No clue what you are trying to say .. That military is expansive does not negate the threat from US putting ABM's on Russia's border.

Don't worry, the Russians will find a way to get their missiles anywhere in the world. For example, the Russians have the Avangard, which differs in the most serious way from the existing ICBMs and has a number of important advantages over them. This is the ability to fly to targets in an increased range of ranges, increased hitting accuracy, etc. For the means of defense of a potential enemy, the Avangard combat unit is invulnerable. It is difficult to detect and track, and an effective attack using modern missile defense or air defense systems is completely excluded.

You realize that the 125 plus precision attacks on Ukraine's military installations and warehouses a few days back came from ships located in the Caspian Sea as well as the Black Sea? From the start of the war Russia has destroyed 2 thousand military targets and supply centers, since that was its agenda as well as encircling Ukraine's army and cutting off its supplies.

Right now a Ukrainian army of 60 thousand is trapped in a cauldron - so it's only a matter of time. Where Russia has a problem is that its Nazi forces have embedded themselves in with the civilians as protection from Russian attacks - knowing of course that the Russians unlike them are Christians and civilized, and will do everything possible to avoid civilian deaths.

This is the most important news in the last 50 years. If there is no retreat, then we can send a funeral wreath for the FRS.

It's not curious at all. Every time a Ukrainian switch sides, they call him Russian even if it's a red-blooded Ukrainian. That peace negotiator that shot was a Ukrainian that thought some concessions were reasonable.

I think Putin has to get it all. It's not like the US and NATO are leaving him any other options, because they've set the stakes so high already. If Russia loses 100,000 men and takes Ukraine, US power and influence suffers a catastrophic hit. These sanctions are hurting average Americans and Europeans. Not just Russians. They prepared for sanctions. Now, all our enemies smell blood in the water. China has already helped Russia, so I expect it to continue. Thy are salivating right now.

Do not worry. The Russians are fine. Myths about "unprecedented losses" of Russians are just myths. Read different opinions and draw your own conclusions. For example, read the article at the link in the post.
All the same, a professional military man and a former CIA officer answers questions. I hope you understand that a professional intelligence officer knows more than any media person or commentator on this forum.

Sometimes it is necessary to show a member to an opponent so that the opponent understands that in case of problems, this member will fall on his head.

Much like our use of the atomic weapons on Japan, the hypersonic attribute of the weapon means exactly nothing in this particular conflict. Russia does just fine pummeling everything with conventional weapons in Ukraine (as America did to Japan before the atomic weapons and before Stalin declared war on Japan to actually end the war). Though much like Stalingrad for the Nazis in WWII, rubbling everything doesn't really secure their victory either. Where are Russia's smart generals? Using WWII tactics as if they hadn't learned the lessons of WWII.

If he exists, he's obviously just spreading pro-Russia propaganda because its quite clear his analysis was wrong. American experts also predicted Kiev would fall in 3 days. Clearly something has been missed in evaluating this conflict.

Correct - which is a threat to Russia - hence the whole point of the ABM treaty - of which in blissful bliss you may not be aware.

So what? A professional scout talks about the event - what's wrong?. At least he is more credible than Whoopi Goldberg, who talks about military strategy and special operations tactics. Is not it?

This means nothing. For example, the Russians were the first to fly into space, now the Americans are flying into space. Or the Russians first created nuclear power plants, now the Americans also have nuclear power plants.

I don't see anyone here relying on Whoopi Goldberg's analysis or linking to her blog and calling it an "American news site."

Ukraine could use some (more) ABM right about now.

So the Russians are trying to avoid civilian casualties ? Bombing, shelling and rocketing hospitals, apartment buildings and theaters from day 1 shows what savage barbarians Putin and his cohorts truly are. This is a fact. Claiming otherwise is simply repeating Russian lies and propaganda.

I sincerely hope the Ukraine continues to exact the high price in blood that they have already extracted and even more in the coming weeks. That is, until Russia gives up this barbaric adventure. Russia's leaders need to be made to suffer as the Ukrainians are suffering now. Sadly, this may not happen in our lifetimes.
Sad too that ordinary Russians will pay the price in the coming weeks and months for the brutality and insanity of their leaders. This is not something that will pass quickly. Russia will be reduced to a 3rd world country. All for the stupidity and brutality of it's leaders.

Sir, you have created a hilarious online character, and mimicked the outrageous and fantasy- driven dysinformation and propaganda style designed to manipulate targeted online populations very very well. I admire good parody and this is it!. This is perfect for a certain kind of foreign mass produced post that political forums and social media sites have been inundated with since 2015.

I see it as a message, and an obvious one. The last thing Russians are is liberators, and not even the Russian Ukrainians want them.

You have it bass ackwards, Putin has already suffered a devastating hit. And if the West can match Russian supply levels, he is totally screwed.

He wasn't prepared for the sanctions we layed on him. The power of those combined sanctions startled everyone that I know of, and that includes economists.

Which is why he is going to be using poison gas soon, maybe nukes as well.

Btw, this keeps getting closer to escalating beyond Ukraines borders. To put it mildly, this would not be good.

lol... given expectations, anything less than taking Kiev in a week is a failure for Russia. Already there. The US predicted it would fall in 3 days and it didn't. Really funny to say US power is determined by the fate of Ukraine. Eventual success in Ukraine does threaten global peace though, as it would show a powerful country can still swallow a smaller one just like in the old colonial days. If sanctions continue indefinitely, Russia can survive, but then the question would be if it was worth the cost. Ukraine honestly wasn't that much of a threat to Russia, except if it had joined NATO that would have threatened any expansionist dreams of Putin. NATO was not going to go in and take over a peaceful Russia. The issue is that Putin wants more.

Ukraine has to be careful give Russia access to a nice looking little off- ramp and freeway that takes Putin and his administration some sort of 'victory', and that is what Zelensky's chief job will be. Every time Putin drives by the exit that was built for him, Zelensky has to have another one a few miles right down the highway. Its actually tricky business because its got to look very appealing, very scenic to Russians people as they drive along for miles and miles taking them deep into 'Gods country' and still be as close to a total dead end as possible.
