: Kremlin Announces First Plan For Judicial Reform (rferl.org)

The only thing that matters really is if the Russian like him - and they do. I think it's to their credit because he's not a charismatic person. He is brilliant though and he's good for Russia. I wish we could be that lucky.

There was a lot of discrimination in Moscow with people from the Caucasus, but it had to do mostly with terrorism and the Chechnya wars. The jihadists were coming in from the Gulf states and arousing the moderate Muslims in Chechnya and Dagestan.

Of course the CIA was embedded with the terrorists and when Putin complained to Bush he said; 'we can do whatever we want'. Putin responded; "you don't mess with terrorists." Two weeks later 911 happened.

When it seemed that Russia had lost Chechnya, Putin destroyed Grozny, and then going against the advice of all his generals he met with the mufti who was Kadyrovs father. Putin trusted him, and began rebuilding Grozny.

The attitude of the Russian people changed when Kadyrov and his men proved they were willing to give up their lives to fight for Mother Russia and Vladimir Putin. Kadyrov was put in charge of the Caucasus to make sure that terrorists will not enter Russia - and they have had quite a few battles with them.

The Chechyans are also guards in the deconfliction zones in Syria since they are Sunnis and therefore trusted by the majority. They are also used along the border between Israel and Syria.

If Putin were really our enemy, he'd encourage us to be even more PC and pro-trans than we are.

I appreciate calling a spade a spade, that is the West l, and particularly Americans, are crazy. Canada is worse.

Putin doesn't hesitate to move, even if it means war if Russia's survival is at stake. But he's also a devout person, which means he has to take the spiritual welfare of the Russian people into account as well. So there's no way he's going to bow to the liberal idiocies of the West.

Jeanette, was it a struggle for Putin, do you think, to champion the USSR?

Jeanette, I have so many questions: who was behind the assassination of Kadyrov's father, and what accounts for Kadyrov's (apparent) continued devotion to both Islam AND Putin/Russia?

Perhaps his father inculcated respect for Putin in his son after their rapprochement(?)

Also, I am reading perhaps dated articles of Kadyrov's desire to see more mosques. Can his affection for Putin last?

I don't know what you mean by champion. I know that Putin once said that anyone who doesn't reminisce about the Soviet Union doesn't have a heart, and whoever wants it back doesn't have a brain. He also said the world we're trying to form will not survive the same way the Soviet Union didn't survive.

What bothers Putin about the break up of the Soviet Union and calls it the worse tragedy of the last century, is that 20 million Russians found themselves living outside of Russia- yet they're living on ancestral Russian land.

He blames Lenin for it in that he was a revolutionist and not a statesman so he didn't know what the hell he was doing. He created administrative centers without taking history and ethnicities into account and it's causing all the problems in Eastern Europe and I think in the Caucasus too.

As for Putin, I formed my opinion of him from the article below by Sharon Tennyson. This is why I hated the lies and demonizing of him by the MSM.
