Why the Right and Left hate each other

Just an amazing explication of the political divide! Why liberals and conservatives believe what they do. Whatever your political position is, are these reasons why you hold it:

 

I don't hate the Left, I simply reject their illegitimate attempts to control others.

 

I don't hate the Left either. But I do hate some of the left and Democrats because I hate their early successes in fostering socialism and Marxism, and tangible inroads made in the past decade in taking totalitarian control of the country.

 

I hate videos to make a point.

 

Same here. We are under no obligation to tolerate bossiness.

That's where it started and they made so much money everybody piled on.

 

I usually do too. But that was a pretty good video

 

I can't even watch internet videos so I don't even understand the point. But I oppose the premise. I don't believe republicans and democrats hate each other. They dislike the positions for which their opponents stand. Human nature.

 

I don't hate the right. I hate criminals who abuse poser, incompetence, manipulating elections, ... I hate it when the right does it, and I hate it when the left does it.

It just so happens that lately it's the right that has been most engaged in the above activities.

 

Please define "Marxism" and provide an example of how the left has fostered it?

 

I think the media has played a huge part in this division we are seeing of late. The spreading of misinformation about both sides, delivered by 'journalists' with partisan spin, has made it much easier to inspire 'hatred'.

 

They hate each other because division is the product of politics. Politicians, devoid of good ideas to promote, choose instead to demonize their opponents. Make your opponent Hitler, then you don't have to have anything else to offer beyond "I'm not Hitler".

The parties know that as long as they can keep the people divided against themselves, that the people cannot unite against the parties.

 

Marxism is definitely the ideology of the left. The whole green new deal is nothing but Marxism. All the free money, cdc rule to not boot renters pushed by many democrats, the control of production the democrats pushed during covid, what we have been seeing cheered by the left is likely all things Karl Marx himself would have supported.

Karl Marx was a spoiled brat who couldn’t make it through life without his parents constantly giving him money. He was a free loader. Obviously this mentality led him to support socialism and even go deeper to complete government control of the means of production. The one thing he could never quite figure out was how to control food and manage resources to farmers. Sounds like the current city dwellers in America to me.

His books are interesting to read. While democrats may not be there completely they’re well on their way to alignment even in a religious ideology of Karl Marx. my favorite book on this topic is “Marxism” by Thomas Sowell. Great read. I hope more than I have read this one, it’s well worth it.

 

Its hard not to hate folks that think THEY are entitled to YOUR paycheck

 

As usual for the left it's always about personalities never about policies because they cannot conceive of the possibility that their policies are wrong. So anyone refutes there vapid policies most be evil in their eyes.

 

marxism (with a small m) is pretty much synonymous, though imperfectly, with today's socialism and progressiveism. There are very few who openly proclaim to be Marxists (though about 20% of social studies professors do) but the stuff many proclaim sounds very close to Marx even if they do not understand what classic Marxism is. They expound marxism, wittingly or unwittingly, but call themselves socialists and/or progressives.

 

Recently heard: "The left doesn't seem to understand people and the right doesn't seem to understand life."

 

The question was for a more serious poster whom I expect will have a real answer, and not just talking point bull crap they hear on the radio. But thanks for trying.

 

So what is Marxism?

 

I have read books on Marxism. It’s not a radio show but I understand why you don’t want to be a serious poster yourself being you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about

 

We have different values and want different things.

But that not enough. We could coexist with those differences. What it really comes down to is wanting your ideas implemented as broadly as possible.

It's not enough to have your whole state enact a policy, you've got to force it on everyone. Even in the absence of any externalities.

 

If you read books ON Marxism, that makes it even worse that you don't know what it is and how that relates to the American left today.

So you've read books "on" Marxism, and when asked to explain what it is all you can come up with is "Karl Marx was a spoiled brat..."

If that’s all you read you’re blind. My post obviously contained more than that. You’re right about one thing, you’re hardly worth debating with because you have zero to add at all.
