    1. Try it. As we Americans say - **** around and find out.

    2. And rest assured, we'll take every single one of your cities and military bases with us.

There are different versions, but many historians are leaning towards the version I wrote above.

I am not an American politician and I am not a representative of the American media, so I am not lying.

Unheard of doesn't mean non-existent, just well hidden. You could be jailed for homosexuality, and Oscar Wilde, a prominent Victorian, actually was.

If you think the Romans or the Greeks believed in equality for women I encourage you to get some accurate history books

Gotland is a small island that is constantly divided between Sweden and Denmark. If this island was the ancestral home of the Goths, it would rather be the other way around. Gotland would have conquered both Sweden and Denmark.
The theory that the Goths are from this small island is a fake.

I read somewhere that the word Goth meant "glorious" in their language and that the word "Ostrogoth" did not mean "East Goths" but instead was translatable as "Even more glorious". The Goths, according to this scholar, were certainly not a people afflicted with any lack of self-esteem

The first line that you wrote in your OP was entirely false. It was apparently false because you'd read the claim in some American media and hadn't taken the effort to double check (which is ironic in a thread about dishonestly in the media). You may not have been lying but someone did and I certainly think that, having had that clearly pointed out, you should acknowledge the fact that the claim was entirely false and recognise how easy it is to become part of the problem.

It's also nonexistent. Nobody seriously maintains that. The article on the island of Gotland specifically states that the relationship is ahistoric.

Homosexuality always existed, but it was miniscule compared to today. When something is not acceptable in society and by one's peers, it simply doesn't enter people's minds. In the authorized biography of Lawrence of Arabia, his friend stated that he himself was a homosexual but that the mere thought would have been abhorrent to Lawrence because it was a different age and these things were not even considered.

In a 1980 magazine on the Belle Epoque in Paris by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it said that lesbians were laughed at - although I wonder about that because it was common then for women to be more affectionate, so they might have misinterpreted the paintings. Yet homosexuality was considered abhorrent.

Then in Lord Byron's official biography, he loved the Near East because of their laxity compared to Britain. Famed Ali Pasha made passes at him when young which he ignored, but later on in the Near East, I'm sure he had young men consorts as well as women. Also, I know in Russia one of the Grand Dukes frequented a home with young boys - but this laxity might have had to do because of their proximity to the Ottoman Empire.

You didn't say equal rights, you said they were considered inferior. There is a difference. I know the Greek wives and daughters lived in a separate part of the house, while the men congregated in a different part, and sometimes with concubines. A lot of it was protection though, who would want their daughters to end up on the streets?

You mentioned only the Romans not the Greeks. I think the women in Rome had more rights and were a bit more involved in affairs, otherwise why are they so prominent and well known? As for the inheritance laws, I really don't know what they were. I know in Britain Lord Byron married a very wealthy woman, and when she divorced him, he kept all her property and left her just enough to live comfortably. He spent the money on freeing Greece from the Ottomans.

As for the US? Well, Puritanism was alive and well and people rarely think outside the prevalent culture. We were laughed at by the Europeans because of it. As for American women, they were always known for being assertive. As for the social structure, it began changing in the 1970's and 80's.

Look on the news what Putin really said - "We will go to heaven, and our enemies will simply die." This is a literal quote.

In Russia, the main religion is Orthodoxy. And the main principle of this religion is "Die for your friends"
This religion teaches - if you die in battle, then you will go to heaven.
    Muslims have a different principle.

We've been down this road before.

CLAIM: Side-by-side photos show that CNN lightened the skin of the gunman who drove a car into a Seattle protest to make him appear white.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. CNN did not alter the skin tone of the gunman who drove into a George Floyd protest in Seattle on June 7 and shot one person. One of the photos used in the image was manipulated to make the gunman’s skin lighter, and a CNN logo was added.

THE FACTS: Posts circulating online are falsely suggesting that CNN got caught doctoring an image of a Seattle gunman to lighten his skin tone. The fabricated image shows side-by-side photos: one that shows the actual event and the other has been altered to lighten the gunman’s skin and add the CNN logo. The photo was shared across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit.

You seem to have not addressed the post at all. Explain why even after the identification of the driver in Waukesha that CNN was still trying to pretend like the pictures of the perp weren't available, or that somehow the identity was in doubt, and to date, have yet to air a single comment on the black racist posts, profiles, etc surrounding the perp? No one cares about the ancillary stuff you mentioned. They did seem and actively use color filters all the time. They did it constantly trying to make Trump more orange. They aren't news. They are DNC dogma propaganda 24/7.

Try the substance instead of the deflection next time.

For example, I consider any religion 100% fraudulent. But historical religious postulates for thousands of years are being introduced into the code of the people. Therefore, the attitude towards death is important and, accordingly, the willingness to die at any moment. If you want to understand the Russians, read Dostoevsky.
By the way, Friedrich Nietzsche considered Dostoevsky his teacher and admired him. Nietzsche wrote about this in his memoirs.
