The grave need to derail this thread is very understandable but by delving into deep Coo-Coo Land? That's seems more like desperation.
    So, see quote below :)>

So one of the folks they've been torturing in solitary confinement for the last year finally cracked and agreed to lie for the investigation. I guess it had to happen eventually when the govt can indefinitely detain citizens as terrorists for political demonstrations.

Bye bye America. It was a good run.

The problem that you (and the government prosecutor) have is that you don't appear to have much evidence to support this claim.

I guess if you discount indictments, you might feel you have a point...

Who says patience doesn't pay off??

After a quick COVID scrub, now we can throw Sinema and Manchin in there together.... along with a single broken pool cue.

Strangely, my money would be on her.....

So these clowns had people waiting to supply them with Weapons to wage war against the US.

    WOW........

Yep, just another peacfull protest where they drank wine and ate scones.

Normally I would say this would be the nail in the coffin to the right wing talking points, but I know better than to expect those on the right to accept facts that go against their feelings.....

    GREAT POST Durandal

As the article notes, sedition is hard to win(and this was long known, about two months in advance actually.). While the indictment speaks of the stack formations, the 'miltarized' formation does not actually lend credence to the sedition charges in of themselves. Prosecutors will have to lean heavily on the "by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States"

But the problem even there, is that of all of the text messages, prosecutors don't have a single indication that was their plan. It's one thing to allege something, it's another thing entirely to actually prove it.

this is the new right wing conspiracy.

They claim to not know who this guy is, yet that he is a FBI plant. They all ask questions about him, and make him out to be some shadow puppet, and the guy actually testified to the J6 comittee and he is a high up in the oath keepers organization.

Just more deflection from the right

New video shows Roger Stone flanked by men wearing insignia of militia group l GMA

The video is raising questions as congressional investigators for former President Trump's impeachment trial determine whether the siege of the Capitol was planned.

Because thats one of the reasons why indefinite detention is bad. Thats one of things its commonly used to do.

Just based on history. Thats one of the things indefinite detention is used for by regimes empowered to do it.

How much of a North Korean regime are we going to be? We should not resign ourselves to being a country of guilt by association. That is, there should actually be A: Proof that Stone is aware that they are militia members, B: Aware of the miltiia members plot and C: Was in approval of said plot.

In 2024, I look forward to voting against the Democrats as the DPPK is not what I or any other American envisioned for our country.

The vests and stuff I imagine. But here's the thing: It's been well over a year, and the DOJ's investigation is ongoing. Given this, if it could have linked Stone or anyone else to the riot(or to the oath keeper stack strategy, etc.) it would have done so. It has not done so. "yet"(let's give the 0.5% chance, because under Garland, this DOJ is more political than William Barr ever made it.)

But nothing in the video disputes Stone's statement that he was outside of his hotel, he never approached the capitol and the "this is going to happen right?" could easily for example pertain to the employment for security(or a host of a number of things.). This reporting by ABC is something Dear Leader Kim would greatly enjoy.

So when is this group getting the label of a terrorist organization? The entire thing just needs to go. Their funding, their social media. Let's get it done.

So these LARPers marched through the Capitol in formation unarmed? OMG! The horror.

Well they claim they had arms waiting outside(now, if they had actually seized these arms, or had any proof(outside of the texts suggesting they should be armed), that would be a strong factor in their case but that's not what the prosecutors presented.

Recalling the AG's little sermon speech, this was clearly designed under political pressure. Now, the funny thing is their claims that Trump was going to do exactly what they're doing now! Political pressure for charges that may or may not fit against their political opponents.

The DPPK-like state of affairs doesn't bode well for confidence for independents or conservatives as far as our equality as citizens under the law is concerned. The AG said he'd have a non political office, he clearly lied.(see: FBI parents debacle.)

I read this elsewhere, but I feel it in my bones:

"This feels like the moment in Captain America: Winter Soldier that the flying aircraft carriers came on line and started targeting everyone.

Only we don’t have the Avengers to fix things. It's just us."

The swamp creatures don't believe in anything but stoking the fire between parties while they all dip into the coffers.

Holding up a bible (buy bull) in front of a church to send his groupies into their fantasy that he stands with them, was just that. He's an atheist. Always has been and that's kind of sad when you think about it. They don't seem to require much in the way of substance so they are easy prey and he's an accomplished white collar criminal.

Its about as close as one can get. The question is...will they be convicted?
