    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...nated-as-one-of-usa-todays-women-of-the-year/

Dr. Rachel Levine, the transgender assistant secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), has been named one of USA TODAY’s “Women of the Year.”

The nomination places Levine on a list of honorees that includes Melinda French Gates, Simone Biles, and Vice President Kamala Harris, amongst others.

The news outlet set out the criteria for nomination alongside publication of the list:

USA TODAY’s Women of the Year lead and inspire, promote and fight for equity, give other
s a place to seek help and find hope.

They are strong and resilient women who have been champions of change and courage, often quietly, but with powerful results.

When as a child I read the fable about the Emperor Has No Clothes, it seemed pretty far fetched.

Like Winston was told in 1984. When asked what two plus two equals, you not only have to give the answer as five - you have to truly believe the answer is five.

When trans hysteria has extinguished all possible sources to fuel its extremism what will radical progs move on to next?

Something related to destroying the family and further targeting of children. The nuclear family is already largely destroyed.

I cannot think of one action taken by Levine that in any way qualifies him for a woman of the year award.

I just read a story about a policewoman who hit a car head on at high speed to stop the car, which had crashed through multiple rode closure signs, from running over multiple runners in a 10K race. She put her life on the line to save others. Now that is the sort of thing that should result in a woman of the year award. But no. We have to give the award to someone whose only accomplishment was being nominated for a bureaucratic job.

I can't have children either, I had the works removed 20 years ago due to cancer. Are you saying I'm not a woman anymore?

I find it best to refrain from commenting on things that I don't understand. That's my advice to you, and just about every other man posting on this thread.

Isn't this the same dude who helped kill a bunch of nursing home patients in Pennsylvania?

I think he's trying to say that you're much more of an actual woman than everyone who was born with a penis.

"You're a man, so you shouldn't talk about this" is not a very compelling argument.

People tend to criticize things they don't understand.
I THINK I get what the transgender folks want, to be accepted like everyone else. There is a problem, however, when there is something that is traditional divided by sex (sports and other categories) where there is a distinct advantage for one or the other. "Women of the year" implies that it is women. Just because I identify as a woman doesn't make me a woman.
I don't like that Rachel Levine got this because she's transgender, not for great works on her part. By choosing her, someone else gets overlooked who may have been more deserving because of their actions.

There are 165 million women in this country and the best woman woke liberals can find is a man.

I have a thread in the Opinion section, "What is a woman".

All I can get from the left is a woman is whatever someone wants to believe is a woman which means no one is woman if everyone can be a woman. And since I bet USA Today does no have a Man of the Year maybe the Woman of the Year should be open to all males too.

Why don't they have a Man of the Year and he can apply for that?

I can't disagree with you on your post, but that said, it doesn't seem that important, and it is USA Today's award, their choice.

I understand the conflict about the bathroom use and the issue of sports, but the issue doesn't need too much attention, just where it is needed.

I agree that it isn't an issue (at least this example) that should inspire a lot of outrage. As you aptly pointed out, their award, their choice.

Lovely. The only thing defining a woman is the ability to produce a child?

Not one of your better posts, I hope.

I’m sure being a woke rag the USA Today will choose the dude over the women. It’s what wokism is about.

Things only matter if they inspire a lot of outrage?

It's a reflection of the absurdity of the times.
