When libs don't have an argument, they start the "but Trump" nonsense. Everyone knows the pandemic wasn't Trump's fault.

Anyhow, does it seem like we have a president who doesn't understand basic economics? Like if you pay people more than they make at their jobs, they won't want to work? Like if you shut down the supply of U.S. fuel (supply), the cost will go up? Like if you spend 3.5 trillion dollars, someone has to pay for it, it has to "cost" somewhere down the line? These seem like principles a child could understand.

My worst fear is that he isn't as stupid as he acts and all this (including the impoverishing of the middle class citizen) is intentional.

ByDumb is incapable of doing anything right!

Biden hopes fines on lingering cargo containers ease congestion at major U.S. ports

So the moron thinks charging $100 bucks a day will somehow fix the unfixable. And his steady followers don't even realize the port and companies waiting for the goods will not be charged for he fines :)

    Its idiocy.

And even if some kind of fine was collected the shippers and companies will just pass the cost onto the consumer which means prices still rise.

If Biden isn't responsible for inflation, then he doesn't get to take credit for economic recovery. Deal?

You beat me to it. I mean, anyone with even a quarter of a functioning brain would realize that as of right now, the best response to get these things moving would be to LOWER fees so that there would be an incentive to get those cargo ships goin'. You tax what you wanna punish and incentivize what you want more of.

But then again, no one has ever accused Robinette Brandon of having more than a quarter of a functioning brain.

I'm moving past him being a demented old fool. If he was, even accidentally he'd stumble upon a real solution.

I think he's just meat puppet and his handlers are doing this.

Not the pandemic, but its management.

Hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved if Trump had taken COVID seriously.

For the past 35 years, every Republican POTUS has come into office when the economy was doing well and left in the middle of a recession.

Each time, the voters have chosen a Democrat to clean up the mess.

The Republicans only know how to spend while creating no wealth, cut social programs, allow the rich to pay less taxes and in the end, they have never managed to beat the Democratic POTUS in job creation.

Biden will do the job, like Obama and Clinton before him.

    You can sleep tight.

Everything that the worst President in US History touches turns to dust, whether by design or by incompetence doesn't matter. And no, the political dog trial that's taken place over this and the next year will not save the majority party(as much as it hopes it will.) We the people must demand solutions to these problems and people who will have the desire to implement these solutions. Whatever party they claim to support will be irrelevant to this necessary undertaking.

You also posted the article in the OP... and that totally contradicts your point.
Everybody sees that. And it's even from a far right wing news source usually riddled with fake news.

I can't be looking the other way on it.

    Rather off topic.
But the thing you have to take into account that the covid-19 of 2020 is not the same covid-19 in 2021.
The covid-19, delta variation of 2021, is far more contagious and deadly.
And the vaccine was developed against the covid-19 of 2020 and not 2021 delta variation.

Should do it....they'll just high-tail it back home and add a bigger fee for returning.....America could have pulled a random name out the phone directory and done no worse. No use blaming Biden, he's just a bobble-head that the TRUE power brokers prop in front of the cameras and give a thunk in the head to set it bobbling and BABBLING.

I was thinking the same thing - Americans are already paying $175/month for the mistake of voting Demokrat and Winter hasn't set in yet.

I've been busting my glutes getting firewood cut because I know it's going to cost me a 50%+ more to fill up our propane tank, and I'm one of the lucky ones who has a fireplace to offset his fuel use and costs. Everyone else who is solely reliant on heating fuel to keep their homes warm are going to pay a lot more than I will, and as you pointed out the poor who Demokrats pretend to care about while they hand out tax cuts for their Champagne Socialist constituents will get hurt the most.

All towards the final "solution" - government dependency.

Dude... You keep copy and pasting the same argument that has been refuted numerous times. You are told the context in which trump lowered supply to save the oil industry in a historical, and you are then shown articles that in which Trump and Saudi Arabia had planned to increase oil supply when the economy reopened.

It's pathetic. You don't take the time to research and paraphrase the information, because you don't want to hear or understand the truth. If you actually read your own Reuters article and researched the deal, you'd see the date is prior to the historic agreement with Saudi Arabia. So it's obvious to everyone that you're ignorant of the subject matter, and just posted an incompetent point without regard for accuracy. Pathetic.

If you knew what you were doing the whole time, then you tried to lie everyone. Since I've presented you with the accurate sources multiple times, you're post demonstrates with incompetent or deceit.

dude, it's too soon for the right to try and rewrite history, Trump threatened other countries to reduce the supply of oil last year, now we are seeing the results of that with higher prices at the pump

    Read more books.

    Cheap energy always benefits society.

From grain, to sugar, to alcohol, to gasoline.

The dems are subject to flawed energy policy based on their donations.

They WANT cheap energy to dissappear hence higher gas prices and requirements for electronic vehicles.

So dems make laws.to favor their donors, not on anything that actually helps.

In the most basic sense , dems only destroy.

Dude. I don't care. No one cares. You only wish to mislead everyone with false narratives by framing Trump's historic deal as the main reason supply is down across the country during the Biden Administration. It's nonsense.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/13/ope...st-and-most-complex-deal-ever-dan-yergin.html

We've been telling you since the beginning of the year that Biden needed to increase supply because of inflation. You refused to believe that inflation was a big deal, and would be 'transitory'. You bought into the Administration's line that all of us knew was patently false.

This is my last response. I'm not rehashing an argument that 60% of voters already know about, and thus, rightfully blame Biden for inflation of oil prices. The guy is dolt. He broke the agreement with Saudi Arabia, because he had no idea what the hell he was doing when entered office. He called them vermin on the campaign trail. The Saudi Arabia diplomat has gone on Fox Business many times over the last fews to provide the reasons that they feel disrespected by the United States, and the countries economic reasons for not helping the demented moron.
