Obviously I'm concerned about our carrier vulnerability to these. We learned in WWII that the battleship was eclipsed by the carrier. Let's not learn the hard way during this conflict that the carrier is eclipsed by the cruise or hypersonic missiles. I was wondering if the safest place to have our carriers would be west of Norway around Bergen, or on the other side of the mountains in the Adriatic.

So the neo Nazis embedding themselves in the civilian population in Mariupol and Zelensky telling them not to surrender until the city is destroyed for its propaganda value is not to blame? Interesting!

Out of 14 thousand Nazi troops, only half remain. If any of them escape, then I recommend Zalentsky watch his back. An angry Nazi is not something to be scoffed at.

The war has ended because Russia has cut off all the supply routes - and armies cannot exist without supplies. The mop up will take some time though since the Nazis are embedded in the inner cities and hiding among the civilian populations.

Here is one of Azov's 'Glory to Ukraine' heroes dressed as a woman to escape. They can be easily identified by their Nazi tatoos.

    LoL, at your fantasy--

Ukraine is actually retaking ground from the Russians, who have now dug in, for the long term.

This invasion has been an unmitigated disaster, for Putin. Anyone who sees it, or depicts it, more positively than a Russian debacle, is either clueless, or a shill for Putin, whose days-- because of his unwillingness to accept the unpleasant truth-- are beginning to look as if they may be numbered.

But enjoy the ride, along with with your increasingly desperate despot-- while it lasts.

Thanks for the official Kremlin line.

Problem is, that once you "take" a city - you have to hold it - and as others have found out, that's a whole different ball game. The Kremlin will
have to shell out billions of rubles to hold the city and thousands of Russian soldiers will die in the process. It's just a big stain
on the Kremlin and Putin - so sad.

To what Nazis or neo Nazis do you refer ? I see cowardly Russians shooting at civilians because they are taking heavy casualties from the military units they encounter.

I got a laugh out of that, Comrade.

If your beloved Russians really wanted to avoid civilian deaths, they would withdraw their incompetent, third-rate army from Ukraine.

Well, Russia has 40 thousand applicants for volunteers from Syria and other nations in the Middle East, so I'm sure they'll be able to handle it.

I'd be more worried about our economy, and more so with the sanction stupidities and what they're doing to the EU. I doubt it will survive.

So you're going to set up a new government in the Ukraine using mercenaries from the Middle-East ...
Oh my god! That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Sure let's get people with the most disorganized forms of government to patrol setting
up a new government .... gods, that's just so precious.

Now, now. If Eva...says Put-Put has it under control, we should mind our manners and try not to lol (at least not openly).

Face it, the White House is either acting very stupidly or half-heartedly. What they are doing now is not going to protect Ukraine.

It's a massive deception if the news media is making people think Ukraine has a chance of winning against Russia. It will slow them down, yes. But the White House is simply not engaging in the more all out measures that would be required to prevent the Russians from winning.

The question is, what are people like you going to think if and when Ukraine loses?
Well? Will it just be another "Afghanistan" moment for you?
Will you start questioning the picture the news is showing you? Will you learn any lessons?

So, this thread is total Russian propaganda but I won't cast a stone because I'm convinced that the Western media coverage of the war in Ukraine is propaganda. And, maybe, Ukraine's winning is a complete falsehood. I mean if it can happen to Russians then it can happen to anyone else as well. In any country.

I absolutely anticipated it. there was nothing anyone could do once the Russian military invades its next door neighbor. its got a huge shared border and a huge weapon and soldier advantage. The steps we are taking, has more to do with making this cost Putin a hell of a lot of money, weaponry and soldiers that will be impossible to rebuilt on a weakened economy, and political stature while simultaniously trying to hold onto Ukraine and fight the resistance. The best we can hope for is that Putin starts looking for an off ramp because these losses are too high to sell politicaly and Zelensky provides him one that protects an independent Democratic Ukraine , without a puppet replacement.

We cannot and should not risk any direct conflict with Russia for a non NATO member because Europe cannot be the sacrificial lamb to placate people like you who are doing nothing but bitching and moaning for partisan gain.

I agree, I don't trust it either. Western Media is going way overboard in its coverage of Zelensky as a saint and Ukraine as the greatest defenders of honor since Masada. Its not their job to be cheerleaders.

You mean end up getting Ukraine's infrastructure completely destroyed and it will not be as big of a prize to Putin.

But what cost will that have to the people in Ukraine, when half their cities are rubble.

Should mean full employment as people go to work to rebuild it, at least.

I mean that there is nothing we can do, that we already aren't, unless we are prepared to engage Russia directly and that risks a lot more cities in Rubble than you want to discuss.

Btw, the war hasn't ended yet.

Larry Johnson is a master of misinformation.
He became famous for a hoax about Michelle Obama in 2008.

Then, the comparison with Syria is not the best possible for Russia: we could remind how Russians fought at Aleppo [the difference is that in Syria Russians were substantially fighting on our side]. There is who says that Russians committed war crimes during the bombing campaign of Aleppo [https://www.hrw.org/news/2016/12/01/russia/syria-war-crimes-month-bombing-aleppo]. To say all, there is who is wondering if Russians are following a Syrian strategy in Ukraine as well.

Even Ukrainian propagandists agree that the Russians control 40% of Ukraine's territory. By the way, Mariupol has been controlled by the Russians for a long time. There is a factory where Ukrainian fascists have taken hostages from the civilian population and are trying to survive hiding behind them.
Nobody is in a hurry to take Kyiv. What for? Ukrainian fascists will soon surrender themselves. It makes no sense to storm the big city.
If the Russians needed Kyiv, then they could capture it within half an hour, inflicting a real bombing strike.
But don't worry about the Russians. Everything goes according to plan. And even the US military (a lot of adequate military in the US) recognizes this. (For example, Colonel Douglas McGregor, former Senior Advisor to the US Secretary of Defense.)
