Twitter shouldn't exist. I wish social media could be banned across the board without violating the 1st amendment.
I think moderate lefties pulling back from extreme leftism are definately afraid to speak their minds. Yes, true.
I'm openly woke. I don't believe trans women who transition after puberty should be allowed to compete in women's sports. I say it all the time. No fear here.
Well that'll be interesting. I guess we'll see if he's as much of a 'free speech absolutist' as he claims. ...I guess if he changes things up enough I might have to finally get on there.
The problem with people in the public eye isn't just those trying to cancel them. It's also people on the other side of the political spectrum using their words as a weapon against wokeism, and it puts them in a bind. Everyone is just interested in fighting. It's not anti-trans to have an opinion about women's sports, but people who think a trans woman should use the men's restroom will take something that was said about a specific issue such as sports and use it to justify their bigoted position on things like bathrooms. It is the extremists on both sides that are the problem. Everything is a weapon either for them to use or to be used against them. Half of the right and half of the left act like teenage drama queens about everything.
Oh trust me, I don't want you at my parties, you'd likely get offended and call the police because we were saying mean things as jokes. https://thehill.com/hilltv/rising/4...nned-from-twitter-says-platform-is-setting-a/ "Murphy was banned from Twitter after challenging views supporting transgender individuals, and posting tweets saying “men aren’t women.”" https://thepostmillennial.com/calif...anned-from-twitter-for-saying-women-arent-men "A California Court of Appeals has ruled against feminist activist Meghan Murphy, who launched a lawsuit against Twitter after she was permanently banned from their platform for declaring "women aren't men," Reclaim the Net reports." You holding such views makes you practically Hitler, and or Jordan Pettersen...
yea, trying to phrase an opinion in the most offensive way possible, isn't trying to have a discussion. That person wasn't banned for their opinion, they were being intentionally offensive.
Being woke and unoffendable do not go hand in hand. But you WOULD get banned off of twitter and depending on your popularity, you would get cancelled and labelled alt right. Sorry. Your team sucks.
Why don't they? I am impossible to offend. I am not an *******, and go out of my way to not offend people. Those actually go together quite well for me, you should try it.
Yea, policing language is called moderation. It exists here too. If you don't like the way a forum is moderated, you are welcome to go elsewhere. Twitter isn't a public utility.
I don't run twitter, i didn't ban her. Saying "men aren't women" doesn't really say anything though. it was just an attempt to get a rise out of someone. Apparently it worked.
It's not offensive to me. I am not the person who banned them from twitter, why are you asking me to justify it? It doesn't really say anything though, and it was just an attempt to get a rise out of people. Like i said before.
I'm asking you specifically because you declared this statement of fact as how did you put it? Stating something in the most offensive way possible..? So how the hell is that statement of fact the "most offensive way possible" to say that statement?
It was indented to offend. I should stop posting though, i had already post deleted because it was offensive. meme away.
Disruption is good, as long as it doesn't "truly" harm people. I cannot see how Twitter can harm people.
Oh for crying out loud man. You made a statement I don't understand. I do not understand how making the claim "Men are not women" is deeply offensive or as you put it, THE WORST possible way of stating such things. You don't get to back out of explaining that claim. Back up what the hell makes that so deeply offensive or "the worst way" of stating such things. Back it up. Because I just don't get it. It should not warrant a perma ban on twitter. You seem to think it does?
Wrong smong. I personally think twitter took a turn for the worse when they started basically selling out to hollywood first with coordinated programming hashtags and then by executing conservatives in the public square for often saying things no different than left leaders were other than the name attached to their hate who went unpunished. I personally think that social media is ripe for someone like microsoft to build a user customizable site that integrates all of the dopamine fixes that can be had----tweets/FB/youtubes/games/news/utilities. MFST won't however because Gates has checked out for good, they are still very mindful of anti-trust allegations against them, and they have that crazy pay system that requires both existing talent to fight to the death and the actual coders to flee in record numbers (they pay new hires much more than existing employees)
It was intended to get a rise out of someone. There isn’t any other reason to say “men aren’t women”. I don’t have to do anything BTW.
