    "WAS IT THE SECOND AMENDMENT?"

Just a few months ago not many of my fellow Virginians had even heard of Youngkin and yesterday I voted anyway even though I was about 80% sure that McAwful & Co. would win.

Usually, my vote has been the kiss of death for any candidate so I fully expected the Democrats to win but this morning I was both delighted and surprised to see that I was wrong.

Even though Youngkin had little to say about gun control during the race, Virginians who support the 2nd Amendment knew that McAwful & Co. were committed to further evisceration of our gun rights and voted accordingly regardless of the inclimate weather or, frequently, other issues.

That's the thing about 2nd Amendment supporters: they show up and by showing up Virginia was spared more feel-good-do-nothing gun control laws.

First of all, let me applaud you. Getting everyone to the polls yesterday was the recipe for success.

To the 2A issue, I think the tide started turning against the Dems during the 2A Sanctuary movement that brought a lot of Virginians off the political fences and sidelines. Back then I was wondering if it would impact these elections and today I think it did. From what I've read we had a record turnout yesterday.

The great part is they didn't have to pander to minorities the way Democrats do.

And Glenn, Winsome and Jason won't be available to drink your tears in 2024. They'll be running our fair Commonwealth through 2025.

The statement was not dead wrong and of course Younkin was going to win. The Democratic party is very unpopular right now.

No, what would have the win this reace was to actually have a backbone and call the right out on their BS.

Are you forgetting that Charlottsville was the flashpoint for the nation and the current race debates ? This was no fluke, Youngkin purposely played the race card.....in VIRGINIA....

WTF are you on about. The core of Younkins platform was "NO CRT". The right has bastardized CRT so bad, it doesn't even resemble what it really is. Youngkins messaging was "school boards are telling parents that they have no say in what their children are taught", which was BS. But in the current political climate, facts dont matter, and the electorate (mainly on the right) dont require facts.

Don’t be so arrogant. What makes you think you know more about the Virginia schools than parents of children in those schools?

Don’t you guys ever get tired of acting the fool?

Wow.......from the party that believes that that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.......mmm...OK.

The party in power almost ALWAYS looses in mid-terms. But the ultimate irony is that in polls just released, many believe that the dems arent any good because they cant get anything done.........because the repus are blocking everything .....

Being a state that Biden won by ten points just turned Republican in the house and the governor it does make one wonder where Biden found the votes to have a ten point lead.

Don’t be a rube? You guys still don’t get it. Average Americans outside of urban areas are fed up with being treated as ignorant country bumpkins. No wonder they gave Democrats the middle finger last night.

That crazy agenda of allow parents the right to decide what they want their kids taught in schools? Oh. The horror.

McAuliffe's campaign staffer called rural Youngkin supporters Confederates in one of his last tweets.

Basically he hissed and spit and stormed off.

And many think CRT is history. If that’s the case they would talk about how whites were the only race in history go to war with their own to free another race. Nowhere has that ever been done than here. If we failed they would still be enslaved. We did not and we shed our own blood for them.

Rather CRT teaches that whites were the sole reason for their slavery. How moronic is that. We are the sole reason for their freedom.

Good show, I like Youngkin and hope he is successful he may have a bright future. Hope he does stay true to conservative policies and principles. This is a HUGE RED FLAG to the Dems and it will be interesting to see how the "moderates" in the Senate react. Can they remove Pelosi and make the "Squad" impotent?

Have the Dems learned about that game?

Isn't being "anti-black" what makes a White Supremacist into a White Supremacist in the first place? Up is down now, huh? I know it's desperate times for you free stuff lovers, but that's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

Americans did not bring slaves to the United States. At least not legally. Those who did and got caught went to prison. The Europeans bought the slaves at the markets in Africa and brought them here. Slavery existed here as European colonies. They didn't want the Africans in Europe so they developed the African slave economy over here far far away. The United States inherited that slave economy which at the time was vital to the entire economy and was legal. The northern states did not want Africans were happy to have them in the Southern States the less industrious and then they could profit of the products produced and the same with the European countries which relied on that labor especially for sugar and rum along with the textiles produce and cotton exported along with the tobacco.

Yes in the prism of today slavery was horrible institution. Yet it still exist in the world today. Then it was an acceptable institution but one on it's last legs as western civilization further developed and evolved an eventually brought those slaves their freedoms at a HUGE cost in blood and treasure.

CRT teaches that whites still want to enslave blacks and suppress them and are the cause of all their failures as a society in itself.

And heck my ancestors were slaves to the English and the Romans.

I don't know, I guess one could believe their race was superior but not be "anti" other races in particular.
