well… we can call this a victory for the kids. This is an update to an earlier post I made in which she was put on leave. Turns out she turned in her resignation and to that’s an admittance of wrong doing. She went to this school to influence kids at a the age of 9 about sexuality (even after class). It’s not her place to have these conversations with such young kids specially after school hours. The LGBTQ community has some serious perversions and their showing through.

I’m extremely happy she is no longer teaching. I hope the investigation has punishment of some sort with it. Sexual abuse even.

I don't think anyone is saying you should be in a closet. The general attitude is you just should not be around kids if you are incapable of carrying on teaching duties without bringing up your genitals or genital preferences.

Who says I was? I have never brought up my genitals in front of the kids and never will. And I do work with kids.

Specifically how did she influence non-queer students to be queer?

You did: "I wear my trans pride bracelet to work." That's a non-verbal way of bringing it up / drawing attention to it.

No. It just means that people thought I was a boy, called me a boy, but I’m actually a girl. Didn’t mention my genitals once.

Your attitude is sexist, and you're upsetting the feminists by reinforcing traditional gender roles. You're also ignoring the obvious biological difference.

BTW, what is "playing Hail Mary"? I'm a dude (been one my whole existence) and I've never heard those three words used like that before.

…you do realize if I work with kids I’m using how they see gender. They have no clue that “penis means boys and vagina means girls” to sick perverts who fantasize what kids genitals are. Seriously. They’re disgusting if they want to talk about a persons genitals so much.

As for what Hail Mary is? It’s a catching game. One person throws the ball and others try to catch it. I play it with the kids sometimes.

I wasn't asking about how kids see gender. I was asking you how you see it. What's meaningful in your eyes between being a girl vs a boy. What's the difference? Why is it an important distinction for you to make?

At what age do you think people commonly become aware of this distinction between boys and girls?

We always called it "3 flies up" or "500", but I could see the religious-themed name if that's your preference.

She in her own words said these kids are queer because of her so maybe you should ask her

I used to play with the neighbor girl when I was a very little kid. We would play my little ponies. Trust me… I’m very much so a man and male. You thinking you can judge from such a small thing is crazy talk in my opinion.

JoeKnows, I don't mean any disrespect with this question. We've been willing to engage with one another respectfully although we don't lean the same way politically. I am asking this with all sincerity. No harm intended.

Do you think non-heterosexuality is contagious? Honest question, man.

And, before you answer, consider this. Would you have the same response/reaction if a heterosexual teacher was meeting students outside classroom hours to talk about his/her sex life? I'm going to go with the glass "half full" and assume you realize that NO teacher should be talking to ANY student at anytime OUTSIDE curriculum hours about sexuality of ANY variation.

I believe that kids have role models. They look up to adults that stand out to them. I do believe that adults can manipulate kids. I also find it disturbing that a teacher would do just that behind the schools back and behind the parents back. She obviously believes this to be a form of activism or she wouldn’t so proud of it. I hope she’s criminally charged with abuse.

For argument's sake, let's say that ALL teachers prior to what is termed "Gay Pride" started were heterosexual. Statistically, we know that's not true, but for all intents and purposes, as far as anybody knew every staff and faculty member's public persona was heterosexual. So, where did X percentage of non-heterosexual students come from? Do you see that it makes no sense that someone would choose their sexuality SOLELY because one of their teachers is a specific sexuality?

That would be akin to saying that you never ever liked chocolate ice cream and the only reason you eat it is because Mrs. Smith, your favorite teacher from the third loved chocolate ice cream. If you don't like chocolate ice cream, it won't be appealing to you no matter how many people tell you they like chocolate ice cream.

The only way your argument fits is for you to think someone's sexuality is contagious. I'm assuming you are heterosexual. Would knowing your 5th grade teacher was gay make you want to be gay? It doesn't work like that.

But, MORE IMPORTANTLY, are you saying that you would hold a different opinion if a heterosexual teacher was talking to some of her students outside classroom hours about her sexual preferences? Would you be cheering that teacher's termination and calling for court action? If not, why not?

So someone wearing a crucifix is bringing up religion?
Is having a photo of your heterosexual spouse bring up intercourse and sexual activity?

OK. I believe that you are reading something in that statement that isn't there.

How I interpret that statement is within the context in which I typically hear it and that it means that children who may have been questioning their own developing sexuality knows someone who is nice and "normal" it's okay for them to express those feelings. It does NOT mean that they are queer because she's queer. It's more of they didn't think of themselves as "bad" or "wrong" or "dirty" or "abnormal" for having those feelings.

A big part of the spread of AIDS was because so many gay men were closeted because it could cost them their jobs, some were in heterosexual marriages (while cheating on their wives) and doing other unsafe things to hide their true sexuality. So, it only stands to reason if kids are around all kinds of people (of different races, ethnicities, religions, sexualities, nationalities, etc.) they will come to understand that being *different* is not equal to "bad" (or "wrong" or "evil" or <whatever>). Instead of it being a dark, dirty secret where they feel they have to sneak around and explore things because the adults around them (usually family and church family) won't discuss the questions they have.

This is the exact same argument against abortion. Not teaching children about sex, hormones and sexually transmitted diseases, safe sex, etc. does NOT prevent teenage pregnancies and stds. It allows it to grow because many adults can't just turn off their hormones. Teens are going to fool around. Would we rather have them fooling around responsibly or not? Why is sex such a dirty word when it comes to Americans? How is it fair to just closer our eyes and hope they don't get pregnant or catch something that has no cure instead of educating them, letting them ask hard questions and being honest? No, abortion shouldn't be birth control. But, dead silence and no guidance from the adults around them isn't either.

As a child abuse advocate, it pains me greatly how they've been conflating and misusing the word grooming. Now, all these concerned people are side-eyeing teachers and the real predators have just been given even an easier pathway to our children. It's reckless.

Why is it that heterosexual people don't feel the need to announce it to the world and shove it in their face all the time?
