Interesting read... May 15, 2022 it started.

    https://www.nti.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/NTI_Paper_BIO-TTX_Final.pdf

Results from the 2021 Tabletop Exercise Conducted in Partnership with the Munich Security Conference

Developed in consultation with technical and policy experts, the exercise scenario portrayed a deadly, global pandemic involving an unusual strain of monkeypox virus that first emerges in the fictional country of Brinia and eventually spreads globally. Later in the exercise, the scenario reveals that the initial outbreak was caused by a terrorist attack using a pathogen engineered in a laboratory with inadequate biosafety and biosecurity provisions and weak oversight. The exercise scenario concludes with more than three billion cases and 270 million fatalities globally. As part of the scenario development process, NTI conducted a virtual consultation with experts in December 2020. (See Appendix A for the list of participating experts.)

Sigh!! Why do you think that they are still storing live smallpox in a Lab in Atlanta?
    https://www.niaid.nih.gov/diseases-conditions/smallpox

Because this has been on everyone’s list for years and yes it is not that hard to create bio weapons however the problem with bioweapons is that they are notoriously hard to handle and have a habit of biting the hand that released them

Great! My post has accomplished something positive: you'll start watching REAL news for a change. My task was successfully accomplished.

BTW, I don't get CNN with my service. But I've heard some great things about it. Like, for example, that MAGA-extremists hate it. That's a huge endorsement of their credibility.

And apparently nowhere near the lethality either. Note give me one good reason to trust the PRC owned WHO.

There are no antivaccers there are people however who believe that a year after the Creation of the MRNA vaccine there is now enough data available to draw a scientific conclusion finds them almost totally ineffective, and dangerous to younger recipients.

Monkeypox Outbreak Prompts WHO to Explore Sexual Contact Theory.

"What seems to be happening now is that it has got into the population as a sexual form, as a genital form, and is being spread, as are sexually transmitted infections, which has amplified its transmission around the world," David Heymann told Reuters."

"Heymann is chairman of the WHO's Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Infectious Hazards with Pandemic and Epidemic Potential."

"Another infectious disease expert, professor Jimmy Whitworth with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said there is an urgent need to find out if the outbreak is spreading differently through sexual contact."

"You could imagine that a female person living in the same house, sharing utensils and so on with somebody who's incubating it could get it, but we haven't seen that so far," Whitworth told Insider. "That's what makes us a bit suspicious that maybe this is transmitting sexually, and we need to find that out. Because if so, that's new—that's not been seen before."

They need to get to the bottom of this.

"According to information published by WHO, "cases have mainly but not exclusively been identified amongst men who have sex with men (MSM) seeking care in primary care and sexual health clinics."

We need to make Pox vaccines readily available to those that want them. It appears that Smallpox vax works pretty well against Monkeypox.

Biden, to his credit, purchased millions of Monkeypox vaccines after Massachusetts confirms case.

"The US has ordered 13 million additional doses of the monkeypox vaccine after a Massachusetts man contracted the rare — but potentially severe — virus."

"The massive $119 million order of Jynneos jabs — which can be used to treat both the monkeypox virus and smallpox — was created by the biotechnology company Bavarian Nordic, according to Newsweek."

    $9.15 per certainly seems reasonable.

    More:
"Vaccination after exposure to monkeypox virus is still possible. However, the sooner an exposed person gets the vaccine, the better."

"CDC recommends that the vaccine be given within 4 days from the date of exposure in order to prevent onset of the disease. If given between 4–14 days after the date of exposure, vaccination may reduce the symptoms of disease, but may not prevent the disease."

    Revaccination After Exposure
"Persons exposed to monkeypox virus and who have not received the smallpox vaccine within the last 3 years, should consider getting vaccinated."

"The sooner the person receives the vaccine, the more effective it will be in protecting against monkeypox virus."

"Monkeypox is a serious disease. It causes fever, headache, muscle aches, backache, swollen lymph nodes, a general feeling of discomfort, exhaustion, and severe rash. Studies of monkeypox in Central Africa—where people live in remote areas and are medically underserved—showed that the disease killed 1–10% of people infected."

"In contrast, most people who get the smallpox or monkeypox vaccine have only minor reactions, like mild fever, tiredness, swollen glands, and redness and itching at the place where the vaccine is given. However, these vaccines do have more serious risks, too. It is estimated that between 1 and 2 people out of every 1 million people vaccinated will die as a result of life-threatening complications from the vaccine."

    https://www.cdc.gov/poxvirus/monkeypox/clinicians/smallpox-vaccine.html

So if we take the middle on both, we have 5/100 death from the disease and 1.5/1,000,000 from the vaccine. It looks to me like the break even point is if your odds of contracting it are 1 in 33,300.

Apparently it's being touted as being spread sexually by some.

So I guess you're safe as long as you remain married.

