So, the content of the OP to this thread was (shock, I say!) a lie. A fabrication. Quite literally FAKE NEWS.

Disagree. Todays Russian propaganda is much smarter that propaganda of the Soviet Union. Communist propaganda was really stupid because they were confined to communist ideology. Todays Russian propaganda doesn't have any limitation, they try to be effective. When you have only one source of information you see the world only one way.
In the US if you trust only Fox News or only MSNBC/CNN you start to believe if different realities.

Of course the Ukrainians found out. And so the Ukrainians are surrendering by the thousands captured.

If Russian nuclear weapons explode in their bunkers, then planet Earth will cease to exist. I don't think it will help you.
And as everyone knows, the Russians will go to heaven, but their enemies will simply die.

I'll say more. The vast majority of Russians (approximately 75-78%) are ready for a nuclear war even today.
They have nothing to fear. They know that the Russians will go to heaven, but their enemies will simply die.

The Russians are fine. They have enough soldiers and guns. Just like nuclear missiles are enough. Don't worry about the Russians.

The Russian economy is also doing well. To verify this, you just need to look at the exchange rates.
The ruble is stabilizing if you didn't know. Inflation has slightly increased, it is true, but now the Central Bank has taken a number of measures that have already stopped the growth of inflation.
The fact is that Russia is 100% self-sufficient country.
By the way, with the departure of foreign companies, Russia began to develop its own production. And these are new jobs, wage growth and the growth of the welfare of society.
If you are really interested in what is happening in Russia, then ask. I will answer as is.

Very funny! It reminds me a joke:
In Soviet Union there was a lecture how good it is in the Soviet Union.
Any questions? – asks the lecturer?
Yes, I have a question – ask someone. Why in the Soviets Union there is no enough meat?
The lecturer looks on the watch and saying:
Sorry we have no time, I will answer to this question in the next lecture. What is your name?
    Volodya.

The next day there is another lecture.
Any questions? – asks the lecturer.
Yes, I have two questions – someone asks.
One – why in the Soviets Union there is no enough meat?
Two - what happened to Volodya?

It's going to take time. But if Putin stays in power, and is bogged down in a never-ending war
in Eastern Ukraine, then Russia is going to suffer tremendously.
Russians wanted three things in Putin
    1 - stability
    2 - power
    3 - prosperity

Putin is going to lose all three.

    1 - Russia isn't feared anymore.
(one cartoon I saw today showed a Ukrainian farmer pulling that missile cruiser out of the Black Sea with his tractor.)
2 - Russia is not powerful anymore (We Aussies have a similar GDP with 25 million people)
3 - Russian isn't prosperous (We Australians GET twice as much in US dollars ON A PENSION as a Russian doctor or engineer earn)

and please don't judge Russia by its Ruble - it's artificially held up, as it was during the Cold War.

At least Medvedev, 'Putin's poodle' prime minister put it honesty.
He saw a Russia stretching from Vladivostok to Lisbon.
The way it's going Russia could lose Georgia and Belarus.

No aggressor ever had enough soldiers and arms to defeat a community who's fighting for survival.

Enough for what? If Comrade P00tin fires only one single Nuke into NATO territory, his stinking shithole country is gone forever.

He knows that, believe me. Therefore Comrade Pootin only mess with militarily weaker ones, e.g. the small Ukraine. But the Russkie dictator didn't take into account, that Ukrainians are superior fighters, compared to the cannon fodder trash he has sent into Ukraine to die there. :D

I don't. Orcs get always what they deserve.

So what? Now they are producing. It took two days to restore the production of nails. The question is closed. Also on all other issues - a little time will pass and there will be no problems.
iPhones are made in China. Just like Tesla. So what?

