I watched both games. Carolina crumbled. Another exciting Leafs game, I thought they deserved the win but ended up losing in OT. Let's hope that tonight we'll get our teams to advance on 4-3 home advantage.

Would you prefer Tampa or the Leafs next round?

I hate the Bolts because of the way they behaved during last season playoffs against us, so it would be nice to beat them. If we play the Leafs, it erodes the home ice advantage because there are lot of passionate Lefs fans down here. Hard call, but I'll say Leafs, because I think we have a better chance against them.

Leafs Panthers games have all been very entertaining this season.
The two best offences in the conference would be a fun series.

    Sorry for the Leafs.
The Canes have survived although it was tense.

Sadly, they didn't play as well as they have been throughout the rest of the season. Third period, they just looked like they were scrambling. I don't think they recovered from the disqualified goal...

I can't even fault the Leafs.
It's not as if they didn't make plenty of chances.
Vasilevskiy and Hedman were just too good for them.

My husband, who is new to hockey, jumped on as a Leaf's fan. But I had to caution him and give him a little history first about how hard it is to be one!

It had to be a Commonwealth team for me not an American one.
I was influenced by a Canadian friend who is a lifelong Leafs fan.
To be fair to him, my friend did tell me not to choose the Leafs as it meant a lifetime of failure and disappointment.

I firmly believe that if a state/city does not get snow, they shouldn't get a hockey franchise!!!!

Yeah, when was the last time a pond froze in Florida or Las Vegas.
It should go back to being an outdoor sport played on frozen lakes.

I think that was the first time in 5 years the Bruins got knocked out in the first round.

The Canes are my B Team. I hope they kill the Rangers.

    LMAO

Y'all are pikers. The Chicago Cubs went 108 years between their two World Series victories in 1908 and 2016.

When they finally won it was like the Second Coming of Christ for Cubs fans......maybe bigger. :D

I've been waiting longer for England to win the World Cup again.

    Not long now.

    It's coming home...

I think you may have been right.

If Tampa sweep their way to another Cup it makes the Leafs look better.
We may be the only team to take them to a 7th game.

Well, clearly Tampa is a better coached team and have a better goalie than Panthers. They had a plan and shut down Panthers offense. As you might remember the Panthers coach was forced to resign in the middle of the season, and another guy took over, and he was out of his depth in the playoffs. No plan whatsoever.
