I always suspected this was so given the time line and the fact he arrived “too late to be tested” before the debate. Not once after he received word that he had tested positive did he wear a mask to protect others. Not once did he cancel appointments.. He did take a second test that tested negative but also did dodge that screening test before the debate

At no point, even before the second supposedly negative test, did he cancel meetings or do one thing to protect others

Let the defence take the stand

Meaningless liberal banter. That’s all there is to say.

The point of the OP is to cement the notion that if you test positive you are somehow magically sick. It is how government is creating prejudice against the unvaccinated.

People who actually care about the consequences of their actions for others would consider the possibility of spreading the virus after a positive test. Of course, Trump thinks only of himself, so he thought cancelling the debate because of the test would reduce his re-election chances. It's pretty easy to read his "Trump first" mind.

Same for the vaccinated since they too can spread it but they get the magic pass because they succumbed to the authoritarians.

You do prove that the propaganda works. That you think a positive test means you are sick. Never take into account that the tests created tons of false positives. I take it you think you no longer know when you are sick.

I am vaccinated with the booster. If I would get a positive test, I would quarantine. In fact, I changed my lecture yesterday to zoom, because I was in contact with someone who just tested positive. That's what considerate people do.

The ones with the me, me, me... attitude on the other hand.... You seem to embrace this kind of attitude.

And are we to do this, for the rest of eternity? So the vaccinations do not offer protection, nor do we know if we are healthy(as Hoosier wisely put it.) That's a load of crap though, I know what my body was prior to this thing existing and what it is now and honestly: Not that much different.

Thanks for proving my point. Now you have to get tested to know you’re sick. That’s how goofy this has gotten.

Yes, today I will get tested, so that, hopefully, I can go back to the classroom tomorrow with ease of mind, instead of worrying about passing on the virus to my students, and possibly one of them ending up in the hospital due to my negligence. Again, that's what considerate people do. Are you a considerate person? Do you care about the wellbeing of your countrymen?

You wish to live in fear instead of living. I get it. You think you or government can stop a virus which is virtually impossible but hey, at least you can virtue signal.

Stop pretending to care. If you cared, you'd have a serious problem with democrat policies given how much harm they've done. You have been told to care about covid so you do. But when it comes to other things like illegal immigration, you don't seem to care at all when it's done far more harm for a much longer time period than covid. Did you care about how Afghanistan was horribly handled and the people it harmed? Do you care about the left's reckless spending and all the harm it will do? Or, as it appears, do you only care when you're told by the left to care....like with covid.

The left cares when it's politically convenient. Now it's your turn to deflect and say the right does the same.

Do you think it'll go away? Flu has been around awhile despite the flu shot being available. Is there something about covid that will make it temporary?

yep, and occasionally we get a flu variant that is of concern too, I predict things will return back to normal next year

unless we get a more contagious and deadly variant of course, let's hope not

Waiting until you’re not sick, so you don’t infect people is living in fear?
I wonder if people who intentionally spread stds use the same logic.

But my point is that flu has never gone away. Why will covid go away? I just don't see anything definitive that suggests covid will go away. Is there something about the virus itself that leads people to believe it will be temporary?

Yet, you deflect from trump not caring, the topic of the thread, to Democrats not caring. Just a question: Do you think that it was okay for Trump to go to the debate knowing that he was probably contagious? Is that proper behavior in your world view?

As to all of the other issues that you brought up: How do you know I do not care about illegal immigration? Because Fox News is telling you that Dems don't care about it? From what I know, most Dems also do not like illegal immigration, they just disagree with the RW on treating illegal immigrants as human garbage.

many in the hospital would disagree with that statement

but yes, one could be asymptomatic and still spread the virus

So what you're saying is that we almost had a two birds one stone moment ridding us of both of them in the middle of the election and causing a complete upset where new candidates would step in and a free for all occur?

    If only.

Indeed. After he had tested positive, he met with Gold Star Families - and he complained they got too close to him and they infected him. Nope - he was the one doing the infecting. He endangered the lives of others. Whether or not you agree with the dangerous nature of the virus, surely everyone can agree that a person should quarantine when infected so as not to spread the infection.
