It’s been almost a year since I’ve worn a mask, how about you?

There are still people who think a silly cloth mask will prevent this?

the silly cloth mask is better than nothing. more better is the surgical mask. best is an n95. "silly " best describes persons who do not take this seriously.

No. Silly describes the person who thinks a swath of cloth wrapped around their face provides protection against covid. If you are really worried about "bringing a deadly disease home" then you don't wear a cloth mask. I suspect you aren't is really worried about that though. You're likely more concerned about toeing the idiotic dem line and signaling your virtue.
A silly cloth mask is absolutely NOT better than nothing. In MANY cases it is worse!

And I have to tell you, I do not take this seriously anymore. My wife and I are both vaxed and have both been infected and overcome it. Me before the shot and her after. Our kids have also already had it. We are no longer concerned. If you are, it's simple - just the f*** away from me.

Hey now, just give it some more time... two years isn't enough... ;) ;) After all, it takes 75 years just to release some documents... ;) ;)

And, as you very well know, it "would've been much worse" had we not worn silly face diapers... ;) ;)

It isn't. Masks do not stop, prevent the spread of, or slow viruses. You can read right on the box that the masks come in that masks do not do this and are not intended to be used for such a purpose. You can also read the engineering specs of the mask and see for yourself that mask pores are far too large to stop viruses that are much much smaller.

EVEN IF I were to grant that masks offer ANY sort of protection, let's even say 100% protection, then that protection ends the moment that the mask doesn't have a perfect seal or is removed, which includes huddling around coworkers (all unmasked) during lunch breaks.

It is absolutely ridiculous to think that wearing a mask is doing anything at all to protect you from getting sick. All that mask wearing does is keep you locked up inside a fear prison of your own making.

Nope. Both of those masks also offer zero protection from viruses. You don't seem to realize just how small viruses are and just how large the pores of such masks are. You also seem to not realize that people don't wear masks with a perfect fit and don't wear them 24/7/365. You also seem to not realize that people don't handle them properly.

Silly best describes people who cling to a mask as if it will somehow protect them from getting sick. Silly best describes people who think that continued submission to nonsensical tyrannical government dictates will somehow return their freedom to them. Silly best describes people who continue to cling onto every word from Joe Biden, the FDA, the CDC, and other government entities which keep doing 180s on all of their positions faster than a person can change their underwear.

:buggered: ~ Lo and behold ! The illustrious CDC has finally been forced to admit there actually is acquired immunity of Covid-19 ...'
What next ... ? I would guess the fact that surgical masking is ineffective at preventing the spread of any viruses and that the mRNA shot is not effective at giving any form of immunity and should be used as a prophylaxis therapeutic - not a "vaccine".

Went to a Phoenix Suns game last night. It said masks were required. As security checked us in we put on our masks, The guy checking us in had his on below his nose. Once inside, over 80% took their masks off. I put my "cloth mask" in my pocket. Who are we trying to appease? Over 14,000 attended and had a great game. Suns are on a roll!

no one ever said there was not, it may not be as good for all the variants as the vaccine, but there is some acquired immunity

if you got the vaccine and get covid, it's like a booster on steroids

Omicron appears to be less deadly and more contagious, this is a good thing if true, as it may give the unvaxxed some immunity

I have UNM Lobos basketball season tickets. It's a bit more strict in the Pit but as long as you're holding a beer you're golden. They don't need to twist my arm.

And people like you think masks would make any significant difference? Nah, even people like you recognize reality. It's just so damn much fun to virtue signal.

it somewhat prevents you from spreading to others, not the other way around

doctors do not wear masks during surgery to protect themselves, it's to protect others

IOW, it does not in any way/shape/form prevent me from spreading a disease that I do not have to other people.

Irrational. Masks are not a "magick one way barrier".

Doctors wear masks during surgery to keep bodily fluids off of them (and to keep the patient's surgical site from getting contaminated). It has NOTHING to do with viruses.

true, but if you have it and do not know it, then it can prevent such spread

imagine if your doctor said, I am fine, so not gonna use a mask during this surgery - you might say, well, just in case... wear it
