Funny how he didn't ban the one country from which all the 9/11 terrorists came, Saudi Arabia.

However, many of those same people also accused him of racism and xenophobia when he banned flights from China early last year in response to a virus we knew very little about that was quickly spreading across the globe that originated in... are you ready for this? Sniffy McFingers has a loooooong history of racism. It fought to keep the blacks out of its kids' schools when it was a senator, stating it didn't want Beau and Hunter in a "racial jungle." Later it observed one had to speak with a thick Indian accent to own a 7-11, and then most recently rebuked Americans of African descent who were thinking of not voting for it, stating "you ain't black." It never uses the word "ain't" when addressing the whites. And let's not forget about its shock and surprise about how "clean and articulate" it found Barack Obama to be, as if Barry should have shown up to the debates with a gold chain and sportin drawers (that means low pants and your underwear is visible). So this should come as no surprise to anyone that it finally found an excuse to ban blacks.

I don't know if it's actually good policy or not, nor its efficacy at preventing the spread of a virulent microbe that exists to replicate itself and mutate in as many hosts as possible. Yes. Trump immediately banned foreign travel from China where Obama, Biden and Fauci funded the development of COVID. After the Obama-Biden-Fauci flu spread to the Southern EU and Democrats traveled thru NYC to Madrid to celebrate International Women's day and returned to spread their newly acquired disease, Trump banned travel from Europe. Was that the change in policy you referred to?

 

Banning Travel (without regard to race, creed, etc ) for a real virus is not the same thing as banning people for imaginary 'terrorism'.

Note that Trump banned 'muslims' for terrorism (he used that word in his attempt to ban) with 100% of the 9/11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, the country he did NOT ban travel from. Why? he had a hotel there.

 

Travel bans because of a virus which poses an existential threat cannot be construed as 'xenophobia' or 'racism'.

Trump has proven his bigotry and racism too many times in too many ways above and beyond these bans.

Some people confuse 'racism' with 'bigotry' and use the terms incorrectly.

 

The term' 'African American' is generally understood to be persons of the black race.

Of course, American whites and Arabs born in Africa could claim they are 'African American' and be technically correct. But, most will not do that
because of the association that 'African American' implies.

That being said, 'Africa' is a continent, not a race.

There are plenty of words that are "generally understood to mean black people". That doesn't mean we should be using them.
