    Don't think Russia will be sending any ICBM's Ukraines way any time soon mate ... but, if such an absurd thing were to happen, Russia would take out the ABMs with short range nuclear cruise missiles first ..

    Nothing good would come of putting ABM's on Ukrainian soil -- that's what started this war... ding ding ding :) .. or are you one of those folks who is pro War - in favor Russia invading Ukraine - in which case your comments make perfect sense..

    Some versions of S-300 are ABMs. Russia doesn’t use ICBMs against Ukraine, but it does use Iskanders, which are short-range ballistic missiles. ;)
    Ukraine already does have ABMs. :lol:

    If anything has been learned from this War, it's that Russia can never be trusted again, Their Army is a mess and in a conventional War against the United States, we'd STOMP! the Dog crap out of them just like we did to Iraq. If they decided to go Nuclear, we'd see them fueling up their ICBM's for an hour, while our Solid rocket booster ICBM's would be ready immediately and by the time they would be ready to launch, they'd already be glowing in the dark from the Nuclear Holocaust we unleashed upon them, the only problem would be whether or not Sleepy Joe would F around putting on his Diapers for an hour, giving them time to launch against us.

    They don't use short range ballistics either - but talking ABM's for ICBMs .. Russia don't care much about short range missile defense ... not one of the things that started the mess.

    Did all the effective Russian Propaganda script writers quit? I am sure they did when their checks bounced.

    Having to come up with your own material doesn’t seem to be a good strategy.

    Yeah. Similar concepts. It’s one of the major downsides to nationalist policies. But seeing as how a ruling party in Russia has been using nationalist rhetoric for years it doesn’t surprise its so much worse in Russia.

    If the OP is correct, then we should see the end of this war very soon, how about this Sunday or next Monday morning at the latest?
    If this won't be the case, then it should be rather clear that the OP was utter bollocks (as almost always when the gaspasser of delusions opens up). That article is an opinion piece, nothing else. Needless to say, the propagandist is trying to sell it as fact - what a surprise.
    The way things are going atm, Ukraine seems to be far away from being defeated.

    Quick question about these hypersonic missiles: how well do they track over mountains? Can mountains be used to blunt their effect, by, say, a carrier shielded by a particularly formidable mountain range?

    The "hypersonic" missile the Soviets Russians are so breathlessly braying about is an air-launched version of the 9K720 Iskander surface to surface missile. It's hypersonic in the sense that every ballistic missile is hypersonic, but has no fancy evasion tech. BTW, the GAM-87 Skybolt, built in 1962, did what the Russian Kh-47M2 Kinzhal does, at Mach 12, but did it 55 years earlier... whistle_zpse7930712.gif
