More Muslims voted for Trump than Jews did, despite all that he did for the latter.

Of course, gullible white Christians like yourself are too busy voicing your anger at some insignificant Pakistanis down the street….

Good for you on that one. I have let this thread play out for a while before contributing. I don't live in France, but rather, in it's friendly neighbor to the East of it, Germany.

France has been very strict on religious hate-speech, esp hate-speech that damages the Republic.

In France, there has also been a major debate about fully veiled muslim women.

Why the anger? Also, who are these "many"?

Paint with a broad brush much.

Come on, I know you can do better than this.

This is a worthy observation. "Muslim" refers to adherents to Islam, one of the 3 largest monotheistic religions on the planet. And although many Muslims are semitic, many are also African, Asian or even Caucasian.

The most obvious parallel to what is happening in Europe is what Europe did to the Americas. The natives welcomed the European immigrants and the Europeans replaced their culture, their government, their law, their religion, their civilization and made them a minority in their own lands. Many progressives characterize what the Europeans did as genocide.

    According to this academic paper:

Pakistan has shariahin its constitution even if they don't stone people, and they have death penalty for blasphemers and apostasy which make it a totalitarian theocracy.
Democracy isn't antinomic with theocracy or totalitarian governments.

Theocracy is when laws are supposed to come from god. We could obviously see many kind of theocratic laws, and islamic shariah isn't the same as for instance theocracies of Aztecs or Egyptians. But when a significant part of law come from religious text books, it's a theocracy, when laws controle when you're allowed to eat, toward who you are allowed to marry according to their ethnic/religious group (for instance algerian women aren't allowed to marry non muslims), and is ready to kill you for not belonging to an opinion, that's totalitarian.

It's a fair point. We're all clear that ethnic cleansing is a war crime, and Israel has an active policy of doing just that beyond their borders / a foreign civilian is not allowed to live on land that is occupied. It says so in the Geneva Conventions, and we agreed that this is how it is. There are Jews outside Israel who fanatically support this. 10% of the Jews who are illegally living in the West Bank on ethnically cleansed land are American citizens. And we're doing nothing about such recruitments and the money flow that supports these actions.

It is not my opinion how many million people end up voting in Muslim nations, of which 1 rivals the amount of people voting in the US. It is a fact that it happens. It's also a fact that rulers of a lot of Muslim nations inherit governing a country, which makes it a system that is about royals and not religion. I also add, the head of state of the UK is the Queen of England, head of the church of England.... but I'm not splitting peas over it.

And I wouldn't know what you mean with being "nasty" towards Christians. Take for instance the pedophiles in the Christian church who raped children around the globe with impunity for decades on end. The anger against the Christian church has nothing to do with those people being Christians. We would have been just as mad on the IRS if it was the IRS who did that. I also don't recall random Christians being harassed over the fact that the institution that they are praying at supported/accommodated pedophilia. I do recall people harassing Muslims over the fact what some people do in the name of Islam. As a matter of fact, it has been a rather flow of harassment, discrimination and violence to random Muslims on that. Again, I have not seen any Christian being beat up because their church accommodated pedophilia. The difference is utterly massive. Right wingers seem to be flat out unwilling to see the obvious.

“Personal insults”- what are you, 12?!

As to hypocrisy, I only see it from the “Islam is evil” crowd.

    Oh heck no.
    https://www.britannica.com/topic/theocracy
theocracy, government by divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided. In many theocracies, government leaders are members of the clergy, and the state’s legal system is based on religious law.

    https://www.dictionary.com/browse/theocracy
a form of government in which God or a deity is recognized as the supreme civil ruler, the God's or deity's laws being interpreted by the ecclesiastical authorities.

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/theocracy
1: government of a state by immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided
    2: a state governed by a theocracy

I can tell you this, nobody in Jordan or Saudi Arabia is recognizing their royal leaders as members of the clergy. In fact, the leader of Saudi Arabia is at rather odds with the clergy. They get to veto the religious courts often enough while they also have rounded up a bunch of the clergy. While the people voted in Pakistan are also not regarded as members of the clergy, and if they would be,.. it's just a coincidence since they are not ruling out that you can't be both.

That Pakistan pushed through that Sharia law ends up to be how they are going to govern the country, is done through democratic means by the will of the people... and not because of the clergy.

Muslims deny Muslims did that too, since they called those who said they did it in the name of Allah not to comply with their faith.

I support Muslims or anyone wanting to protect their values, traditions, themselves, and their children, from evil, whether that evil is doctrinal/ideas or physical. But calling for the murder of those whom they esteem a threat, is taking a justifiable concern too far. Sternness unto death dismisses conscience and mercy. Knowing right from wrong might make us like God. But it doesn't necessarily give us good judgment. To love God does not make us his avenger. This is why we have a justice system, and why one in extreme circumstance is only allowed to take life in self defense or the defense of another in harms way. It might have been better to arrest the Imam and leave the Mosque open to its members to worship.

Oh I'm sure they would..... Publicly.

However there are pictures from Muslim nations around the world with the people cheering in the streets that day. So please don't tell me they all disavow it
