If Al Jazerra was still available but now GWTW I remember (uncle) Walter Cronkite's frustration as he reported the latest body count and muttering "if you can believe that". There existed many "news" organizations back then. Today, how many? The question is simply Do You Believe The "news" regarding the Russia / Ukraine war? some, sure much false propaganda from both sides too - no one wants to show their true hand what concerns me more is our media pushing our government for information that would help Russia - Russia may as well of hired them
No, it's news, and war is full of propoganda. One truth, and the only thing that matters, is that Russia is the instigator.
Was three TV news stations. ABC, NBC and CBS. No cable during Walters time. Today I wouldn’t claim any to be real news. Abc, nbc, cbs, cnn, msnbc, pbs, Fox, are more propaganda than news. Newsy and OAN are more centrist but still have agendas.
Not in the least. Where I live they're dumbing it down (as they do with anything which might frighten the horses, these days) beyond belief. Discussing the thing itself in a remote sort of way, and not even touching the ramifications.
There's one Greek non MSM site that seems to be more up to date on what's going on in Ukraine - and then there's Moon of Alabama. They're good at debunking things. 1 - Kiev is surrounded on all sides. 2 - Kharkov's Nazis are using the people as human shields. 3 - Kherson has been taken and on to Odessa. 4 - Mariopol is a problem, since Azov might start an exterminations campaign against the civilians.
Some other bits and pieces. Russia has signed a contract with China to start plans for a gas pipeline that will transfer gas to China through Mongolia from the fields that now supply Europe.
How I long for the days of Cronkite. Heres the news. No bias or added commentators. Just the facts for you to decide for yourself. Everything now is a bias reality show. With bias print right behind.
I would guess that Al Jazeera is your safest bet on true info. It's not as if those people care who wins... as far as I know. But other then that.... It's like hearing Bagdad Bob saying there are no tanks in Bagdad while GWB claims they are about to find evidence of WMD's. Reddit is bombarded with cute vids of local farmers confiscating some tank and all of that. It make it seem that the Russians are totally loosing. While there is a freaking 45 mile long slow moving traffic jam towards Kyiv of tanks, supplies and what not.... showing there is no way Ukraine will pull through. As far as I can tell, that Ukraine is going to sell their hide at a high price with losing. And than what? Who with what army is going to take controle of Ukraine to keep it like that? Russia can't finance them 100,000 to 150,000 troops there for ever. Sure. There probably is some local nutcase who would like to lead in Ukraine, but him and what army? It'll be Afghanistan all over. Them Afghans didn't want any cultural change, and accept a government that goes with no cultural change . The US tried for 20 years for nothing, besides massacring around. And this will be a copy-past scenario in Ukraine.
I believe some of the news coming out of the Ukraine and some of the news coming out of Russia...... Generally I believe that the Ukranians are a better source of news and I think that Putin has made a colossal error..... but on the plus side....... this could expose the corruption of Hunter Biden even faster which could be a major win for most Americans...... and for the whole world if this leads to Biden being either impeached or indicted......
