The states mentioned in the OP with low quit rates have astronomically high unemployment rates. Like 1.5-2 times the unemployment rates of high quit rate states. I don’t think that’s something to brag about. Unemployment rate Idaho—2.9%. Unemployment rate New York—7.1%. Unemployment rate Kentucky—4.3%. Unemployment rate DC—6.5%.

People brag about the strangest things. “Our unemployment rate sucks balls—yay us!” LOL. And those who can’t think critically cheer the losers. SMH.

The OP's false narrative seems to have collapsed quite quickly.

This thread looks doomed to abandonment.

I should add, the OP also seems enamored with DC, New York, and California based on this one metric of job quitting. But DC has the HIGHEST POVERTY RATE in the US. California is number one in poverty rate as a state, only slightly lower than DC. New York has the seventh highest poverty rate of US states. But look…a squirrel…people are quitting jobs more in states that aren’t unmitigated disasters economically!

Please explain what you mean by that. Please be specific, and please try and use facts, and real world examples.

I'm not interested in your opinion on the matter.

Those that support Trump are not true conservatives. They are just fearful and angry and easily influenced. How the interest now?

It looks like you're falling into the trap of the "No true Scotsman" fallacy.

    No true Scotsman - Wikipedia
    https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › No_true_Scotsman

No true Scotsman, or appeal to purity, is an informal fallacy in which one attempts to protect their universal generalization from a falsifying ...

Please define "true conservative" for us.

Can you be angry and still be a true conservative?

Can you be fearful and still be a true conservative?

Can you be easily influenced and still be a true conservative?

Can you be all three combined and still be a true conservative?

Does supporting Trump automatically preclude a person from being a true conservative, or do you need to support Trump, and check all three boxes above to be excluded from the true conservative club?

I don't think this has much at all to do with Red states or Blue states. And not with vaccine mandates either. There's been isolated cases of people quitting or being fared due to vaccine mandates; it's happening but is still a tiny percentage of the workforce. The Great Resignation has deeper causes than that. It seems like with lockdowns, telework, and a higher percentage of stimulus money being thrown into American households, people are flush in cash and more willing to question their previous jobs, and willing to reinvent themselves. It's a cultural phenomenon rather than a liberal/conservative one. I think it has more to do with cultural shifts brought about by the pandemic than with partisan politics.

The OP is the kind of post that tries to "own the conservatives" just like conservatives sometimes post to "own the liberals." I think the raw data presented doesn't support the conclusions drawn by the original poster. This is a very complex phenomenon with multiple causes, and the OP's approach was simplistic.

Here is one of the multiple causes: more than 3 million Americans decided to retire earlier due to the pandemic:

What we learn from the OP is that, in a competitive job market, with tens of thousands of unfilled jobs available, liberals never quit their jobs to take better jobs.

    Smart. Real smart.

Dude, most of the anti-vaxxers are from red states. Figure it out, just once.

Side note: Vaccine mandates (pandemic mandates) are foolish and don't accomplish anything except for a weaker economy or perpetual pandemic lockdowns, for examples.

Approximately 25 percent of the population is highly susceptible to Covid infection...This means approximately 75 percent of the population isn't highly susceptible to Covid infection.
Effective vaccines make that 25 percent so much smaller. Effective quarantines (the Covid-sick from the non-Covid-sick and the highly susceptible to Covid from the not so susceptible to Covid) make that percentage of highly susceptible even that much smaller.

This begs the question: Why contact trace at all? Why force people to show their vaccination statuses when those who're vaccinated have a much smaller chance of adverse reaction to Covid infection?
Maybe people want to overtax hospital resources with contact tracing? Maybe people want to overtax hospital resources with the showing of vaccination statuses? Maybe people just want pandemic rules forever?

I know people who quit their jobs for jobs that let them keep working from home.

It hardly even proves what the OP is claiming.. Starters the map is pretty much one shade whereas the darker states hardly even prove his point

Besides, if this is to be red states as suggested, then kudo's to them for having put away enough money to tell them boss's to kiss their ass :)

    Ok... ;)

But, I've started hearing more and more about this 'great resignation.' And, I don't know where it will take us. I'm guessing that people now want to reach a higher quality of life, but can that be possible? I don't know.

IMO, many are also quitting their jobs (before they're fired because of vaccine mandates) 'cause they won't get the vaccine. Vaccine mandates are fallacious because the vaccinated are protected from adverse reaction to Covid infection and, well, it's obvious that vaccine mandates slow down the economy.

The lowest state quit rates according to the map belong to New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and is that Rhode Island? What does anyone draw from that?

Well there is no chance in hell people would have been able to quit their second or third jobs in liberal capital of California. And it looks to be the case that they are not able to in many democratic ran states. The leadership there has seen to that.

    Amirite?

That people in those states are still unable to quit their "third jobs" because of the great leadership in those democratic states.

    ;)
