The truly sad thing is those letter delivered are pre printed and tells them he died for the glory of the country, the leader and what a hero he is and that he got a post recommendation or medal.

I had to wright those letters, I do not know his family, seen his wife and kids, I just know him as a soldier, but soldiers is a different world.
I wrote those letter, by hand, fountain pen, generic, just get the job done, just a piece of paper. Its different if you walk up and carry your man and the family is there, than your words have a meaning.

Err no. You can't sell what you can't deliver. And you can't push more oil through a pipeline than that pipeline is designed to handle.

There is only a limited number of pipelines connecting China to Russian oil. And those pipelines would be operating at or near maximum already. So to deliver more oil & gas Russia has to either build more pipelines or access more tankers and there's not much spare capacity in that market at the moment either. Certainly no-where near enough spare tonnage to take more than a small % of the sales lost via the West's embargo (and that's even assuming Russia would be allowed to hire all available tankers for the trade. Which isn't going to happen either).

Prior to the start of the war Russia sold aprox 2/3s of its oil to countries that currently support the sanctions. At the same time the Russian government derived something like 30% of its revenue from oil and gas sales. Result? the Russia has taken a 20% hit to its budget before you even start considering the impacts of all the other sanctions on key industries like aluminum etc.

So unless dear old Vlad is proposing to hire unemployed Russians (he'll have plenty to choose from shortly) to carry oil drums to India and Pakistan he (and Russia) are **** out of luck. It will take years to build the infrastructure needed to replace western sales. Not forever but several years at least.

And every week the sanctions stay in place the more the screws tighten.

Ho-ho! What successes would that be? I've been all over the east and even Belarus has had more successes than Ukraine. In my experience/opinion Ukraine has only been more successful than Transdniester. All other countries in former East Europe are light years more successful than Ukraine.
