At least it wasn’t a school. There will be more soul searching. I don't think we'll ever get a handle on shootings:

I hope Americans can start working together to solve this epidemic and eject the voices that demand nothing be changed.

And before someone says it, f*** your thoughts and prayers.

    Thoughts and prayers.

I wonder how long it will take before democrats stand on the graves of the fallen casing for irrational change that won’t actually fix the problem while virtue signaling.

Y’all cats don’t get it. You will never EVER remove the second amendment without civil war. Ever. Under any circumstances.

If you don’t like the second, I suggest you get a gun and force everyone else to get rid of theirs or leave the country. Because we will never give up our guns without war. You will have to kill us first.

I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

If people were not dying no one would care about guns. And yes, we know the pro-gun side couldn’t
care less how many people die over lax gun regulations — if children being executed while locked in a school for police sit outside because they are scared of one gun doesn’t do it, nothing will.

No I’m not threatening civil war. I’m trying to get you to recognize something. There is ONLY ONE way to get rid of the second. That is through abject and horrific violence. There is no other option.

There is no debate. There is no reasoning. We will not give up our guns unless you violently take them from us and killing millions of Americans in the process.

I’m saying this because y’all act like y’all are expecting us to wake up one day and there be this terrible tragedy done with a firearm and we are going to say oh hell we have to give ‘em up. That is not and will NEVER happen.

    Guns.

    Again.

And once again, our laws and their level of enforcement were insufficient to keep people from being killed and wounded by gunshot.

In the year 2020, some 45,000 people in the United States of America died from gunshot. That works out to one gunshot death every 12 minutes on average, 24/7/365.

    Guns.

    Again.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well . . . 'n un-shot.

I have less an issue with gun owners not wanting to give up their guns — I am a gun owner — my issue is the refusal to do anything or allow any legislation to even be discussed.

From enhanced background checks to training to licensing to requiring secondhand sales meet any vetting — the answer is always no.

And there is a reason for that. We do not believe that their intentions are as honest as yours appear to be. Meaning we don’t believe that they want to just do what they can to save people while still respecting the second amendment. We believe that if we cave in to those common sense gun regulations you’re referring to, the next time a tragedy such as this occurs, they’re going to come back and demand additional “common sense gun control measures”. And then the next time and then next time and the next time. We view this as an insidious attack on the second with the intent to completely eliminate it as a practical useful right while obfuscating that intent under the guise of “saving lives”.

Now one might say, “well that’s just a slippery slope argument” but it’s not. And how do we know it’s not? Because if I were to propose to one of these gun regulation proponents that I would be willing to accept ALL of his common sense gun regulations that he can put on a list right now. But in return I need some guarantee that my fears of repeated demands for gun regulation in the future will not occur.

They’ll never agree. Why? Because their intention is elimination, or at the very least wholesale castration, of the second.

Time to either create a national license or get all of the states to require licenses for gun ownership. Some states already have it yet most don't. Lincenses that can include mental health records, age, criminal history, processing time, and even further requirements for the more dangerous weapons like the AR-15.

So turn a civil right into a privilege. No thank you.

The AR-15 is no more dangerous than any other semi-automatic rifle. In fact, human hands and feet are more dangerous than the AR-15. Hands and feet are used to kill more people than ALL long guns. That includes shotguns and every other single type of rifle.

They literally cannot ban guns. What are you scared of eventually happening if measures are enacted to keep weapons away from people like this.

the gun banners are going to have to deal with this fact. for decades-until it was turned into a private operation under clinton, the Government agency the Department of civilian Marksmanship sold hundreds of thousands of MI GARANDS and MI Carbines to civilians along will millions upon millions of rounds of ammo Through the mail

I have bought several of each rifle from the DCM and then the CMP (successor organization) two Kimber bolt action target rifles, an Anschutz PCP air target rifle, and 5,000 rounds of 30-06. How are the gun banners going to resolve the fact that our own government thought civilians should have real military rifles and carbines

At some point, the ban all guns crowd is going to have to listen to the thoughts and prayers club, and vice versa.

I’ve no desire to ban guns, but surely, we can collectively come up with something. IMO, it is mental health care.

Is anyone in thoughts and prayers crowd willing to admit that this is a disturbing trend?

Okay, I am okay with some additional restrictions over an outright ban, but I have to address this sentiment.

This post of yours is really incitefull, you know that right? If you encourage a war, do you really think victory will be that easy?

If Liberal Democrats are really as bad as you think they are, do you REALLY believe they will come for your guns head on?!

They will come at you in a way to where your guns will not save you.

I’ve always wanted one. Maybe one day.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilian_Marksmanship_Program

    https://thecmp.org/sales-and-service/m1-garand/

    $650 for one.
