US officials say Russia has asked China for military help in Ukraine

    Brazil is hesitant....to either say yes or no....too heavy a trade and financial commitments with USA....China would screw over Russia anytime....it's a relationship of convenience.

    India has long standing ties to Russia that it won't break quickly or easily. That includes military ties & military kit.

    The burgeoning alliance with the US is fairly new, and the US does have a history of backing India's opponents.

    India will not support Putin, which is all that is needed for now.

    True....Bolsonaro in Brazil is on somewhat shaky ground at the moment ....this whole covid thing really hit hard in Brazil.

    Don't overlook the possibility that the invasion of Ukraine was due to Chinese "intelligence" influencing Putin.

    It's very possible that China is using Russia as a test for their possible entrance into their own military incursions.

    They are busily building their own global financial system. The reasons for that should concern the entire globe.

    Dimon, close the topic, don't be ashamed, the Chinese are not aware of this information) In general, there are so many soldiers on the border of the Russian Federation that they can capture Ukraine a couple more times

    And no, all the forces Russia built up are already inside - Russia is trying to build a second wave, but we all know that their quality will be even worse than what’s already there. :lol:

    No, some of these processes already started under Trump. Dems rolled some back, but if China makes a wrong move, they’ll probably change their mind.

    Americans are very supportive of Ukraine. For example: I was at an Andre Rieu concert last night (probably around 15K people) and a guy holding a Ukrainian flag got a standing ovation when the cameras zoomed in on him.

Say, if you have a membership to the Financial Times, of your link, I'd be interested in knowing more about this, than just the title of the article.     If US put sanctions on China same kind they put on Russia, US will finish as a third world country for sure. China may do whatever they want, and US has no balls in this case.

    What is in it for China? Russians and Ukrainians are not Han Chinese, so they really don’t care at all. The only thing they might do is imbed officers and senior NCO’s to get some war fighting experience, but given what is going on, it’s not all champaign and pom-poms and adds to the narrative that Taiwanese might resist instead of roll over like Hong Kong.
    Lastly, China doesn’t want to wake up the dopamine generation in the USA and have them go all “nationalist” and stuff.

    I just heard a report, about the OP's link (which can't be read, for free), saying that the things that the Financial Times claims has been requested from China, are:

    surface- to- air missiles
    armored vehicles
    drones.

    The Chinese, according to the report, are favorably disposed toward providing these things. I have also heard, separately, that Russia & China are pushing back on this report.

    Some diplomat, in Rome, is threatening severe "consequences," for China, if they help out Russia, but I don't think anything specific was mentioned.

    drones, china have alot drones, small to large and many middle easterner country operate it. also china military electronic is better than russia. Other than US, china would be the 2nd in drone operation/expertise.
    in a city envir. russia need 24/7 coverage over sky with various drones. for intel or attack, china have both.