Did you read the study? They conduct these studies in order to develop protocols to prevent the next pandemic. They are just using monkeypox as the latest example. We did this too when SARS appeared and developed a protocol, which the Bush Administration started and the Obama Administration developed into a national pandemic plan with the Trump Administration throwing away said plan prior to the Covid outbreak. The whole point of the exercise is to a) identify weaknesses, strengths, and national security concerns both locally/nationally, b)develop strategies to either mitigate or severely reduce the our weaknesses, c) develop strategies to strengthen our strengths and a plan to coordinate said activities globally with international organizations and/or foreign countries, and d) stockpile any necessary supplies for the next pandemic.

    The plan summarized the following:
    • Weak global detection, assessment, and warning of pandemic risks. The international community needs a more robust, transparent detection, evaluation, and early warning system that can rapidly communicate actionable information about pandemic risks.
    • Gaps in national-level preparedness. National governments should improve preparedness by developing national-level pandemic response plans built upon a coherent system of “triggers” that prompt anticipatory action, despite uncertainty and near-term costs—in other words, on a “no-regrets” basis.
    • Gaps in biological research governance. The international system for governing dual-use biological research is neither prepared to meet today’s security requirements nor is it ready for significantly expanded challenges in the future. There are risk reduction needs throughout the bioscience research and development life cycle.
    • Insufficient financing of international preparedness for pandemics. Many countries around the world lack financing to make essential national investments in pandemic preparedness.
What I highlighted in bold was highlighted in the executive summary. Second, the key is weak global detection, assessment, and warning of pandemic risks. The second biggest factor is insufficient financing of national/international preparedness for a future potential pandemic, and third, and what keys it all together, gaps in biological research governance, both nationally and internationally. This means cooperating with other foreign labs as well as the WHO to help improve a weak global detection, assessment, and warning of pandemic risks. This also means cooperation among other nations, including China and Russia, just to name a few. We can no longer just approve of cooperation on health with only countries we agree with politically nor does it mean abandoning the UN as one of the hinges to help improve global detection.

There are anti-vaxxers out there. Anti-vaxxers do not want any vaccine and think a Chiropractor is an internist who uses "natural ability" to heal from all sorts of ailments. It is not all chiropractors, but they tend to lead the anti-vax movement. It started with Gov Perry of Texas wanting the HPV vaccine to help prevent ovarian cancer. To prevent that, the Texas Department of Health created a plan to have 12-year-old girls to be vaccinated to help prevent ovarian cancer among young women, a concern at that time among the health community. Now with this vaccine, it was a 15 year study, finally approved by the FDA, and was offered available to the public prior to Gov Perry amending the education statutes to add HPV vaccine for adolescent girls. The risks were extremely low, rare to very rare side effects, and a pap smear must be performed first before obtaining the vaccine for first-time doses, I think. This was the precursor to what we saw with Covid.

    https://www.pharmacytimes.com/view/anti-vaxxers-increasingly-question-hpv-vaccine-on-facebook

The anti-vaccination movement has had a long and sad history, both in the United States, in the UK, and even in China. With all the vaccines that have been developed since the mid-19th century, and especially in the 20th century, there have always been anti-vaxxers in our midst. The difference today with Covid or when Governor Peggy was proposing the HPV vaccine instead of the past like when vaccines were first introduced, is that now in modern times, anti-vaxxers are comingled with their political idealogy rather than actual science. They cherry-pick the data and ignore everything else, or they simply just make things up.

There is enough data, peer-reviewed data, that the vaccine for Covid and HPV is safe, at least for the first two doses for most people. If you have a question, see your internist, not the TV Doctor or a Chiropractor, who happens to be a glorified masseuse.

Because the image you gave is the absolute worse case scenario if we had no international detection warning, ignore the warnings by any and all governments, with a high infection rate and mortality rate. It's a what if scenario. In this case, a highly infectious disease with a high mortality rate with the perputrators using inadquate biosecurity and security measures to prevent the spread in a fictitious country. In this scenario, it was a group of terrorists that developed a pathogen that was mutated based on the monkeypox sequence into something more deadly. A little Star Treky, but it gets the job done.

They wargamed a pandemic with Monkeypox... it is that simple. They started in May 2022... What's your point.

I don't understand this Monkeypox. Where did it come from? And why is it here?

So, basically, a victim gets a pox all over their body and it eventually becomes an open wound that spreads contamination all over the place. Coming into contact with contamination is how it spreads.

A pox? What is this, the dark ages?

It looks like it's a bad time to be on the dating scene! But hopefully, the visual signs of a pox all over their body will serve as a warning not to get near them. Much less have sex.

Like they learned with cowpox, introducing different, milder strains of pox to the body tends to immunize one against worse forms of poxes. But, this was medieval medicine at work. Don't take it as an authority.

I fully expect that the smallpox vaccine will be less effective against this strain of Monkeypox and a vaccination program from big pharma will take place. But, I really hope that this outbreak gets squashed in the early days of this outbreak, now!
