How left-leaning vs right-leaning do you think the employees of Netflix are, as a group? Like, would you say they're roughly reflective of the country as a whole, more or less split evenly down the middle, depending on the year? Do you think they're a good bit more conservative? A good bit more liberal?

 

Probably a good bit more liberal, but I've worked for companies like that in the past. They still have their snowflakes on both sides. And, yes, the same goes for the predominantly right-leaning companies I've worked for.

 

Ok, why don't you try to quantify "Probably a good bit more liberal" with some metric? I'd propose campaign donations because it's well-documented. What percentage of Netflix campaign contributions go to Democrats vs Republicans, would you guess?

You know, I and many of my friends have engaged in disappointment filled discussions about Netflix. But not once has the notion of 'woke' come up. We find there is not enough new content on a regular basis. And what they do offer isn't of great interest. I wonder, if we are an accurate sampling, how much of the decline has come from that rather than incensed folks about 'wokeness'? Thank God Elon Musk came along and provided the appropriate talking points!

Funny, the only time Cruz has talked about Netflix and "pornographic" was in relation to the movie "Cuties". Something for which they have been indicted for due to its sexualization of young girls.

Personally I wish George Carlin was still alive. I can only imagine the jokes he'd be telling. That man had no problem going against the flow. And he was GREAT at it. Best comedian in at least 100 years imo. And that is even including the Three Stooges and Abbot & Costello. All three sets of comedians put Chappelle to shame imo.

Yes, that was in Tyler, Texas, from a prosecutor named Lucas Babin, but a Federal Judge halted such proceedings and dismissed the case. From the article, "A hearing was initially set on that motion for Thursday. But in a procedural move on the eve of the hearing, Babin dropped the original indictment and brought four new indictments under a different statute, alleging that the film violates the Texas state law against child pornography." And the injunction would be on June 14, 2022. So we will see here.

BTW, those statutes Babin is now referring to can be applied to any rated R, or even NA film that is shown in the movie theaters. And yet none of them have been charged. The reason, the person in the character may be young, even under 18 or 21, but the actual actor or actress is a few years older. The DA would have to prove a) that the actors were ACTUALLY under age 18 at the time of filming, b) meet the precise definitions under the statute, and c) that Netflix knowingly or intentionally knew of this and did it anyway. All three, pluse a few more, would have to be proven. Otherwise, it will fail.

 

That would be a problem. Woke comedians are not funny.

 

So the people who analyze stock are liberals now and lying? You may want to stop with the conspiracy theory here. I have given articles from investment websites that have talked why Disney or Netflix stock has dropped and it has nothing to do with "woke" any whatsoever.