    1. The exchange rate of the ruble is indeed kept artificially. In fact, the ruble exchange rate should be several times higher. But the Central Bank of Russia is holding back the growth of the ruble due to some benefits for exporters.
Buddet Russia is in surplus. Russia sells much more goods than it buys.
Now there is a paradoxical situation. Russia has an excess of foreign currency. Moreover, there is a big surplus. I do not know how the state will manage the excess currency, but this is a real problem.
I know that now the Russians are lending to many countries, but foreign exchange earnings continue to go.
This is at the exchange rate.
    2. Regarding production. Now an industrial boom is really brewing in Russia. Many new businesses are being built across the country. As I wrote above, with the departure of foreign companies, it is now very profitable to produce in Russia. There is little competition, and the state is very willing to invest in the development of various sectors of the economy (soft loans, exemption from part of income taxes, exemption of capital from taxes if income is used to expand production ... and a bunch of different benefits)
    3. Believe it or not, but now there has been a consolidation of society in Russia (see Putin's rating, for example). The special operation in Ukraine is supported by the vast majority of society. About 80% of the society. There are those who believe that the Russian Armed Forces are behaving very softly towards the Ukrainian fascists.
In general, I can safely say that modern Russia now has the highest stability over the past 30 years.
Especially considering the fact that the standard of living in Russia has not fallen. And some significant goods even fell in price (for example, gasoline)
    4. With regard to salaries, which in your opinion are lower in Russia than in Australia.
I recently wrote to you that considering salaries in absolute terms is ignorance.
Wages, like the level of living, must be considered at purchasing power parity.
I don't know the prices for goods in Australia, but so that you can compare, I will give some examples.
Gasoline in Russia - 0.5 US dollars / liter.
Utility payments for a two-room apartment (all utility bills - gas, heating, electricity, payment for current and major repairs, payment for water supply and sewerage .... etc.) - 50 US dollars per month.
Unlimited Internet at a speed of 1 GB / sec - 10 US dollars per month.
In addition, consider the fact that wages in Russia are taxed (income tax) - 13%. There are no other payroll taxes.
Health insurance is free not only for a working person, but also for an unemployed person.
    Secondary education is free.
Higher education - if you passed the entrance exams well - for free, if you did not pass the entrance exams very well, but want to get an education - on a paid basis.
You can compare with what is happening in Australia.

Don't write nonsense. The President of Belarus said that Russia, Belarus and Ukraine will soon create a single state.
I think that around this association will grow new members from the former republics of the USSR.
By the way, Georgia, despite the huge pressure from the United States, refused to support sanctions against Russia.
As for "from Vladivostok to Lisbon", this is a possible option in the future. But I do not think that it will be a single superstate, rather it will be a kind of association of independent states, but having a common political and economic platform. In any case, it won't be soon. Maybe after the World War. When resources are paramount.
If a nuclear war can be avoided, then the process "from Vladivostok to Lisbon" will take a lot of time.

Don't fool yourself. If Putin erases any country, not a single NATO member will even peep.
Let's imagine - the Russians erased Britain. So what? Do you think the US will fire missiles at Russia? Or will France fire missiles at Russia? Maybe Germany will send tank columns towards Moscow?
    Nobody even chirps.
No, of course they will all express dissatisfaction, they will scream threats in words, puff out their cheeks .... but in a military sense, no one will even utter a peep.
    And this is reality.
If the United States could launch a missile attack on Russia with impunity, they would have done it long ago. But nothing happens with impunity.
And since the decision is made by the ruling class, doesn’t give a damn about its population or the population of any other country, but the ruling class clearly understands that in the event of a rocket duel, the ruling class will turn into a pumpkin just like an ordinary homeless and unemployed person. And no bomb shelters will save.
Therefore, do not deceive yourself and do not puff out your cheeks.

You want to scare us of Putin? LOL! That's ridiculous, after he failed so pathetically in that little country called Ukraine.

Your P00tin isn't a boss of any kind. He's a dirty, mo'fuXXing little gangster of subhuman descent, trying to overcome a western country.

Putin's just a criminal, not a great conqueror, and he'll pay for his crimes.:)

Then all of them fire Nukes at the Russkie shithole as a response. Your commander P00tin knows that too, but I don't doubt that he'll put all Russkie beings on the line.
independently of that, it's never an option to dodge a threat.
Comrade Putin will always lose. :)

The more your country morphs into the next Nazi aggressor, the higher the risk that it will one day be treated similarly to how it is treating Ukraine now.

I guess Purveyor's idea of self-sufficiency is relying on China and a few others to buy Russian energy and minerals at a steep discount and supply them with basically everything they need, including simple nails :D
