He literally was running away before being forced to fight. I'm not surprised someone on the left would be ignorant of that though.
Kyle retreated and the commies and Pedos were encouraged by it. This would save more lives nation wide.
Obama, Biden, and Pelosi all own mansions at sea level. Thats because they.know the sea levels will rise thousands of feet real soon due to global warming. Put all 3 plus AOC in a space ex rocket and RESCUE them by sending them to Mars.
Yeah so then any idea why Matt Gaetz talked about abolishing "the legal duty of retreat" everywhere as if could have resulted in a guilty verdict for Rittenhouse?
They also don't understand that there was a point where he was no longer ABLE to retreat, when he fell over.
They are also ignorant of the fact that there was a point where he was no longer ABLE to retreat, when he fell over.
I did. They do not explain why Gaetz talked about abolishing "the legal duty of retreat everywhere" as if "the legal duty of retreat" impacted the trial.
In another forum, someone stated Rittenhouse should have concealed a handgun rather than open carry a rifle. Question: would it have been legal for him to have done so?
I tried real quick to see if Wisconsin even had a duty to retreat or stand your ground. Unfortunately if saw both. I’m glad Rep. Gaetz is looking to nationalize Stand your ground. Duty to retreat is stupid.
No. He was 17 at the time. To concealed carry one must have a license to do so. At 17 he was to young to have that license.(disclaimer: laws vary by state and I don’t know all states laws)
Yes, it was in the jury instructions. It was also in the prosecutions case in chief and closing arguments. If you watched the trial, you may recall some testimony / questions / arguments about the cluster of cars pedo chased Kyle into, and whether they blocked his escape or not. The prosecution was trying to use their grainy-as-hell drone footage to argue that Kyle had "provoked" the pedophile by pointing his rifle at Zaminski, and because of that provocation, he had a duty to retreat, and he failed to meet that duty to retreat because he could have kept running further into the car lot filled with angry and violent rioters. Here's where Wisconsin's law is on the subject: Wisconsin Legislature: 939.48 The dirtbag prosecutors argued (unconvincingly) that Kyle had provoked pedo's attack and not done enough retreating yet to resort to self defense. TL;DR = Wisconsin's "duty to retreat" only applies if one has "provoked" the attack that one is defending oneself from.
The Jury spoke, made their decision, and made it final. That's all there is to it. There isn't anything we can do about it.
